It was my birthday and the place looked nice while walking through the restaurant to get seated.
They placed my party of 4 in a booth which was fine, but a lady sitting behind my husband and soon was screaming and cackling the whole time. I glared at her to let her know she was annoying and to shut up!! Ruined my whole Birthday evening...Her family told her to keep her voice down and the staff came by and was talking to her didn’t even tell her that she was loud, it looked like she knew someone they worked there.
I was about to get up and move and to be laced else where but our food arrived, which was not bad...
Disappointed at the staff who did NOT do or say anything to that family...other tables were affected by it too.
We are so sorry to hear that we let you down – especially on such a special day. We appreciate that you have taken the time to write to us, We will be sure to share this experience with our staff in an effort to improve future guest experiences.
We went with another couple and enjoyed the family style/sharing options. The dishes we chose, some of which we had had before, were very good! All of the food was very fresh, nothing was reheated, nicely presented and quite tasty! We do feel that the bottled wine prices are too high for what you’re getting and it was helpful to have a $20.00 off coupon! It had also been my Birthday recently so I did have a coupon for a free Colossal Brownie Sundae which was wonderful and sinful and fed 4 of us with some left over! All in all, we enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning!
Thank you for choosing Buca di Beppo to celebrate your special occasion! We appreciate you sharing your experience with us and hope you visit us again soon!
Back to school
Thank you for choosing Buca di Beppo. We appreciate you for taking the time to review our restaurant.
I've been taking my family here about twice a year for at least the last 4 or so years. This last time (July 27th) maybe our last. We liked this restaurant for the location, food selection and service. This last time was such a disappointment in so many levels, I don't think I will ever take my family there again. The wait staff use to be very attentive, welcoming and caring, I didn't get an inkling of that. This could be an off night for our waitress so lets chalk that up as that. The food, I understand restaurants need to make money but the prices went up drastically but the food quality went down as well. We had linguine frutti di mare and chicken saltimbocca. The linguine was horrible, the sauce tasted like someone opened a can of diced tomatoes added salt, oregano and water. The chicken was dry in the middle and barely had any sauce and garnishes, I use to love their chicken saltimbocca. My wife and I usually have seconds but the taste was very disappointing to say the least, if the cooks themselves put this quality of food for their customer's they really don't care about their job which also explains the below average performance of the wait staff. About a year ago my wife gave this a 5-star rating, today we feel we wasted our time and we feel cheated. Sad to say but this could be the last time I will dine at this establishment.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review as our customer’s feedback is very important to us. Thank you for your loyalty as well. We apologize your experience was not up to our usual standards. We will undoubtedly contact management and make them aware of the situation to ensure it does not reoccur in the future.
Great meal. Love the chicken marsala and chicken carbonara. We always are able to take some home for another meal. The Italian cream cake is delicious too
We are so glad you had such a great time with us. We look forward to seeing you back soon!
The last time I went to this place was years ago. Back then, I liked it. I decided to take my extended family over there to celebrate a birthday. We came in at the time of the reservation and we waited a little while my relatives were happily looking around. Once we were to be taken to the tables, the walk-through by the kitchen turned off the two oldest ladies I was with. That was ok too, I'd always enjoyed that part. The restaurant was quite empty, which was kind of weird for a Saturday evening... The real problems, for me, started when we were sat down right next to two other large parties (again, in a mostly empty place), and one which was particularly loud, with kids who were completely out of control (not the restaurant's fault, but if you have an out of control party, and plenty of space, why would you sit people so close to them?). Trying to explain how the restaurant worked was particularly hard. In the meantime, one of my relative's silverware was dirty, which turned off someone else in the party. And when I say "dirty," I mean that there was a big chunk of food stuck to a fork and a knife (the same chunk!). My silverware was dirty too (green leaf of something stuck to the soup spoon), but I was trying to have a nice time, so I just moved it to the side. The waitress came, she seemed irritated (maybe because of the loud family next to us, or maybe because she was working almost by herself). My relative gave her the silverware (she didn't even apologize) and she took our drink orders. She then went to get new silverware. The problem is that my relative had given her the silverware tucked in her napkin. She saw how the waitress used the same napkin to return the silverware... then we waited. The noise level was infernal, no one understood how to order food, and suddenly big drops started falling from the ceiling, from the vents, on the table, splashing three in the party. We were done. We left, after trying to talk to someone who never came...

Food good server very attentive drink prices on high side
Thank you, Frank, for taking the time to share your feedback. We look forward to serving you again soon!
Prices have recently gone up. Even with a coupon won't be able to dine there as often.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review as our customer's feedback is very important to us. We hope to see you again soon.
The food was as expected but service, for a family restaurant, was absolutely miserable. Our server seemed as though we were a bother and that the restaurant was the last place in the world she wanted to be.
Our service should have been much better than what you received. Please know that we will address this with our team and will do our best to make this an isolated experience. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback!
Another great meal at BdB! This location is consistently good. Had a great meal with great service. Highly recommend the Exton location—we come here frequently and are never disappointed.
We are so glad you had such a great time with us. We look forward to seeing you back soon!
Haven’t been back here in a few years & was really disappointed with our experience. We don’t plan to go back.
The restaurant has seen better days, and the service was extremely slow. It’s better at other locations. Sadly there’s an old cheese smell as u enter. Time for a Reno, or deep cleaning
We eat here regularly and the food and service excellent
Great service from Nina. Food amount was ample and tasty. Love outdoor dining.
A colleague and I periodically come there when we are wanting Italian food on a Friday. It’s nice to be recognized by the managers for us asking about cheesecake on a previous occasion, the server because I like to make a meal out of Fresh Mozzarella Caprese, and garlic cheese bread, and my Colleague wanting regular bread and butter.
