The price has gone up significantly. I was shocked that we only ordered small sized salad/appetizer/pasta and some soft drinks (no re-fills); and the bill total was over $115. The food tasted bland to awful. I will never go back to Buca di Beppo again.
We have been coming to this particular location over the past year. The appetizer took close to an hour. Our waitress was kindly to remove it from my bill.
The service was terrible. Everything else was good though
Has gotten too expensive. Will not return much anymore
Great food, great waiter. Just an all around great experience.
We were a party of ten. We asked to be seated in a quiet room with
few guests. Our request was granted and we were alone in a separate room.
This worked out well for our group.
Our servers were good and checked on us periodically.
The food was brought out in segments--salads and pizza first
then entrees to share. All was fine.
This is a good place for large groups and families.
Way over priced for what is essentially mall food! They took so long to bring our food out that the kids were loosing their minds and it wasn't even crowded. Maybe 2 other tables. For the price we paid I could have had fine dining
I had a lovely dinner with an oId friend and enjoyed the quietness of the restaurant with oldies from my generation playing in the background!
It was so bad we sent a letter to the manager.
Host didn’t seat us on time even with reservation and I had to walk up and remind them despite letting them know we were here and there were plenty of seats available. Waitress was way too chatty and aggressive. Beer menu is not up to date on menu and was told that they might have beer we ordered. Woman came to our table and took pics and even though they said it was free, came back and brought the pics and asked us to purchase them. We ordered food and waitress tried to tell us what to order. Asked for spinach dip and was told you ran out. Had to ask multiple times for takeout boxes. Food was good but overall very annoying experience. Won’t be back.
Kitchen only partially working when we went. Lasagna was very bad. Salads ok. Not a good dining experience. Music was very loud.
The food was just good, not great. Nothing innovative or new as you’d find in a real Italian restaurant. The front desk could not find our open table reservation and made us wait a long time. The 1950’s stereotypical Italian American decor is slightly funny but way over done and actually offensive to any real Italian. Italy has an extremely sophisticated food and design culture. I get that it’s a jokey themed place but struck me as blackfacing Italians.
Celebrating moms birthday.
Great service, great food. Must try spicy chicken rigatoni.!!
Poor service and food quality
My husband and I came out for a prevalentines day date. We were looking forward to the usual incredible, delicious Italian food.
Instead we were seated in an area right beyond the kitchen and the outside. The noise level from the kitchen was so loud it was hard to make conversation.
The food took about an hour and a half to come out. It was dry, lacking sauce, and flavor. We did request chili flakes and extra marinara but finished our meal before they both arrived. The portions are grand though.
This is the first review I’ve ever given that was this poor.
Non working phone number, no greeter in attendance (I waited and waited). I attended the 'so called' Meatball Monday when the sub and spaghetti meals were to be 50% off. How ever, it was not listed anywhere in the restaurant nor on the menu. As a result, instead of paying about nine dollars, my meal was over $16.00 instead!!! I will not attend any other Buca di Beppo establishments as a result (of my own volition...)
They couldn’t find our reservation and the waiter was not attentive at all
Food was very tasty. Buca has changed their recipes a little bit. Like the chicken limon sauce before. Much better than today's creamier sauce.
They give zero for birthday celebrations!!! I booked a reservation online-their system was down.
Always love the margherita pizza at buca!
This is a unique location in the middle of a mall/market in Los Angeles. We had intended on dining in the market, but selected Buca di Beppo instead. With the salmon sorrento entree (or the chicken limone), you can get a pretty tasty but lower calorie meal at Buca's. They now have Brussels Sprouts with prosciutto!
I thought the food was only average and the service only deserves a passing grade. Nothing special.
Our family had expectations that there would be a wait for food and we were ok with that. We ordered the Christmas dinner that feeds five and a children’s macaroni & cheese. When we received the pasta course, it was about 3-4 ravioli per person which wasn’t enough food for five people. When the macaroni & cheese arrived, the macaroni was under cooked and inedible.
The server provided great service and did his best under the circumstances.
16th birthday and Christmas
Left with no food
Waited an hour after we ordered to get food, no bread, no appetizers, no update or even a drink refill update it was the worst I will never be back! Ever
9 people Celebrating two Birthdays and one promotion. Everything we ordered they were out of the food in quality was awful. In addition while we were eating they begin to clean the kitchen with bleach and the aroma helped us or us out the door and they didn’t even apologize for the awful smell and poor quality of food and service. We are agreed that we would never eat there again I would never ever recommend this awful place..
