Service and good was great.
Kyle was a great server! On time, friendly, didn’t have us wait to long. Perfect for a Saturday night dinner!
Food is always good. Our server was great, thank you. If your looking for a place to dine and want quiet conversation look elsewhere. Can get very loud at times.
Food was below average but we had a good time.
Food is really pretty rough. Marinara, meatballs, bread were good. The chicken saltimbocca and trio platter were just not good.
We had the “Pope” table for a birthday party of 16. They handled the group extremely well.
Booking advised....service very slow with predictable food. Quality...disappointing.
Good food and nice servers, but it would be nice if they check when a table is booked through Open Table and read what the special requests are. The last 3 times I've been there, they try to seat me at a table when I specified in my profile that I prefer booths only.
Server was excellent! Food was very good
Server was very mediocre, the food was very mediocre. The bread wasn't fresh, the pizza was dripping with grease.
I was embarrassed since we were entertaining out of town guests. We won't return.
Always festive and fun! Lots of food to share! Great for celebrations and such a fun atmosphere u
It was a great experience!
Double date with friends, it was their first time but our second time, food was delicious and service was awesome. Walk away as 4 happy customers.
My friend asked to take me out to lunch for my birthday. I selected Buca because of the location and we both enjoy Italian cuisine. We sat in a spacious booth in the bar area. Dana was our waiter and he was great! Very entertaining and fun. There were several tables with regulars. Dana made sure to tell everyone that came in that it was my birthday. They would then wish me a happy birthday. He was had 8 tables with help from Terrence. The service, food and atmosphere were perfect for a fun experience. I had the eggplant parm with pasta - lunch portion was more than I could eat. My friend had the Shrimp Fra Diablo. It was a generous portion and loaded with shrimp.
The food was great, the service was lacking. The host was annoyed by all the customers and would not look anyone in the eye. Dirty blond kid, slim, didn’t get his name. The service was fast at first, but the server did not show up until the end of our dinner. We wanted a second drink, but we had to ask another Sever to call ours. She showed up 15 minutes later, but only tried to upsell the photo package. By the way, please wait until people are done eating before you ask them to move around for a photo shoot. We asked for our check and moved on. Would not go back.
Took my girls to a nice Valentine’s Day meal.
The restaurant was busy, but had a nice pace. The employees were busy but not hectic, it gave the place a nice vibe, not stressful at all.
Our server Tina was fantastic. 5-stars for sure. She was running so fast I don’t think her heels hit the floor once haha. The food was awesome and the portions were perfect. The dessert cannolis are great, can’t get enough.
The only bad part is the Parking situation at this location, it’s spotty at best. The restaurant shares a lot with several business and a doctors office of some sort. Took me about 20 minutes to finally find a spot.
Overall this one gets a 99.99 out of 100
Had reservation at 6:15pm. The host either never checked us in or lost our seat ticket. Finally were seated at 6:40pm and the table had pieces of food from the previous diners. Asked for the manager and explained our bad experience. He offered us a free appetizer (declined the offer) and promised to return to check on us. Ordered two entrees. The first arrived a short time later but we had neither silverware or napkins. Waited a couple of minutes until we finally were able to ask a busboy for some. The second entree arrived more than twenty minutes after the first. We finished our dinner and paid the check. Never saw the manager (Alex) again. One of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had.
It was fettuccine so got it for 50% off and added chicken which was great. However, they’ve changed their bread. Like other bread much better.
Crowded. Loud. Busy. Loud.
Our waitress was way too much. Everything was “”honey, dear, sweetheart, sweetie...”. Not to mention a 5 minute dissertation about how it wasn’t her fault every time a question was asked. My husband asked me at one point, “didn’t you ask for lemons?” And my response was that I’d do without so I didn’t have to hear her rant. Not our first time with this waitress. Also, zero options for smaller groups. They used to have at least an individual side salad but not anymore. Their “small” is just going to go to waste if 2 adults and 2 kids want salad before their meal. Silly expensive for middle of the road Italian food.
