13 of us sat at the pope table for a birthday dinner and thought the food and service was fabulous!
We are very happy to hear you enjoyed your visit and we hope to see you at your nearest Buca di Beppo soon!
Our server Arzo was fantastic, friendly and competent
Our server had difficulty with a large party and very little patience. Food was pretty good and we had plenty of space for our large party.
Good family place for Italian food and beverage Service was excellent
Buca is Buca. It's a chain. Very similar everywhere. Big portions. Pretty good Italian food. Service in Naples needs to improve.
Everything was good. Just can rate it excellent.
The Naples. FL location is sorely understaffed and except for one or 2 servers, everybody is in training and have no clue what they are doing. Unless corporate steps in and gets a handle on employee retention and training, I am afraid they will soon see the restaurant fade into the Gulf of Mexico sunset...!
Long wait times for seating, table service, food delivery even final payment. Basic strategy of serving only 3or 5 person meal portions is clearly ridiculous.
Very disappointing. Food was cold and seemed stale. Pasta had little sauce and was very dry
Food took a long time to come out of the kitchen.
Was my first experience, had to wait for a table after making reservations. Once seated we waited 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were not being waited on. Plus it was so noisy you couldn't hear yourself think. Waiter seemed to be new or just unorganized. Took our drink order and then we waited another 10 minutes or so before he brought them to us. When food arrived, one plate was dirty, he dissapeared to get clean one which was 5 minutes later when he returned. He never came back to see if all okay with our food, we sat for about 10-15 minutes after being done before he came by, asked if we needed a to go box, desert. One person ordered a grand marnye on the rocks, they were out so they comped the baileys he ordered instead. Then 15 minutes went by before we got the check, just a long dragged out evening. Shouldn't have been there 2 hours. Food was good, but we'll not be going back.
We have been going to Buca for many years. Food was wonderful although we ordered a margarita pizza and it mostly sauce. We think our server was new , so there was many delays in getting orders in and wine to us, the bill and our left overs packaged up. We did ask multiple times to have ac turned down. There was vent blowing full blast on our table. Manager took a long time , most of the dinner to fix. Buca is an open restaurant so it tends to be noisy with large parties. Overall it is a good experience and good food.
Good for comfort food. Spaghetti and Meatballs very good. The chicken dishes good. Ok for Family Dining. Nice ambiance, unique.
Took 45 minutes to get wine/beer/cocktails
Terrible service, out of lasagna, and food cold. They had a bad night.
Not sure how you can possibly mess up ice tea but they did. This restaurant I guess is perfect if you want family style servings, otherwise do not go here. The wait staff tried very hard to be helpful and friendly but it was obvious that they never waited on high end diners. If you consider yourself a diner who knows what you want and expect quality service, well then you have been warned. If you like to eat an individual meal and not have to share it with your fellow diners then do not entertain this establishment. Decor is filled with over 1000 photos which are interesting hung in every possible space. The kitchen is very clean and the staff very friendly. Even the NA beer is the low end O’Doules and the wine is served in a high ball class, real class!!! Suzie is great but too bad the restaurant she works at is not up to her standards. We felt like we were in a Twilight Zone episode. Very Very different restaurant and we are sure it is great for some patrons, but beware if you are interested in fine dining.
A great place to go. Too bad it is so big, because if you had to wait for a table you would have a great time looking at all the trivia pictures around the restaurant. It is great. Service was wonderful and the food is very good.
From the time we sat down until we were finished over 2 hours had passed. Food was barely warm, we had to ask multiple times for refills, extra napkins, lemon, etc...there was no sense of urgency by the staff at all. While the food was good, this will be our last visit to this restaurant.
This is a great family restaurant. We visit it every year when our children come to Naples on school break. The food is well prepared and very tasty. Menu is varied; something for everyone and guarantied to not break your budget. Great interesting atmosphere. A visit to Naples would not be complete without a visit to Buca di Beppo.
We enjoyed our lunch today. Our server Roni was very attentive and personable.
We had a quiet lunch today. our server Maria was great, friendly and attentive
Was not happy with the fact the three of us had to eat the same meal.
Been going there for over 7 years, this was the worst EVER! Service was beyond terrible,
We had to wait over 10 mins to complete one order of cocktails, she would start then walk away.
