The spaghetti and meatballs and lasagne we ordered were excellent. Our waitress was nice, but it felt like with some things it was a bother when we asked and things like our drinks initially coming to the table took quite a while.
Drink and food took forever to arrive at our table of 9. Food came in two separate times, 20 minutes apart, very poor service!
Growing up Italian I don't really like going to Italian restaurants. More often than not I am disappointed in the food. I wasn't expecting to like Buca di Beppo's but had to go since it was a work function. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good! The servings are enormous & the wait staff is incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This is a good family oriented restaurant that serves a solid Italian menu.
Love the food. The service was just a little slow.
we had 10 and a highchair for a birthday...table was too too small for the large amt of food we ordered and we were all squashed in.....too loud....salads were good...lasagna and fettuccine just ok....
this was a better experience! the chicken saltimbocca and linguine frutti di mare was exactly what i was looking for. Flavors! now this is what i'm talking about!
Our waiter, Zach, was great. We liked geting our picture at the table together. The ffod was super. Great meal before the movies. We were in and out just as we wanted.
Buca is always good for groups, romantic evenings, or just because. Now that they have a lunch menu and to-go options, I go more often than when they just fed large groups.
food was very bland. no flavor. no garlic, oregano. disappointed.
Excellent food. Awfully noisy though
Delicious food served by a very friendly server. Will most certainly return.
Martini's were small, wine expensive. Food, not cheap, and a lot of it - be careful what you order as you will certainly need a box for the leftovers. For example, an order of one of the cheesy breads, chopped antipasto salad, and chicken riggotini is enough for four people, twice what two would be able to eat. There were only two of us, and it would have been nice for the portions to be smaller, or the waiter to tell us how much food we would have, resulting in a smaller bill. Maybe they are used to folks wanting to take leftovers home.
We met friends for New Year's Eve early dinner. We have done this now for a few years.
It was perfect!
The apple gorgonzola salad and eggplant parmigiana were both excellent. Fettucine alfredo was somewhat bland.
It's Buca, what's there to say? It is the same as other Bucas. Parking is difficult with the theater right next door and sharing the parking lot, especially during the holidays. Food was very decent along with the service. It was busy but we made reservations so got seated almost immediately. Reservations are important if going in a big group especially.
Even though we had an Open Table table reservation, we waited 45 minutes before being seated!!! I wrote on the reservation we were coming with little children, so I think it was in everyone's interest to have us seated within 15 minutes. 45 minutes wait was just too much. We had a great waiter, and great food, but the mood wasn't there anymore. Don't bother to go there through Open Table.
We've been here several times. Most of the food is okay - cooked well but a little bland - with the exception of the saltimbocca, which has excellent flavor. It's always noisy here, but they have good service, take reservations, and are generous in refilling bread. If you've never been here, their portions are described as 'family style,' and they really are: the meat entrees serve 2 adults (well), pasta probably 3-4 (and those are the 'small' portions!). An easy place to take picky kids.
Once again...Buca has exceeded our expectations and surprised us with another Fantastic Christmas Day Dinner !!!!
we had a party of eight and an 8 month old baby and we were pretty cramped in the booth
because no high chair was provided. when I made the reservation I mentioned that we had a baby coming and they were not ready for that. Otherwise service was fine but we were all cramped in the booth.
Overbooking left us standing outside for nearly an hour even with a reservation. Once seated it took more than 30 minutes for the food to arrive, one plate at a time with 5-10 minutes between plates. Other than the logistics, the facility and food were both great.
Excellent! Went with a large group (10 people) on Christmas Eve and a tight time schedules - one in our party was performing at the church Christmas Eve service. Our server was attentive and we were served quickly in spite of standing room only crowds at the entrance. All the food was excellent. It is hard to please our large group...we have picky eaters with varied preferences and finding a restaurant that will suit all is tricky. We will come back to Buca!
I wasn't sure what to expect frow what I consider a chain restaurant. However, I was impressed with the food, it was much better than I would have ever expected. I will definately return.
