We went to celebrate my daughter’s 23rd birthday and she picked this place. I noted on the reservation to make a big deal about her birthday and they did just that. We ordered the caprese salad to start. We were a party of four. All apps and dinners were listed as for three people or five people. We opted for the five. The mozzarella was fresh as was the basil and tomatoes. Lightly coated in salt, pepper and olive oil. It should have come with a balsamic drizzle. We ordered chicken Parmesan for five. My family loved it although I did not think it was that terrific. We had a monster sundae for dessert which was delicious.
Thank you for choosing Buca di Beppo to celebrate such a special occasion! We appreciate you sharing your experience with us and hope you visit us again soon!
Thank you for dining with us at Buca di Beppo. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Evywas great until we got our checks. We should have been asked (or told server) how to split the bill as there were 7 of us. So partly our fault. The bill has to be redone 5 times to get it right.
Long wait on food, waitress disappeared for long stretches. We ask for help from others but it seemed people working there didn’t want to be there
We apologize for the longer than expected wait time. The management team has been made aware of your comments for improvement in our service and expediency.
The server was extremely unfriendly! Basically, no service unless you requested help. The food had no flavor, as if they ran out of salt or seasonings. Will never be back to that location!
We spent over $200 for a terrible experience.
Food was raw and cold. Very disappointed the quality of the food has been getting worse and worse every time we visit.
Service very slow. The waiter placed bread on our table 40 mins after we were seated, food came a good 20 mins after that. We weren't in a hurry and fortunately, mom is patient.
Awesome experienced. We had a group of 13 and our waitress was amazing. She didn't miss a bit. Never rushed and very personable
The check-in process was very unprofessional!!...I arrived 15 minutes before my reservation time, and I was seated almost 30 minutes after my reservation time!!!
Great time great prices and food.
Anna was an outstanding server.
Great place for a large group to talk, eat & share life together.
Food is always good at Buca's. We have been to Davie, Florida, Orlando, Florida, Atlantic City, NJ and one just outside of Atlanta, GA. The food is high quality Italian and always very delicious!! I would recommend it to a family. If there is only two people, go with the "small" portions.
Buca is great for large families or really hungry people. The portion sizes or enormous. The food is very good and authentically made. The service was just ok. It may be because it was Easter Sunday or because we were a party of 15 but the server kept forgeting to check on us and he didnt bring the bread out in time. When he did, he brought a plate of 3 small loafs for 15 people. He forgot some of our appetizer items. Other than that our experience was great.
Our server, Marty, was awesome!! Food was awesome too!!
I typically have a great experience, but this time it took forever for water and we had to ask 3 times. The adult beverage were watered down and just tasted ordinary. The apple and Gorgonzola salad was good but too much dressing and it got soggy fast.
Marty and Anna did a great job. We will be back again.
We dined at the kitchen table on Saturday evening, they seemed unusually busy which is just fine because we have dined at the two Buca’s in Orlando for many years when they are busy and have always had consistent service. The service this time was unusually thin. I believe we may have had a person that typically runs food, rather than a server. That for us is not a big deal, until we received an appetizer of calamari that had steel wool deep-fried into it. When we brought it up to our server she looked at it put it on a plate and immediately turned around to whom I presume was the manager (Who had been in the kitchen the entire time we were there and not said one word to us prior to this) Who just turned around to our table, said a quick apology and that the calamari would be comped. He then moved away to work the pass without even offering to replace our appetizer as it just sat there. I have to say this is the first time we’ve not had great service and felt completely dismissed by the staff. Not even a warm welcome or thank you was given. Definitely a low when it comes to this location that we have dined out for years.
If you are not too embarrassed to enter this tacky restaurant, which they declare themselves as “delightfully tacky”, you will have entered my husband’s favorite place for fried calamari outside of Italy.
Step back to the 1970’s in New York City or 1960’s southern Italy. I asked my husband during this last visit if Italy was actually ever this tacky and he confirmed it was. OK, not the places we go now. My mother visited Italy in the 1960’s and while we have never taken her to Buca, I have shared pictures and she says it looks like what she saw in Sicily. But of course this is a restaurant and what really matters is food first and service second.
During this last visit, we just ordered the large fried calamari appetizer. It is supposed to be for 5 people but that was all we had for lunch. This was the best we have ever had in this restaurant or just about anywhere. These were not your basic rubber bands, over battered, over fried and over salted. These were the tender version. The difference - most likely they were defrosted properly. Seriously, that is what makes all the difference in the world.