If you’re having a large loud group or party go to Bucca if not I’d make different plans.
We went to celebrate our son's 25th birthday his choice was Buca di Beppo and we had a great time. Our service was wonderful he was very attentive kept us posted as to win our meal was going to arrive food was excellent the birthday song was amazing
I loved it spending time with friends
Some people love high-capacity restaurants with frenetic atmospheres, lots of big tables, and huge servings. I'm not one of those people, so my ratings reflect my perspective. If you don't mind quantity over quality of food, kids running around and screaming, and various other paths to over-stimulation, this may be a place for you. If you or others in your party have dietary restrictions (e.g., vegan, gluten-free), you won't find much joy in the menu. The servers are very friendly and food is served quickly.
Very, very loud. Good food, but don't expect to have any conversation with friend across the table without raising your voice and asking for things said to be repeated three times.
We celebrated my husband's birthday. My 2 granddaughters had a great time with my mother-in-law and husband. The pasta and salad were fresh and tasted very good. Would definitely come back.
Thanksgiving Dinner at Buca di Beppo Huntington Beach was great! Good food except the green beans should be cooked a bit longer as they were too hard and raw. Service was excellent! A bit noisy atmosphere but ok. Air conditioning was a bit freezing but I would take that over being too warm. I think it was not bad later on after we mentioned it. Overall, good place to have an easy Thanksgiving meal without the hassle of cleanup afterwards.
It took 45 minutes to get food.
I ordered 1 glass of wine, which never arrived.
Service was great!
The waiter was great as one member of our group had food allergies and he went out of his way to assist the person in selecting a meal.
Eventhought we had an open table reservation we still had to wait about 20 min and the reseption person was not friendly. Service was ok because they didn't have enough wait staff so our waiter was from the bar and didn't get a part of our order correct so we had to wait for some of our meal to come back from the kitchen. Our bill was also incorrect because they charged us for two meals because of their mistake so we had to wait until they corrected the bill. No management staff ever came over to apoligez or offer us anything for the mistakes.
Had a great birthday celebration for my daughter
My quarterly trip to Huntington Beach, there is always a reservation at Buca de Beppo for the antipasto salad and florentine cheese bread! This time there was a spicier salami in the salad which gave it a great 'bite'...the florentine cheese bread is out of this world!
Service was good, always request seats in the bar!
Had a great experience with the family. Great food and value.
We arrived about 30 minutes early on a Saturday night with reservations. We went into the bar because it was crowded in the waiting area. There were a lot of people complaining about the wait. We were seated upstairs at our reservation time. We noticed there was only one other table occupied the entire dinner. The staff seemed disorganized. The dinner was good. We ordered a salad and chicken. The dinner was good however I could make it at home. Nothing special.
We were a group of 15 and had a great dinner here. Four families were celebrating our kids leaving for college. The atmosphere was really fun. We ordered a big variety of things and because it was family style, there was something for everyone. I highly recommend this restaurant for special celebrations. It is an especially great place for large groups.
The food was just OK and the service was below expectations. We had to ask for a manager since we didn't get the help necessary to sufficiently place our order. The manager was very nice and pretty much took over. We were looking forward to having tiramisu for dessert and were told that the chef was just starting to make it, and that it would take 2 hours to finish. We settled for cheesecake which wasn't even a close second to tiramisu.
Good food and service. A lot of noise because of group parties but it's ok with me. Good place for sharing
Tina was fantastic. busy but personable! she seemed to be the only server that was hustling and bustling. she made our late father's day celebration (3 dads we were celebrating at the time)!
we went here for a graduation celebration. This is a good place for large groups, we had 12. Food is very good and this is a fun place to eat.
We like the restaurant chain Buca di Peppo but this location is hit and miss. Service can good or really bad. The appetizers were good but the calamari was barely cooked, the breading was lukewarm so I suspect the cook was rushing it out. The entrees were on the DRY side if you can believe it. How can Italian food be lacking on the sauce?! My pasta shells were dry and hard on the top half because of lack of marinara sauce.
