It was my husbands birthday and we had a good time especially with a large party.
Worst experience yet. I completely dislike some of the recent changes made to food. The new bread they serve is awful. We loved the old soft thin sliced Italian bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We asked got balsamic vinegar and someone brought us a bottle and told us we couldn't keep it at the table because it was the ONLY bottle for the ENTIRE restaurant. That's just ridiculous!! The rest of the food was sub par. Seems like prices have gone up while portions have gotten smaller. We used to love this place, we have a family of 8 and used to celebrate almost every birthday here for everyone in our family, and anniversary, and of course, the occasional "don't feel like cooking, let's go to Buca"... but this is definitely the last visit. It was sad, but I guess good things don't last forever. It's to bad they tried to reinvent the wheel, completely unnecessary and totally messed up the experience that we used to go for, not to mention the terrible service from the wait staff and the hostess staff.
Always consistent food - very good food. We dine at Buca once or twice a month on average.
Calamari, salad and pizza were excellent.
The chicken parm was tough.
Alfredo was dry and could have used more sauce.
Service was very good.
Great food at an unbelievable pricr
I use to love coming here but I was not impressed the last time I was here. Everything was good but not excellent. They are always crowded, so it is great I was able to make a reservation using the open table app. However, it is a little strange that when I walked into the place and asked to be seated they said it would be a 30 minute wait. I went to the bar to wait and someone told me to use the open table app to make a reservation and got a table right away. I will remember to use the app from now on. The only problem I have is that they don't offer more individual dishes. Most dishes are offered as Small which feeds 2-3 and Large which feeds 5-6 people. I don't bring home leftovers so it is a waste of money if the other guest I am with does not want any and I am not able to eat it all. They do have coupons available that they email you which makes their prices reasonable and that is why I was there.
Brandon was our server & bartender. He was alone in the area & quite busy, so a nice gentleman(manager maybe?) helped out & took our order & delivered the food. Brandon was able to visit our table later & bring dessert. All said, a very nice lunch
Food was very good. Service not so much. Brandi our server was sour from the beginning and couldn't have smiled of she had to. Really acted like she didn't want to be there. Service was perfunctory and nothing more. A little disappointing.
Nice place with a lot of history. Good selection of many different types of food. Great place for 2 or more folks to share selections
Food was horrible and very dirty place . I would never go back
Way too noisy, and the lasagna lacked flavor. The portion sizes were good, but that didn't make up for the lackluster lasagna.
Food was very good as usual. Our Waitress needed to lighten up and be friendly. She was coughing but being unfriendly and slow to refill drinks and even pay attention to us was not right.
This is a consistent place with very good food but much better if you join the website and get coupons. Otherwise it can be pricey for pasta.
Perfect for pre marathon dinner! Lovely festive ambience but could still hear each other. Dod was excellent. Especially bruschetta, shells, and house salad
We arrived at 930pm and were told there was a 45 min wait. I saw on open table they had an open reservation for 945 so I booked it. We were then seated in a closed section with no server. We waited for 15 mins while 2 staff members prepped the other tables in the section for the next day. We got the attention of a server to alert them that we had not even had our drink orders taken. The server who ended up being assigned to our table was polite enough but it was obvious we were not a priority and he repeatedly brought 9 plates for our party of 10. I guess we were being punished for using open table to avoid a 45 minute wait when there was no one else waiting and plenty of open tables.
Friendly wait staff.
Since it was Christmas day it was SUPER packed. Which meant a long wait, which I am ok with. What was not Ok was the guy that was greeting people as they walked in. I walked to the hostess stand and he just said "Yes" not "hello", not "how can I help you", just "yes" which is rude. No smile on his face either. I understand it was busy but that doesn't excuse a bad attitude.
Our Waitress was kind, and as attentive as she could be. The fettuccini alfredo was lacking but it was still an ok dinner, considering. I would return to the restaurant, but it would not be my first choice.
The place was packed; it was Christmas day after all:). We arrived and were seated within 15 minutes. I felt a little bad for others who were waiting 45 minutes and didn't have a reservation. I heard at least 5 different people complained to the host about taking too long to be seated. The host was in a bad mood; but he wasn't nasty to customers complaining about time and the bartender. Our waiter, Ronnie, did an excellent job. He was in a good mood and very courteous with his share of tables. I'm glad I used open table!
Very crowded on Christmas day as expected. Food and service were good but
the calamari which is usually crisp and crunchy came to the table rubbery.
Bar drinks took a very long time to arrive. We overheard from another table, the
restaurant ran out of a certain beer. No excuse on a holiday. I would fire the bar manager.
Great food and service during Thanksgiving! Took my family here for the holiday dinner and we had a great time. There were 10 of us total. Perfect for large groups!
Great always good food
Service was terrible, I️ paid a premium for sub quality experience. I️ couldn’t get a real napkin, just a paper napkin. I️ can seriously spend half of that and get a better experience at maggianos
Food was over cooked, but we didn’t complain because the service was prompt.
Enjoyed eating lunch much more than large family style dishes. Each order what they want. Garlic bread was expensive for amount received. I felt garlic bread should be comp. At least first serving. Maybe charge for second or third servings.
Always a great meal and always great service! Recommend this place to everyone.
I hope they fix their food, being such a old Italian restaurant they need to work on the their chefs.
Great food great service great atmosphere will be back again soon. Always a great experience and never leave hungry.
Didn't see our waiter often enough and the restaurant was freezing, on the plus side food was delicious and there was plenty on the menu to order for a gluten free dinner
Not good, not good at all.
The food was excellent as always. The service was terrific. Buca is a perfect place to meet family or friends for a fun evening.
Pleasantly surprised. Good food, ample quantity, good value for the money, fun décor. Waiter was a little slow, but friendly enough.
Good for special occasions but don't expect to save money there since everything is a la cart and served in larger portions.
Amazing service and great venue. Highly recomended
I selected Buca di Beppo as a location for my family to meet and fellowship on a Sunday afternoon. It was absolutely fantastic. Buca di Beppo was graciously able to accommodate my family group, which grew from 10, then 20 and finally 32. Several days later, I am still receiving calls from family and friends sharing that it was a great time, great ambiance and great food. They are posting photos on Facebook and saying that they will be back. More importantly, they are sharing that the venue and food made our family gathering very special. The added bonus was Buca di Beppo providing a photographer for capturing the special occasion. Thank you, Buca di Beppo.
We always have a good time at buca but this time we sat in the small room to the side and it was pretty warm back there, other than that nice service and good food.
It was our first time here. We had a great time and the food was incredible'
Buca di Beppo is always very tasty Italian-American food, It is a great value. And wonderful for a casual meal. The service is very good.
Another great get together with friends - the food, the service, and the atmosphere was perfect.
As always great family style dining with great friends. The food, atmosphere, and restaurant were great!
Just average. Host was new and floundered around the restaurant trying to find a table for our party of 8. It was a Sunday dinner and not crowded at all, but that appeared to be the problem. The restaurant was not fully staffed as it would be on a Friday or Saturday night, and the team seemed to have a difficult time of finding a suitable location to place our larger party as they did not have servers for the rooms that accommodated larger parties. Initially the host wanted to seat part of us at a booth and two of our party at a separate table. We scratched our head on that one. Service was inconsistent and we had to ask for water refills, however those drinking alcohol at the table did not have to ask for refills. Hmm. Food also did not come out of the kitchen evenly, and while half the table had their plates full, several others were left with empty plates while we waited for additional platters to be served. Definitely an off visit for us at Buca which we've been to many times over.