Took forever waiter kept saying he is new just terrible
We had a nice dinner but it seemed to take some time before our meal arrived. Our waitress checked on us to see if everything was good. We will be coming back.
We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and waited 30 minutes to be seated. Not unusual for a very busy Mother's Day Sunday. The "family style" menu was a little tough to figure out - not sure how much to order. The children's menu worked out fine for the two little ones with our party of 8. Our appetizers came fairly quickly, but we waited about one hour for our entrees. Our server was very attentive, and kept drinks coming; however, most of the beers requested were "out of stock." Our server also served the children's meals while the adults waited an additional 30 minutes. That was very helpful as the children were hungry and restless. When our entrees finally arrived the food was cold and had to be returned to the kitchen! Over all, we were not happy with our experience, which was a celebration of our daughter's graduation from a nearby university. We left the restaurant around 8:30 pm with a long ride home ahead of us. The bill was adjusted to reflect the long wait. However, no manager came to apologize or explain. Other tables around us were served while we waited, and waited. I felt that was very poor form. Our server did a fine job, was friendly and apologetic. We won't be back.
Went for mother's day with party of 7 - they were way overbooked and understaffed - seated after 40 min then got to table - no table settings. When we received plates -they were soked and still dirty - had no glasses. Took an additional 30 minutes to get an appetizer -- which was the poorest excuse for bruscetta I've ever seen. Avoid this sham of an italian restaurant. It's really bad
The food came out cold which was disappointing.
Pasta dishes lack taste
Penne ala vodka - very dry and barely any sauce
Spaghetti and meatballs - barely any sauce
Meatballs were raw in the middle, literally red
Overall, a mediocre meal. Not worth the prices they charge
This is a great family style restaurant with very large portions and a friendly staff.
Very nice. Our server was great.
It's such good food, we had so much fun. The waitress kept everything flowing.
It was good. I was disappointed I wasn’t able to sit at a table instead of a booth.
I've eaten at this restaurant many times before for dinner. I was taking my work colleagues with me to have lunch. I was actually embarrassed by the service and the food we received. It took almost 15 minutes for somebody to take care of order. The pasta was bland and I mean really bland. A friend of mine ordered fettuccine alfredo and there was hardly any sauce on it. I ordered the penny with pesto cream sauce and there was barely any sauce there as well. As a matter of fact, the food was so bad that my colleague that had fettuccine alfredo took 3 bites and left the rest; the waitress actually took it off of our bill. Now, I'm not sure if I will even go back for dinner. Extremely disappointed. Maybe lunch is not their forté.
Amazing as always! Our server was Quinn who did a great job and both managers stopped by at some point to touch base with us. Which is pretty amazing on a Friday night!
Food was excellent as well as the service. Only complaint is that they didn’t sing Happy Birthday even though they knew we were there to celebrate a birthday.
This restaurant has emerged in recent years to have consistently good quality food and service, and Has now become one of the regular places on the short list of restaurants I go to regularly. Our server perfectly paced out meal. Chicken limone was excellent. As was Penne in vodka sauce. We ate an early dinner in bar area and no issues with noise level. We do stick to wines so cannot rate bar service but find variety of wines offered to be good and not too highly priced.
Our server Mindy made the difference. I made a ressie of 645pm and was there early. Was hoping to be seated anyways while waiting for my companion. The podium kids one was on cell phone one was twirling her hair while the other stated I have to wait for my 645pm ressie. But then about 2 or 3 guest came in no ressie and was seated right away. Thank God Mindy was a very pleasant hostess/server made me forget how I wanted to just walk out.
This was the 2nd time I’ve visited Buca in the past two months. I used to go all the tine. I hate to say it, but I probably won’t be visiting again in quite a while. The quality of the food has diminished...rubbery chicken, over cooked pasta, burnt appetizers, servers who are not well trained to notice if something is wrong — not even to refill your drinks. This used to be a ‘destination restaurant’ for my husband and I to kick off our weekend getaways. Not anymore. Now we’ll have to find somewhere else to go.
Overall a very OK experience. Tortellini was overcooked, out of orichetti so they substituted cavatappi, awkward wait stations made service inconsistent. It was close to being good but the execution fell short.
Food was great as usual
The manager was wonderful. She immediately inquired if we had been to Buca di Beppo in the past. We shared our past positive experiences with the franchise restaurants. I was so impressed with her enthusiasm for the restaurant. The staff was great and very courteous. The food was excellent.
The food and service was great as always. Took a friend and they were amazed!!
Food and service was excellent! They charge way too much for a glass of wine or a mixed drink.
We had a reservation for 11 people for 6:45 pm.
We were told we were being seated at the pope’s table when we checked in & but were were taken to a large booth (which only seats 8). The host left us to stand in the middle of the dining room while she found us another table. She then told us they were sending out an appetizer “on the house” bc of the confusion. The appetizer then ended up charged to our bill, which they did fix once we pointed it out.
We ordered & got our salad & first round of drinks in a timely fashion. It was downhill from there. The next round of drinks took over 25 minutes to come out, after reminding the server about them. Awhile later the main dishes came out & 25+ minutes later, our kids orders. The food & drinks were all delicious but the service was far from what I have experienced at Buca in the past. They did comp the appetizer & all of the kids meals bc of the confusions/delays in getting our food/drinks.
We went with a large group, food was good, hot and plentiful. Good service.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Reservations were honored and we were seated immediately.
The service was extremely slow. Waited for a long time to put our order in. Drinks went empty as our server walked by. The food was just so-so. Usually we finish a large Caesar salad. This time no one wanted it. The lettuce was lacking a crispness. The lasagne was ok but they gave us a spoon to cut it with. A spoon! Overall we left disappointed in our meal and experience. It will be a while until we return.
