Great place for a date but the food is average and over priced.
Awesome and so accommodating!! I messed up the reservation time and arrived a half hour late with 9 people. They did everything they could to quickly get us seated. Food is amazing. Great place for families.
Food is always great, and it’s a great ambiance. The spicy chicken rigatoni is perfect. Our server was AJ, and she is AMAZING. If you have kids, it’s worth requesting her specifically. She was prompt, personable, and went way above and beyond to let my husband and me have a great meal (and take a breath!) while the kids were happy with other stuff. This is always a great place, and it’s worth visiting every time we are in the Twin Cities.
Service was the worst part. From the beginning we felt rushed. Took forever for our waiter to get to our table, he rushed through our drink order and then our appetizer order. By rushed I mean, he kept cutting me off and trying to finish my thought....it didn't work. When you order a specialty cocktail, everything matters from appearence to taste. That sucked, they were out of the cocktail glass so it was served in a beer glass and the taste was blah.
Food was great!
I'll go back, hope for a better experience. If I got the same waiter again, I would request a different table.
Was a great meal. Service was very good.
Not shy with the garlic. Not a bad thing
Our family enjoys Buca and this is our favorite location. Food and service was great as always. This is a great location for getting to other downtown venues before/after dinner. We enjoy the cozy ambience of this location as well.
Good but wine is very pricey.
great fun for a group of 16 that included toddlers! We had a great time!
Really enjoyed the family vibe! Love that dishes come big and the point is to pass the dinner plates around like a family!
We needed to get in and out in a hurry and our waitress was super accommodating and friendly through out! The spaghetti and meat balls were delicious - the chicken Alfredo was very good, although the sauce was a bit sticky, rather than smooth. We also ordered the mozzarella bread sticks and were disappointed as they tasted like shrimp. Weird, I know, but we all thought they tasted like shrimp. Not exactly what we were looking for in bread sticks. However, we've eaten here other times and overall would recommend this place to anyone who likes Italian.
I had a good experience with my girlfriend and the service was very attentive
Always good for family Christmas Eve dinner. Consistent tasty dishes. Friendly staff. Very nice for family dining.
Delicious meal and wonderful staff. A family favorite!!
We enjoy Buca and had a great coupon offer. We had never been to this one before. It was fun. There isn’t a parking lot and I have no idea where the ‘free’ parking was that was mentioned on the open table app so plan ahead.
Took the grand daughters with my wife and daughter in law. Hadn’t been in years. Kids loved it. Salad was good. Pizza (kids) and entrees (adults) were so-so. Heavy on garlic powder.
I had been to Bucca a few years ago several times and enjoyed the food. This time around was different. We went for a casual Thanksgiving dinner and it turned out the stuffing was made with sausage. There was no vegetarian option and they wouldn't do a substitute. Since stuffing is one for the pillars of a T-day meal, we decided instead to just order off the regular menu. In the past I had ordered the Salmon which was very good. This time, it was very mediocre. The Buca salad also used to be great; came in a big bowl with fresh lettuce, feta cheese, olives etc...Apparently they don't have that one any more and instead have one with meats in it. So, we went with the Caesar Salad which was awful. The lettuce didn't taste fresh at all. We exchanged it for the Mixed Green Salad which had better flavor but was also limp and eh. Our server was very nice and very accommodating, but she couldn't fix the food. We won't be back I'm afraid.
The food was great. Spent the evening of thanksgiving with the family. The only issue was with the waitress. Didn’t seem happy to work on a holiday and showed it. We made the best of it and didn’t let it bring us down since we were excited to eat here while visiting from out of town. The kids loved the ambiance. Great spot with a garden view. Would come back again.
The food was horrible. everything tasted like sauce from a jar or can absolutely no seasoning or flavor. I took my kids there for something different for Thanksgiving, so disappointed and very much regret that decision
It was ok. Food was good but the server was lackluster. We had to ask for table bread and when brought we were given one basket for 8 people. We were celebrating my birthday and Thanksgiving and it did not feel festive.
We went for Thanksgiving because we were came with family & were in MN for the weekend. It was a perfect option to cooking & cleaning up! And we had leftovers! Great food & super friendly staff. We enjoyed it. We were early for our reservation & we got right in & were taken care of with good recommendations. Just a real family friendly place to eat. It was great! Great wine too!!!
This was a really fun evening meal spot. There were 8 of us in our group & we loved our meal. The waiter was delightful. Only recommendation was they should have offered the birthday boy a dessert. No acknowledgement except a sign in the shape of a finger pointing that said happy birthday.
the host was not friendly but the waitress was very nice. thank you.
Our waiter was very personable and attentive. The food was good, however it is a little overpriced. The festive atmosphere is nice.
Large portions to share. Fun for a group.
Authentic old school Italian with great charm and Home style cuisine. My new fave for Minneapolis..
Dined early at 4.15pm....great service, food seemed better tasting than earlier visits.Fun to visit this quaint original Buca location.
We had a very large group for a birthday celebration, and it was a great choice. We had great food, and the wait staff was able to recommend appropriate dishes to feed everyone with the "family style" format.
We went there early 5:30 so it was not busy. We were celebrating our grandson's birthday.
The food was fine and hot and plentiful. Nothing out of the ordinary was ordered, we were
catering to a child's taste with just Alfredo Linguini and a salad. The waitress did bring
a dish of ice cream as a birthday surprise for our grandson.
We had a fun time!
Was great for our group of 20+.... ranging in age from 10 yrs to 80+ years old. Note there are several steps to get into restaurant which makes it harder for elderly. This Bucca is unlike the standard "chain-style" as it had much more character and authentic feel to it. Some interesting photos on the walls and restrooms that made for great conversation pieces.
We were seated near the kitchen so it was rather noisy and warm. Felt we could have easily expanded our table for more room but they weren't willing to accomodate. Also was very warm/humid outside... and unfortunately inside too.
