Buca di Beppo - Fort Union Ratings and Reviews
This is the second year in a row having Thanksgiving Dinner at Buca di Beppo . We were seated at noon just like planned and shortly after we had our drinks along with bread and Italian oil for dipping. Again, we chose the Turkey Dinner for 3 so we had some extra to enjoy at home. Being only the two of us it is much easier to go out for dinner and the food was cooked to perfection just like a home meal. Our waitress took good care of us and checked on our table often. Will go again next year.
We also like to go for lunch and have some of their yummy chicken parmesan. (The best around!)
My sisters, mother, and I went on mothers day for lunch with just us girls, the food was great, the service was stellar, and we all had leftovers to take home and not cooking was what they all wanted haha. I am really happy we went. We all had a great meal and time.
Food was delicious, and the atmosphere makes for a fun time. Only complaint is the $15 corkage fee for wine. I brought in 2 bottles for our group, and only opened one. Most other restaurants charge $5-$10. Sadly, that is a consideration that I will make when deciding to return.
My wife brought me here for my birthday. We hadn't been to this restaurant for a while and were both craving it.
- Our waiter was exceptional
- We went with his recommended combo on the menu for 4 people, and he nailed it - absolutely delicious.
- This is not a "cheap" place to eat, but I feel the value is there because of the quality if ingredients used and the authenticity of the food, and the fantastic service.
- The decor is very fun and unique, with fantastic vintage pictures and nostalgic items hanging everywhere.
- A great place to take a date
Will definitely return.
This year's Valentine's Package of the heart shaped lasagna was not very good at all & certainly NOT worth 50 dollars. The lasagna edges were very burnt & it was very dry & just not good at all. We were very sorry we chose to come here for Valentine's Day meal. Last year's was good but not this year. We won't come here for this special again.
Food was excellent. I rated service lower because our server, when we ordered a bottle of wine, didn't tell us that we couldn't order it because there weren't 4 people drinking at the table, he instead just brought us 2 glasses, then when we questioned him, he explained why. Why not be up front?! It was weird. Otherwise, no issues.
This is not the restaurant to save a dollar. While you might believe that family style ordering and dining is a way to save, even ordering the small plates ordering 3 entrees, a couple salads a bread item for 5 adults and 2 kids (including an infant) still set me back well over $200, including tip. And that is for average food, not special food. Good, attentive service, moderate noise levels, even on Mother's Day, but just not worth the money. The Mom wanted to go there, so we went.
The food is excellent and very large quantities. No reason to go home hungry. Our waiter was good but even after reminding him we were celebrating a birthday, he completely forgot. No cake nothing per our coupon. Oh well we didn't have room. Would have liked to take it home.
Had a reservation for New Years Eve. Restaurant was almost empty, but service was slow. Waited 40 minutes and finally learned food was given to wrong table. Bus boys were arguing while cleaning around me also saying how much they hate their job. Then argue with another employee about their job duties. Everyone seemed fine to allow us to hear their loud issues. Food finally came and waiter said we should be honored that the chef brought it out to us, I would have preferred it on time. We just packed food and left. Had to ask 3 people for a bag, and finally the waiter that helped was visibly annoyed to be distracted from flirting with fellow server to help us. Kind of ruined the night.
It's a fun experience to enter and explore this restaurant - I actually got lost walking my child around and couldn't find my table, because there are so many small and medium sized separate rooms. It gives the restaurant a small neighborhood feel, while in fact it is huge. Big parties are a specialty here. We enjoyed our meal here! The atmosphere was festive and pleasant (I was there new years eve 2016). The gorgonzola salad and mashed potatoes were very good. However, the potatoes were not served hot, however, and had to go back. Our biggest complaint was the chicken with lemon and capers - it was not cooked enough to our liking. This is a restaurant that handles a lot of people and needs to sweat the details more if it's going to get better ratings from this diner.
We've been here before and we're really going with it being Thanksgiving that it would be better but no. The salad was soggy and limp. The entrée was OK but nothing to brag about. It was fine for kids and there were plenty of then around. Try somewhere else and save yourself some disappointment.
This restaurant needs a facelift! While the food was decent and the service fairly good, the decor was awful. I took a photo of my husband with a large mural in the background of several women in what looks like a spaghetti eating contest. I think Chef Ramsey would have a field day with this establishment. It was my first time there, and I'm not sure I'll return. Another note, the waiter returned to a nearby table to notify the group that their credit card was denied. Bad customer service! He could have handled it with discretion & better judgement. I felt bad for that party. They were celebrating a birthday.
We were celebrating my mother's 72nd birthday. We had 13 including 8 adults and 5 kids. We were promptly seated and everything came out reasonably quick and it was delicious. Our server was awesome and didn't push any extra food on us as has happened in the past. We order just right and had minimal leftovers. We were never rushed and had a nice experience!
Normally we love this Buca's location and decided to have a family celebration for our son's 12th birthday celebration. I made reservations 3-4 weeks in advance looking forward to a great family experience, it was not as wonderful as it should have been. The restaurant put a party of 15 in a room with no air conditioning, our party was not as isolated as I would have hoped for considering the amount of notice, the waiter did not get our entrée plates to us as our entrées were brought in, in fact didn't even bother with us, (luckily a server station was near us and we were able to get our own), some,of us had to wait 15 minutes for a plate - meaning me - and when reminding our server, was waived to the stack he just put in the server station. When ready to box up leftovers the server just set everything on the table and said, "I'll let you take care if that", and then I felt as though were were being rushed through the birthday cake, (ordered through the restaurant and cake was frozen still). I do believe we had a mixed green salad comped, but cannot be sure as the server didn't explain the credit on the receipt. The food was delicious, as usual, but, the uncomfortable heat, and the HORRIBLE service really set a negative tone on what was supposed to be a fun experience.