Then it took 20 plus to get them, almost every time we ordered one.The restaurant was not busy, yes, there were 9 of us, 8 adults and one. No one ever came to apologize for the wait.
12 year old. We had reservations for 6:30pm and walked out of the well after 9:15pm
I think our waitress was new. However, we had to suggest every step of service to her.
Not a fair night to evaluate because they had several staff call in sick. It is a comfortable place with large portions and reasonable prices for Naples. It was just two of us and the menu is geared towards larger parties. The food was very good though.
My husband and I have been here many times while on vacation with big parties And this time there were 10 of us and we sat at the kernels table. It took over a half hour just to get her drinks. The waitress seemed overworked and was not apologetic each time we reminded her to get something that we requested more than once. Do you like the food so we will be back but I am hoping that the service is better next time.
It was Valentine’s Day. We had reservations for 7:15. We arrived at 7:05. We waited in the entry area with others (who said they had reservations as well ) for 50 minutes. We were seated and placed our drink and dinner orders immediately. After 30 minutes we had to ASK our server for our drinks. Food arrived after an additional 25 minutes so we ate at almost 9 pm. Food was ok but nothing special and a glass of wine was overpriced. Maybe on a regular night all would have been different.
We had never been to a Buca and probably shouldn’t have tried it out on Valentines Day. We waited almost an hour for our reservation only to be seated in the bright, loud bar, which would have been available immediately anyway. The portions are way too costly and large for a couple to share, much better for a group. Chicken parm was decent. The two wines our server suggested were just so so. I’d maybe try it again under better circumstances when they have their reservation system under better control.
Love the food and prices.
Had a 6:45 pm dinner reservation on Valentine's day, was not seated until 8. There were empty tables but not enough wait staff. Food and drink orders took for ever, and food was average at best. Not a good experience
Our experience was phenomenal. George and Jim made our visit one to remember. Will definitely be coming back for all special events.
One of our favorite places for lunch and dinner. Food is generally excellent, portions very generous, to say the least. Service can be a little slow, but attentive when launched. Bar area usually noisy, but what the hey...
The hostess at the front did not greet us verbally. She showed us to our table and departed without again speaking a single word. They were out of the meal I had gone there for lasagna. I ordered a sausage rigatoni in place of that and it was so dry it was in edible. They brought a side of extra sauce however that was not helpful. My companion ordered spaghetti with meat sauce that was delivered with meatballs instead. We spoke with our waitress to address the fact and was told that she had written down spaghetti with meatballs therefore that was what they delivered to our table. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
Not a top quality Italian food but you get a good value and very generous portions.
Just because the restaurant name includes several Italian words, has red and checkered tablecloths and is decorated (cluttered) in random Italian memorabilia, it should not assume to be good Italian food. Such was the case several nights ago. Service was poor. I had to seek out our waitress for service who was also the bartender! She was impatient with our questions regarding their unusual family style service. Finally, our order arrived. The lasagna was dry, over cooked and had cheap ingredients. ($27 - sm). Chicken Marsala was tough, tasteless and small. ($30 for 3 small pieces). Small serving of string beans was $12. Small house salad was the highlight of the night. Never again. Too many good Italian restaurants in Naples.
They were late seating us and seated others without reservations. Waited 20 minutes for waitress after being seated. Food was served not hot!
The pizza crust was not done. But everything else was fine. Will go back will insist that the crust is fully cooked
Just went for a night out dining, we are locals who have never been to this restaurant. Made a reservation for 6:30 pm on a Saturday night during season. Upon our arrival we were seated right away. Our waitress greeted us promptly and explained the menu to us as well as taking our drink order. We ordered an appetizer which easily could have fed four people. The waitress brought our
We just loved the decor and the service. The food we delicious! I also enjoyed being able to thank the chef and staff for the magic in the kitchen!
The food is unbeatable and the restaurant ambiance is delightful. However, Buca is woefully understaffed, which was not at all the fault of the kind and hardworking servers. It took 45 minutes for anyone to approach our table and nearly 2 hours to get our main courses. My friends and I have all worked at restaurants and understood that the staff had been put in an impossible situation, but I had almost an identical experience at the Buca in Pittsburgh some years back and unfortunately cannot recommend a restaurant that takes quite that long.