We had a party of 9 celebrating my sons 19th birthday. For most it was their first time there. Mike was our server and he was just GREAT! Every one had a great time. I am sure there will be most of us going back in the future.
We always enjoy the cuisine at Bucatini Di Beppos. The portions are huge and we usually order enough to use leftovers in a meal or two the following day. The decor on the walls are never boring with an eclectic arrangement of nostalgia. It is always hard to try something new when you love the meals you have had there before. We have never been disappointed.
We were celebrating a birthday and had a reservation for 9 people. Unfortunately we were seated at a booth which would seat 8, but nine was a real squeeze. Merry Christma!
I asked them for a special occasion (50 years anniversary) but they did not do anything!
We didn't get any special treatment not even "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY". I was looking forward to a special event for my parents :(
I'm very sorry for this dinner!
A very bad experience!
Excellent meal and our server, Kyle, was a true gem! Attentive and very personable. My father.....who is very very picky .....love the food, the restaurant decor and the service! Keep up the good work!
I took my husband here for his birthday with a group of friends. This was our 1st time and we really enjoyed it. The food was Awesome! Huge family sized portions, great wine and kid friendly. We will definately be going back in the future-the prosciutto stuffed chicken is the best!
Everything was very good during our luncheon experience. However, I had the spaghetti & meatball, and the pasta was cold. Otherwise everything was great.
My business partner and I brought our employess here for an early Holiday party. The food was as always wonderful! Our experience was not as wonderful! First, we were a group of 8, seated very closely to the family of 4 dining next to us. The restraunt was not very busy and there were plenty of empty booths and tables open. I felt very bad for the family we were elbowing! Our server brought out the dessert platter at the end of our meal and disappeared. Didn't check at all on our drink status. I got up to find someone just to bring us water. All servers ignored me and avoided eye contact. Finally, I just interrupted someone bussing a table and asked for a pitcher of water and cups. He acted as if this were an inconvience.
Great food but the portions are insane. I know that's what they go for but dang...
We met friends for dinner. The restaurant was a bit noisy as there were several large parties nearby. Our waiter Chuck was one of the best. He was very attentive and was candid regarding menu choices and his suggestions were spot on. Wish all waitstaff were as honest. We shared two of the small specialty dishes and there was more than enough for four. We will return.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and ambience
Most Buca's are pretty much the same: good food, good service, good ambiance, pricey selections, even for the small plates. Good for an occasional visit.
Not only was the food phenomenal, the staff was great. Even though we went on a busy night we didn't wait too long for our food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and this wont be my last visit.
We had a 7 p.m. reservation and were seated at 7:10 p.m. This was amazing since, on Thanksgiving, the place was slammed. We were able to use the elevator for one of our party, as she uses a wheelchair. The staff were responsive and accommodating. The ambiance was very family friendly. Our entire party loved the meal. The salad was fantastic, the mashed potatoes were, according to one person in our party, the best that they had ever eaten, and the rest was well above average. I love this place and would dine here again in a heartbeat.
The staff were very friendly and cheerfully doing their best on a very busy Thanksgiving Day. My only complaint was that we had reservations for 6 PM, but waited one hour to be seated. I don't think the staff could be faulted for this. It was busy and chaotic.
Reservations were easy. Restaurant was accommodating when changing the reservation by an hour. The restaurant was packed and had a huge group being seated when we arrived. I expected the service to be slow but it was quite efficient. Also, the food was great! We really appreciated the fact that we could order traditional Thanksgiving fare, but satisfy our Italian craving at the same time!
The Buca franchise has got some character and is trying to be a family style destination, but they fail to do a great job. I made a reservation, and requested a table for five, with handicap accessibility. We had to wait for a few minutes, and then were taken to a table in a busy section right next to the service area, at the top of the stairs in a busy through way. When I requested a better option, they tried to stuff us into a booth. I refused, and it was evident the staff was uptight, because we would not accept the alternatives to the first table. They then made us stand and wait with my elderly parents, at the table seating area, while they looked for alternatives. Eventually a bus boy offered to push the original table and another, to
