Buca di Beppo - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Our second time at this location and we like it. The service was a bit lacking, drink refills were slow to come and we didn't get as much attention as we would have liked after our appetizers came, but we wouldn't hold that against the restaurant as much as the particular server we had.
This was our second time here and it was SO hot! We went in the summer and it was warm, but this past weekend, it was SO warm in the restaurant. It was uncomfortable. We were ignored by our waitress for much of the evening. We had a four year old with us. He fell asleep in the booth as we waited for our check.
I made a reservation for 9 well in advance and when we all arrived at the restaurant it was completely packed. We had to wait 30 minutes for our table. They had clearly forgotten our reservation because they then jammed our party of 9 into a booth intended for 6. very disappointing.
One of the items we ordered, baked ziti, was never "baked". It was simply pasta mixed lightly with sauce, mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top then ricotta cheese in patches over the top. The pasta was cold, ricotta cheese was cold and it was not good. Our server's reply when we asked for more bread, "Ummmmm.....I guess so." She had no personality and gave us limited attention. We had to ask another friendlier waitress for more napkins and a new fork. It was an $80 meal for four and that was with 20% off. Not worth it at all.
Food quality and taste has deteriorated since the last time we were at Buca. Most of the dishes tasted the same, we ordered way too much food, I wish the waitress would have guided us to make better choice in regards to the amount of dishes we ordered.
The eggplant marinara was the one great dish.
The new dish chicken with prosciutto and lemon was tasteless and very dry. The chicken Marsala was overly sweet. Both the garlic bread and cheese bread tastes a bit like dish soap.
Sorry for the bad review, but we have eaten tastier food at your restaurant and know you can do better.
Well this was the second try for Buca. First time was not great.
Second try was two adults with two kids. Ordered the lasagna and chicken marsala, both small portion which which was supposed to feed 2 to 3 people each.
The lasagna was mediocre in flavor and lukewarm and temperature. The chicken Marcella was returned to the kitchen because the flavor intolerable. It was replaced in short order with a greesy pepperoni pizza.
The service was completed. More personality would have been graciously welcomed.
There will be no chance given for a strike 3.
We are regulars to Buca! We absolutely love the food! On Sunday we had a reservation for 430p and were seated promptly. Unfortunately we were in same dining room as a large group that had children that occasionally had bursts of loud piercing screeching and crying. Our server was awesome and offered to move us to another empty dining room. Even though it was not his area he still served us quickly and kept our drinks filled! Great job Buca accommodating all your customers needs ...you guys never disappoint:)
Good food. They served the food-no plates to serve the food on. Needed to find server to get plates. Ordered a second glass of wine and it was less than half of the first pour. Really light on the sauce. We go to Buca any chance we get. This chance we lost.
the waitress was very nice and prompt, but the cook burned our lasagna. the waitress offered to have the cook make us another one, but we were both hungry and since I am diabetic it was time for me to eat. the waitress asked if her manager had been out to talk to us, but he hadn't. we won't be recommending Bucca to our friends or family.
Dana was great! I took my daughter and 4 friends to dinner here for her 14th Birthday. They all loved it! The food was great, loved the large family style portions. The brownie sundae was the perfect size (xxl) for the 5 girls to share. Thank you for making her birthday dinner, the best one yet!
The food was on par with other restaurants in the chain but the service was lacking. They packed our group of 8 into a room that was already quite crowded. We literally had to move the table to get into our seats because it was so close to the other tables. They did not have any crayons to accompany the children's menu nor did they have the children's drinks on the menu. The waiter was fine but certainly did not create a special experience, just very average. It was not awful, but it could have been better.
The only thing I would change is the noise level (noisy family seated nearby), but I realize that noise can be the price you pay, in exchange for having a great place to go with children. The 6-year-old in our group received crayons and paper, which we all used for amusing ourselves. The Colossal Sundae was a fun dessert for our group of 4, and plenty (we couldn't finish it). For the grownups, a good selection of beer, sangria, wine, etc. The food was tasty, and the server gave us the right amount of attention, even when the room got full of hungry families. When we arrived, 4 police cars were in the parking lot, and officers were taking into custody at least one person outside the restaurant. It had nothing to do with the restaurant, other than that it happened to take place outside. The person who showed us to our table said that that sometimes happens because of activity in the nearby neighborhood. We all felt safe, but were curious. Overall, our group had a memorable, relaxed experience at Buca di Beppo and we look forward to returning for another group occasion. Thank you!
We were sat in a booth at the bar area--our waitress was the bartender--she tried hard but her main job is a BARTENDENDER. She was so busy she could never check up on us--everything was delayed (or didn't come at all). I asked for extra marinara it took 20 minutes by the spaghetti was mostly gone! Not once did someone check up on us--Drink and bread refills were ignored for the most part. It put a damper on our graduation celebration for our son. I wouldn't blame the bartender because she sis the best she could. I think it was managements fault for making her bartend and waitress at the same time.
Great find! Dinner reservations were made for 4:00 after a Las Vegas wedding. The party of 16 arrived, and they had us seated almost immediately. Our waiter was amazing, the food was excellent, and the house wine was awesome too. The staff even put the wedding cake in the fridge so we could enjoy it after the meal was finished. The bill was very reasonable considering the great food, service, and 16 people left full and happy. Thanks for a great experience!!
We love Buca. We are close to the one in Kansas City so when we found out there were two in Las Vegas we quickly booked! We went to this one off the strip and it was wonderful. Again, portions are family style and prices reflect that. Chicken parmigiana was cooked perfectly. We had a coupon through our email and they honored it without question. We had plenty of leftovers and ate them a couple of days later. My kids love the bread and butter in the beginning of the meal and that ties them over until the meal arrives. This Buca had outstanding service and we would recommend it to a large party who wants to be off the strip for awhile.
Our two families met for the first time earlier in the day, and we knew this was the informal, family style dining experience we all wanted for a really great get together! The food was delicious, and there was a great selection. The service was excellent, and there was enough quiet for laughing and conversation.
I'm not sure how these restaurants keeping going - it can't be from repeat business. I arrived to a nearly empty restaurant that had no hostess. Food was delivered promptly and was warm but there was very little taste and the price for what we got was outrageous even with a coupon. The wine selection for less than $10 a glass was very limited and they all tasted musty - I asked to taste before ordering. Not a happy place, not a happy price, not a happy value, not a happy customer. Would not recommend for any reason unless the last place on earth to get food. Must be a money making concept!
This time we started with the calamari which was excellent. And again, the antipasti salad was amazing. We could have stopped there since we also enjoyed the warm bread with olive oil & balsamic along with a glass of Chianti, but no! We had chicken Parmesan as well as the baked ziti with ricotta cheese. I don't have enough words to describe how good they (and the leftovers) were.
This is the first time I go with the famliy for dinner, food was really good, great posrtion size for their "L" dishes. Services was good but I wish it faster, the place was not that busy but still the food took too long to get to the table. We'll still come back because the food is great.