Another wonderful experience at Buca di Beppo! We were seated promptly and the service from then to the end of the evening was exceptional - as always. And the food - where to begin! It's amazing and I have leftovers for two more meals! Great value for the dollar - as the old TV commercial used to say "try it, you'll like it!"
HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! Used to come here all the time with friends and for a quick lunch or dinner, hence not sure if the staff changed recently but the this time the hosts/ servers, including one who claimed to be the manager, were EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and simply RUDE.
Not to mention it was a Tuesday evening after 8PM, I had a flight to Europe the following day and was hoping to have a nice quiet dinner, more than half the restaurant was completely empty, yet the service, or I should say lack of it, was equal to the busiest holiday night of the year. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!
This is an Italian family-style restaurant. That means you get huge portions on everything. We ordered and had far more food than we could possibly eat. The quality the food is decent but it truly is a quantity over quality restaurant
Perfect location for family dinning. Kid friendly
We were seated right away despite being early for our reservation, which was appreciated. The tables are tightly packed and the seats are as comfortable as cheap lawn chairs. The highlight of the meal was the delicious food and the marvelous service from Albert, a delightful and friendly young man. He suggested that a small serving of stuffed chicken would be sufficient for two people. That would only be the case if they were not hungry. The small portion of three breasts is what I receive in a portion for one at my favorite Italian restaurant. It is a disappointment that one must order a Thanksgiving dinner for at least three, which made it impossible for me to have a traditional meal for the first time in my life. It also was not possible for us to order a side disjh of broccoli despite it being served to others as a part of the Thanksgiving feast. It took almost a half hour to receive bread, for which Albert apologized multiple times. I heard a server apologiziing to an adjacent table for the long wait to receive their food. Our meals took about a half hours to arrive after ordering, which is too long when there is nothing else to eat. Fortunately, the outrageous parking charge of as much as $30 at the adjacent lot melted away with validation from Buca di Beppo.
Oren, we are extremely sorry to hear that we let you down – especially on such a special day. We appreciate that you have taken the time to write to us and will share this experience with our management team.
The food was consistent with other locations but the service was poor and not all ordered food came out.
We waited over a half hour, with a reservation and were stuck in the bar area. The server was doing double duty, bartender and waiting tables. Took way to long to order and the food was very slow to get to us. Overall food was good, service marginal and wait time poor.
We enjoyed a fun family get-together in the Pope Room. Food was delicious and the menu easily accommodated our vegetarians and meat-eaters. Our server, Justin, was the BEST!! :-)
This has been the worst dining experience
I have ever had. Was here around the time of
It’s original opening was pretty horrible.
I chalked it up to growing pains.
Came back this Saturday with Grandkids and my wife. Took a while for a sever to come over, waited forever for our drinks.
Eventually we got to order.
It took 45 mins to get our food, people who came after seemed to get their food much before us.
The food was cold and far from tasty.
I had ordered a birthday surprise and it took so long that we left with out it.
I am told that other locations are far superior, however I believe I am done.
I left a 10% tip, and I regret having left that
My son in law, daughter and some friends also booked your restaurant and by coincidence
We were seating next to each other with the same server,
Conclusion the server shouldn’t quit his day
Terrible service. We never got our appetizer, drinks never refilled, had to waived down the busser to get us Parmesan cheese. Food was not that great either. Trust I know we are not dining at the Ritz but I do expect a certain level of hospitality
The A/C was out and we were not made aware of this until we arrived. The bar was closed as they were running swamp coolers from that location, so drink selection was very limited. Overall the restaurant felt a bit dingy.
Usually a good experience. The hostess had little interest or happiness that day. Not sure if it was the time or no air conditioning inside.
The waiter was running around a lot - seemed short staffed but good. Daniel, he was super.
The bell boy lacked good service skills and presentation. He actually sort of dropped the dish on our table because it was hot. Should have used some mitts. Maybe think it out.
The bread was really hard too.
A/C not a horrible problem. They just put everyone in the same area with a loud fan adding to the problem.
Food was good otherwise.
We will report back next time, may be better.
The lady's bathroom was filthy . The food is plenty that reflects the price.
