Gosh, I was here last month and everything was terrific. This visit, not so much. Our waiter was marginal at best. Very slow and mumbled when he spoke. Took forever to have our order placed. Salad was good, but pizza was overcooked. The waiter served our pizza and said, "wow, it's overcooked, do you want another one"? We chose to eat it because we couldn't wait another 45 minutes for a new one. Then, my husband asked for a refill on his iced tea. The waiter brought him just that...a glass of warm iced tea...NO ICE. When he set it on the table he said, "wow, there's no ice in the glass". Really???
Would not revisit. Restaurant was filthy upon arrival. Waited over an hour for our food and chicken was like rubber. Couldn’t cut into some pieces of the chicken. Marinara pasta was a bowl of water. All very disappointing.
I must start with the positive. Both food quality and service were excellent. Hostess staff was friendly. The place was actually very run down. Other than the entertaining pictures all over the walls, it was really a disappointing experience. The walls needed paint, the carpet was in bad shape and the ladies bathroom was just gross. I’m torn on going back again. Maybe a carry out option only.
Great night at Buca. We had to make reservations for 10 at the last minute, and Buca took care of us without any issues. There happened to be another large party, so our food took a while to come out but our server was continually checking on us and apologetic. We will definitely be back!
Service was slow. The pizza was burnt around the edge too much. The bathroom reeked of some awful sewer smell or something and there were no paper towels. I like Buca, but this was a very disappointing meal experience.
Excellent service Arial was great !
Always enjoy the food and every table is little different, so new spot gives a fun adventure to decor.
It is a very good foot for large groups and good menu options sharing family style meals.
The last few times we've been to Buca's, the service and food were lacking. Last night, we actually had the BEST service ever and the food was terrific. Our waiter, Zachary, was outstanding. The food was served timely, hot and the way it's pictured on the menu. BRAVO!
The food was okay and service very good
Great for our big group! Very accommodating. Would recommend
Great experience, awesome service
Great place for larger groups who get along and can share. Food is served family style, so ordering several different things makes for a lot of variety for everyone. We ordered two large entries and one small entree for eight people plus a large apple gorgonzola salad and soft drinks. I think it came out to around $20 per person before tip.
Waitress was super nice but this was the third visit in a row where the kitchen took a very long time and forgot to prepare things we ordered. They are very good about not charging you and giving free food when that occurs but i would rather they improve service so the experience is better.
Food was consistent with a chain -- not bad but not great either. Their claim to fame is family style dining. Considering how poor the service was (we got out appetizer after we had already started our meal among other things), I don't think the novelty or the food itself is worth it.
Food totally not worth the price. Not good.
We went for new years eve....9 people from 11 months to 84 years old. Everyone had a great time and loved the food. We've been going there for years, and have also celebrated many special occasions there.
We dined at Buca de Beppo on New Year's Eve. We had 4 people in our party. Everyone was very happy with the meal and service. Both waitresses who served us were very polite and attentive. The food was delicious. Just a great experience at the restaurant.
I enjoyed the ambience and the people. This was one of the the best experiences I've had in a long time..
Family dinner with 12. Cold food, poor service. Restaurant and restrooms worn out. Would never come back to this location.
The host could not find my name initially and took me to two other peoples tables for me to tell him no not me. The third try he got it right.
The food for the price was disappointing. The pasta had barely any tomato sauce on it and barely any cheese. It was cold and hard. I did not send it back because I was so frustrated as it was Christmas Day and I’m not crazy about sending food back.
The lady waiting tables and the bar was great and attentive. She is the only reason I gave a fair rating or it would have been overall poor.
It was cold as they were having some heat issues. Lasagna was a little over cooked and chicken was lukewarm. The server, however, was awesome. I just think it was off because it was Christmas Day. Might try it again.
Sorry, but this had to be the worst (and most overpriced) Italian food I've ever had. It's sad when the best part of your meal is a $30.00 Antipasto Salad. Fetticini Alfredo that was so dry we had to ask for extra alfredo sauce just to choke it down. Veal Parm. so rubbery that a knife barely cut thru it.
