Buca di Beppo - Maitland Ratings and Reviews
I have been to Buca’s in another state, it was a frequent go to restaurant for many occasions. I was excited to see one in Florida, but was disappointed after attending for dinner. The restaurant was dirty, my wine glasses were dirty, the food was not even close to the standards I was use to previously.
Sadly, I will not go back.
We eat dinner at this location often.
Their seems to be issues with the kitchen the last 3 times. This dinner took a very long time to get to the table & the chicken parm was overdone. Disappointing, but will try it again. Hope they get it worked out or they are going to lose customers for good.
I would not recommend this place to anyone unfortunately. I belong to a monthly play group and has been our ritual after our Saturday please to go to Buca di Beppo in Maitland. Over the past few months we have seen a decline overall. This past Saturday was the worst yet. All of the dishes on the table were dirty, new dishes that were brought out were still dirty, coffee mugs had old stains going down the side, coffee was lukewarm, there was hair in the Caesar salad, and just an overall bad experience. The management did try to apologize by giving us free appetizers and free dessert but after such a significant screwup at so many levels we were all a bit surprised that we did not have a free meal overall. It literally was one thing after another and we are not an overly picky group but there were dried tomatoes and lettuce stuck to the bottom of the plates And dried food on the front side of plates that were just washed. Very unfortunate because we love this place but I doubt we will be going back anymore after being monthly regulars for the past two years
Was seated took 20 mins to get a server to get us drinks 30 mins for apps to arrive never took our entree order manager had to get it while apologizing for apps being so late when entree arrived 15 mins later was stone cold on the Inside...so finally told manager we had had enough and left Very very disappointed
Luke is great for every day but especially for celebrations with large parties. Meal portions are huge and meant to share with several people offered in small and large plates either way it's a great value. Food is great, service is good with a fun atmosphere
The food was fantastic. A lot more than I could eat at one setting, but great for leftovers. The service couldn't have been any better. That was my second time eating there and I'll be back on the 12th of August for my husbands 70th Birthday. And I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your restaurant to my friends.
Well some food came out burnt and then some cold and we waited almost 50min for food and the food was cold (ravioli). The Server was nice and helped out but not the best performance from this place. I even asked for a special table and they told be no but the table sat empty the whole time.
Jen, our server, was very attentive to all our needs. She was quick to help with replacing one of our entrees that did not taste as well as expected.
The executive chef, John Flaherty, was exceptional. He made us a special dish to make up for the entree (Chicken Marsala) that we had ordered and were not satisfied with. John spent a long time with us to make sure that we were completely satisfied. We will return to this restaurant again, just because of the warm and friendly service we received from the staff and the chef.
Food was great as usual. Very busy as it was Mother's Day so my son's non alcoholic drink was left dry for quite a bit of time. Also took awhile for the food to come out. But again, it was a busy day, we were told that they were running out of things too. We made reservations and got taken right in! Glad we did because people were waiting inside and out.
Our group of 8 went to Buca's to celebrate Mother's Day. We had reservations and did not have to wait for our table. Alyssa was awesome as our server, attentive to our every need. Everything we ordered came out just right and in a timely manner. Definitely an enjoyable celebration all the way around!
We love Buca, but they sat us in the bar area. Yuck! I made reservations in advance and we got to sit in the bar area. We ordered the. Asked rigatoni and some of the pasta was crunchy! Again yuck! Everything else was good. I may have to stop going on special occasions if the food is not up to par.
The food is good, but the prices are high. Restaurant can become quite loud because large parties are easily accommodated. Unfortunately, it often seems that parents of small children think it IS a basement and forget they are at an establishment where others people are also enjoying meals. We were seated in a back room that had a loud, but not overwhelming, atmosphere. One large party left and the noise level dropped substantially. Sadly, before long another large party with out-of-control children was seated in the same place. We had to leave because of the discomfort the children's screaming caused us. This is in no way the restaurant's fault; however, be aware of what to expect.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced for an upscale Italian restaurant. This restaurant is always a favorite for large groups and get togethers. The service was excellent, the selection was wonderful and overall it was a pleasant place to dine. The booths were a little tight and tables just a bit high and there is simply not enough parking.
They serve you family style. The small plates feed about 3 people and run about $19 and up depending on what you get of course. I highly recommend the the apple something salad. Everything we tried was delicious. It is definitely Italian comfort food. It is very cozy inside with old pictures covering every inch of the walls. It is also very cold temperature wise so bring a jacket.