We asked our server, Ed, to get us a manager. Of course Ed immediately tried to make everything right for us ahead of getting himself emasculated by his boss. We were not going for it. The MOD (manager on duty for all of you not schooled in the lingo yet) was called. Walter greeted us professionally and looked a bit contrite. We told him whoever was in the kitchen for this particular service needed to be congratulated. Ahh, that look of relief. I guess managers are not used to getting called to tables because everything is great.
Overall, we have been satisfied with this chain, sometimes more satisfied than other times. My big complaint is the insulting prices they charge for a dish of pasta. They don’t use fresh pasta and at over $27 for pasta with a basic (good but not exceptional) is kind of insulting to me. Okay, it is a really big bowl but still.
Had a great meal again tonight. Consistently good! Marty our server was very attentive! Great job!
We went there so we go to the Cirque show Luzia. We were able to order fast and get in and out in time.
The booth seats were uncomfortable. Apart from that everything was great.
Don’t bother – they won’t. Had reservations for four for 7:15 pm on a Sunday night for my daughter’s birthday. I confirmed through Open Table a few days prior to the reservation. I called a few minutes prior to our arrival to ensure we had a table. Hostess recognized the name/reservation and said “great, see you in a minute”. When we arrived, the hostess had no idea who we were and sat us in the bar. We ordered drinks, a small stuffed shells, a small pizza and garlic bread. After 30 minutes and no sign of food, we asked the waitress if we could have the garlic bread. She said “it’s still frozen”. We said "forget the garlic bread". Later she brought the small stuffed shells and the cold garlic bread, told us the oven blew up and there would be no pizza. No offer to take another order, no apology, did not inquire if we wanted desert, nothing. We never saw the waitress again. Some other waiter dropped off the bill.
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. They were rude and the food was something from the grocery store freezer section. Don’t bother….
Our server, Marty, made a regular day out a great day out with his suggestions and overall wonderful disposition. I’ll definitely return
Wonderful staff and delicious food!!! Thank you for being a part of my daughter’s 18th birthday!
Over price compared with another restaurants.
The food is always spot on. Service as well . Our server, Arika, was so nice and friendly!
Had a sangria before dinner. Very good. Bread bought out first. Nice and warm and fresh. Dinner was served at the appropriate time. Server was great and food was delicious. Had a very good meal.
The calamari, my favorite, and the sausages were very good and so was the marinara sauce!
Great food, good service. Some noise due to large groups on our area.
Celebrated a birthday here. Great for large parties always have lots of leftovers.
Thank you for choosing Buca di Beppo to celebrate your special occasion! We appreciate you sharing your experience with us and hope you visit us again soon!
Took a while to get waited on (I think they were understaffed). Once ordering, about 20 minutes later my wife’s meal came out. Still no bread or the bottle of wine we ordered. My meal took another 30 minutes to arrive. The food was poor! The waiter insisted that he give us a free dessert. That was thoughtful. Took 2 hours total...
Had a large party and everyone was great to accommodate us. The food and service where great and everyone left satisfied and with left overs
You could spend as much time looking at the decor as eating. Interesting nooks and crannies. Loved the kitchen tour and the fact that there is a table available right in the heart of the kitchen. Staff very helpful and enthusiastic. Make sure you go there hungry.
Food is always outstanding, and portions are plentiful. Plan on bringing some home. Rick, our server was fantastic! Very friendly and nice. Great experience.
Wonderful experience awesome food
Great spot for a New Year's Eve dinner. Excellent to share a meal with all your family. Started with a nice antipasto salad. Then had stuffed chicken breasts (excellent) and a big bowl of penne ala vodka. Yummy. Had no room for dessert. But what we saw at other tables looked good. This is a good place. And better than an Olive Garden where everything tastes bland. Here at least we had the spice and the fun.
Wonderful way to celebrate friends and New Years! Great food and service!!!
Delicious flavors, home-cooked meals, fast service. Although menu is traditional Italian cuisine, the flavors were amazing, and the desserts worth making it a little space for. Service was also great, special attention to detail and consideration for the kids we had with us. And the decor of the restaurant took you to Italy, for a dinner among family and friends.
We will be eating there many times to come.
Group of 14- accommodating and warm welcome. Food was excellent and service was strong.
