Prom with our 18 year olds. So happy they invited all of us to dinner
Kitchen was really slow on a night that was not very busy. Waiter was new and did not seem to understand his role in ensuring tables received anything other than initial food delivery.
Its was our first time ever to this restaurant. It was ok
Not as good as I remember. Everything was a little off. We had to order more sauce for a chicken entree. It wasn't horrible, but I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing.
Very out of date decor. Food was fine, nothing i couldn't make myself from home.
We were seated and immediately told by our server that he had a bigger party in another room so things might be slow for us. We ordered drinks and asked for sweetener for the tea and he never brought it, drink refills were very slow. Our meal came out and we asked for additional sauce, never received it and he only came back to drop off the check. I realize there was a bigger party but that shouldn’t impact my service. Overall not a great experience.
The restaurant was stinky, especially the ladies room. The service was poor. Our food was sat on the furtherest corner of the table from us. We literally had to stand up to reach it.
One of our favorite spots. Highly recommended.
We had another good dinner at Buca in Frisco. Every room there is different and we enjoy looking at all the photos and artwork while we wait. Their chicken parmesan is amazing and the portions are huge. We also ordered the chicken limon and it is good too. Service was a bit slow and they were not crowded since we ate early.
Been coming to this place for over a decade. Never disappoints.
we have a large family so Bucca is many times our go to place! barring our experience at Christmas Eve which was horrible due to one crazy rude server ... this time for my Birthday with a group of 23 ... they were on point! Our server Marshall was the best ... never missed a bit with our very large group.
We had 10 plus a baby/stroller in our group. The place we were seated was extremely tight and in the way of an emergency exit. Once the manager was involved, we were moved to a much less crowded spot. From that point on, our evening was wonderful! The food was excellent and the service was fantastic.
Very noisy environment. The waitress dropped soft drinks on us and all over my brand new Dooney and Bourke Bag... I was not a happy camper. The food was okay but not worth the price. The least the waitress could have done was to comp the drinks... honestly not a good experience... we will stick with local Italian restaurants in the future . Disappointing....
Didn’t like the plate sharing concept. Otherwise was very good.
We ordered the spicy chicken rigatoni and a pizza. There were 3 of us and we ordered 2 larges--should've ordered 2 smalls. Plenty of food arrived & we still have leftovers 2 days later. The food was delicious. I think it was a bit on the higher price range, but it is a fun place to go if you're willing to share food. The server was friendly and the place was clean. Playful, slightly noisy atmosphere.
Absolutely Horrible service!!!! Also, very filthy, dirty plates everywhere, etc.
Let me start with the good, the food was excellent and now for the bad I booked a table for the 5 of us at 7:30 we arrived at 7:20 and were not seated until 7:58, that was a bad start to our New Year's Eve dinner and on top of that our server did not want to be at work on NYE and you could tell by her poor attitude and below average service. But we did not let the previously mentioned issues spoil our dinner which again the food was great!
Food was very good, great service. Excellent experience!
This place is yummy. Huge portions and fabulous service make it a family fave. Highly recommend for family get togethers and large parties.
First time at this restaurant for a birthday celebration. Loved the place, the food and the staff.
Great place for a family of any size!
Great service and food. Great experience on Christmas night, which could have been Terrible! Holiday service is typically very lax
Great server Jacob took care of us. Even with the Christmas crowd rush, the food and service was consistent with every other visit. There was a couple of items not available, Jacob was very good and explaining why and it didn’t disappoint us.
Surprisingly good food. Family style. Poor wait staff who had to work on Christmas, but they were great.
Christmas dinner
We came to Buca for Christmas Day lunch. We were seated in the bar area at a table for 7. Our server was very kind and attentive. When the plates were brought to our table for each person, two of the plates needed to be replaced as there was food on them and our server replaced them quickly. The food was decent (minus the one dish that we ordered, but that was never delivered to our table). We were highly dissatisfied wIth the environment. We were seated in the bar area at a table for our group of 7. However, the bar was completely full and some sort of “bar games” were happening. Dining with our family, including 2 young children, was not a nice experience when other patrons were yelling at the bar, the cheering for people to drink and using language that was absolutely not suitable for a family dining experience. I believe we will look for a different place to celebrate with our family next time.
Christmas Day. Food was ok. Spaghetti was fair. I found it chewy. Lasagna good. Chicken Parmigiana good. Service delightful. A little pricey for the quality.
Very disappointed. We had a reservation for 8 for Christmas Eve. When we arrived we were told they were running 35 minutes behind for reservations. The lobby and bar was full of upset patrons. We were not seated until 1 hour after our reservation time. In my opinion, they should have stopped taking walk ins until they were caught up on reservations. While I realize holidays are tough to estimate they were not empathetic to guests about messing up their holiday plans, did not offer an appetizer or anything to compensate. In fact, I never saw a manager. Just a bunch of young adults who seemed frazzled. Our waitress was good and the food was ok. Will not return.
Made reservation for Christmas Eve, but restaurant was running a half hour behind in seating people for their reservations. They did send a text but we were already on our way. Very crowded and little place to sit while we waited. Once seated, food was slow coming. Nearly finished our first entree before the second one came. Food was good, waitress was fine. Recommend going someplace else on a holiday.
Christmas Eve dinner
Reservation for 5. Had a 6th with us, but they put us in a booth that was comfortable for 4. Asst. Mgr. was amicable and put us at a table, that the host said we couldn't have, because it was 'reserved'. (Saw they put another group of 5 adults in a booth right behind us, that were kind of tight on one side as well!). Poor seating management.
Food was good and we love the family style but service was terrible. Had to wait forever on food and waiter was slow to refill glasses. He forgot our garlic bread order, brought the wrong size pizza and we barely had enough food because he talked us into ordering less than our original plan. We have never had such poor service before. He even brought us the check with our desserts.
The margarita was icy and not that great. Told the waiter and he just said ok hmmm
This is some of the best bolognese sauce I’ve ever had! The chopped antipasto salad was amazing also! The different rooms, wait staff and food make this a great dining experience!
Seated in empty section of restaurant, after waiting for 10 minutes with no service we asked to be moved, we were ensured we wouldn't be forgotten and could stay in current section. Appetizer we ordered was half correct, salad came out 30 seconds prior to main meal, drink orders were completely forgotten at this point, only one of the entrees was incorrect, out of four. We are one hour and thirty minutes in now, as we wait for our check and ensure what we ordered and didn't receive was not on check. 1 hour and 45 minutes in now. At this point, just ready to leave and not pay. After 2 hours, I hope no one is expecting a tip for this level of service. Perhaps a refund should come my way. Worst service of any restaurant I have been to in a looooong time.
We've been to many Buca's around the country, had pretty good experiences when we lived in Los Angeles. The one in Charlotte NC was a nightmare, never had a good experience there. We thought, "hey let's give the one in Frisco a try"... The food and serve were much better here, thankfully. We were lucky enough to get to sit at the Chef's table. One of the pasta dishes was delicious but spicier that I remembered from the past, and the frutti di mare was good but the linguine wasn't especially flavorful, but the rest of the food was pretty good. We tried a meatball appetizer, three main dishes, a pizza and dessert. We'd go back.
Went with family for my birthday. Wonderful Italian food, shared spaghetti with meatballs, baked ziti and Chicken Masala. Big helpings and just an overall fun place with great food and drink. One pound meatballs is a must.
Fun as always. Finally tried the pizza - it was very good.
Great food, every time! Bring a sweater, though. It was very cold.
Awesome food and great service. Portions were huge