This will definitely be the last time I go to this restaurant.
If the added $$ is supposed to be for their unique atmosphere....save your money.
We had our family Christmas Dinner. The food was good. The service was nice. Thank you.
Everything ended up turning out fairly well. Had a bumpy start; would have been able to tell server, Ariel, was new even without her saying so. Very sweet and no qualms against her, but she could have used some more help or assistance from coworkers since she seemed lost half of the meal. We either waited a long time (40 minutes to order entrees after we sat, 20 or so to get proper sangria service) and we had to repeat ourselves a few times. By the end, however, everyone has full and happy and she was able to finish the meal on a strong note. So despite the service hiccup, it was an enjoyable meal.
Noisy table of kids behind us. Too crowded to move our table. Wait staff was great.
We were the only people in one of the rooms so it was very quiet other than all the employees standing around talking. Too bad they weren’t talking to us more which would have made the service a little better. For being dead we didn’t get much attention.
Food was awesome. Service was very good except it took a long time to get bread in the beginnings bag of our meal. Room we were in was very noisy due to a large group being seated in our room.
Come with an appetite. The food is wonderful and decor is very tastefully done.
Everything was great from the food to the service but the birthday cake they served us wasn’t very good. It didn’t taste fresh or moist at all.
Food was good as usual.
Server was nice but a little off.
Bill was messed up due to computer and not sure our coupon was taken off.
Took the family here for my husbands birthday. It was nice to all sit at one table and eat family style. Everyone had a good time!
Good quality food and nice wine list with some Italian wines.
This place is just ok. It seems like there is always a long wait and the food takes a while, even though they are not completely full. A couple of our dishes had way to much red pepper on them. They have typical Italian dishes like lasagna and such, but this place is closer to TGIFridays than fine Italian dining.
Was a bit too loud for us, we saw other open tables but didn't ask to be moved. Why would they put two women next to three large parties?
Food was good. Service was decent.
Prices have really gone up. Bummer...I still love this place but it's not the same.
We had a group of 10 celebrating a birthday. We ordered a large cheese & pepperoni pizza, large antipasto, large salmon, large spaghetti & meatballs, small veal parmigiana, and large chicken lemonatto. We ordered a bit too much and everyone left with a carry out container. The food was prepared just right and the service was really good for that size group. I would recommend Buca and we'll definitely be back.
The service was very impersonal and indifferent, the restaurant was out of olive oil ( how can an Italian restaurant be out of olive oil?) , and out of lasagna ( again, an Italian restaurant out of lasagna?). The overall food prep and taste was not even close to other Buca restaurants that I've been to.
Family style food. Order what your want for the family.
i've been going to this franchise for years. It will be the last time I go. The food has gone down hill, the prices have increased and the taste/quality leaves this franchise nothing special any longer. Our waiter wasn't very good. Couldn't get any butter for my bread. None to be found.
I had not been to Buca in years, but I had the occasion to host some family that was visiting from another country. They are a very close-knit group and I remembered Buca offered family style eating and I thought that would fit perfectly. I wish I had chosen differently.
1. We were walked through the kitchen, which I am guessing at some point was a point of pride and part of the "show" but now was just a walk through a dirty kitchen as if we were the help. LOL, There was a huge spill of water on the floor that looked as if someone knocked over a bucket and just decided to leave it there. There was some type of solid waste in the water but I pretended not to see it pressed on. . . I should mention I know this wasn't a quick spill and clean up as I was there at least 20 minutes before the rest of my guests and the spill was there the entire time.
2. Our waitress was a sweetheart! She was very kind and accommodating and honestly, her professionalism saved the night.
3. Our pasta was cold, to the point multiple people noticed and said something. As if it had been left out and forgotten on a counter somewhere for a few hours.
4. Our pizza was burnt on the bottom, we had to send it back as it was inedible.
5. The antipasto salad did get rave reviews.
6. I was able to feed 10 ppl with 2 bottles of wine and after dinner drink for about $400
All in all it was almost a disaster, and it was definitely not worth repeating.
