Ordered Baked Ziti, chopped antipasto salad, pepperoni pizza, garlic cheese bread, and kids spaghetti and meatballs. The salad was fantastic, as was the pizza. Baked ziti just good, nothing special, but way serve it ensures it was hot throughout the meal. The garlic bread was horrible, barely cooked, not crisp at all, had to send it back. Service was beyond bad, pizza and garlic bread came out 20 mins after the baked ziti, had to ask more than once about the missing food. Had to go to the front twice to get boxes and check after requesting twice from the waitress. Waitress tried to say they were busy but front had 3 servers chatting when I came up who to their credit jumped to help us quickly. Even after this we had to walk our check to another server to pay our bill so we could leave.
Celebrated a birthday, food and service very nice.
Great family-friendly dining, yummy food and excellent service! Our waiter Bobby was fantastic!
Food was great and service was fair. It was super busy so it was understandable
Very fun night my daughter birthday they accommodated as best as they can. My daughter loves the food and the experience. Always a pleasure to visit Bucca De Beppo in Encino.
This restaurant has a festive vibe and feels like it is right for a birthday party or large gathering. There were two in my party and , because the food is served family style, we had enough to take home for two more meals. The pasta san remo was very good as was the salad and chocolate cake. I even enjoyed the Chianti. When I go back i will go with a larger group so that we can finish the food. The cost for two , including desert, wine and tax, was about $150. Not inexpensive.
We wait 30 min to be seated

It was a good experience overall, nothing special. We were seated at one of the back tables to accommodate our large group. Food’s good, and inherently Bucca with its large portions. One thing we all didn’t care for was the bruschetta. The toppings got no flavor and literally just diced tomatoes, not even a single cheese. Also, our server wasn’t too attentive. He got quite a few of our orders mixed up. Also, our drinks (even water) took a while.
Disgusting food, pasta from a can is better. The first pasta, raviolis were cold upon arrival and it seemed they microwaved them and brought them back, they were beyond disgusting. The only eatable pasta was the baked ziti and the carbonara, everything else was worse than airline food in coach class, not exaggerating. On a positive note, the server named Angel was very sweet and extremely attentive.
We have been going to Buca for 20 years. Food has gone downhill over that period, changes have been made, etc and this time I really noticed. The food just isn't as good, and while they still serve it on massive size platters, the portions are smaller. It just wasn't as good, overall. The service was good considering it was Christmas Eve and she was busy. She was personable.
Food was delicious, the service was excellent. Three of my coworkers had never visited before, and they got fascinated eith the food.
Our server, Joe was great and very friendly. Chicken Marsala was too sweet. Lasagna was great!
Drinks are a bit expensive but overall experience was good.
Definitely will be back again!
server didn't know his menu. Food portions are great. spaghetti and meatballs comes with very little sauce. white pizza quite tasty. you can't go wrong with the plump chicken parm or the rigatoni with sausage.
Good food and service as usual.
Good food, very slow service, had to wait on food served for plates. A bit slow.
Celebrated my Moms 77 birthday. Staff went out of there way to make sure the evening ran smoothly. Great food and Great Service.
The staff at this location were very accommodating to my requests and even put my name on their board for my birthday which was really sweet. The waiter came to the table immediately and was very attentive the entire time. The food came out relatively quickly and everything tasted great. There wasn't one thing we didn't like. My only issue with their food is it doesn't reheat well so if you're going to order alot, make sure its something that everyone will eat up since it won't be very good later. With that being said, I would still go back to this location when I want to go somewhere with a large group that is close to home.
My mother in law took me, my husband and daughter out to dinner just because. The food was great and she is gluten intolerant and they had a gluten free menu. Awesome. Great kids menu. Great portions. Just good all around.
Ordered the salmon and it was awful. It was overcooked and completely dried out. For a dish that’s nearly $50 this is totally unacceptable (actually at any cost). We were offered a complimentary dessert in exchange, but nobody in my party was interested. I’m going to think twice before heading back soon because I’ve found quality to be inconsistent of late.
Food surely was not as good as previous visits, not sure why. Chicken parmigiana was not a cutlet this time but very thick piece of chicken which should have been pounded down. Either a bad night or the food is slipping. Server totally ignored us, driving is weren't refilled, never checked on us, and took forever to bring the check. Again, maybe an off night or they are slipping.
It was a great experience. It was quite for it being a Friday night. The food came out quickly and my table was ready when I got there.
Surprisingly, not crowded this evening. As usual good service and great food!
I appreciated how they managed to accommodate all 12 of us despite the app reserving only a small table for us. The general manager called us right away and managed to give us a quiet corner of he restaurant all to ourselves. Joe was awesome and really took care of all of us.
We went to Buca di Beppo for Mother's Day and a kid friendly restaurant. We were able to make a reservation, which is important when you are bringing toddlers with you. The initial greeting was very friendly and we were walked through the kitchen on the way to our table, which was properly set up for our reservation for 6. The ambience was very colorful, with pictures on the wall dating back to the early 1920's and forward. The rooms were separated into small enough areas that each one contained a much more intimate dining experience. It was very kid friendly and our servers quickly brought out something for the toddler in our group. The food was served family style in more than ample portions. It was tasty and nicely prepared.
For Father's Day, I think I'll try the lasagna. We are definitely coming back.
Terrible waiter service. Food was mediocre and environment was noisy and chaotic. Not a place to relax with family
We had a nice dinner overall. Food could have been a little better. Service was professional.
Great food, great service. I will definitely be returning again soon. It's a lot of food, big dishes.
Food and service were excellent, restaurant is noisy but we know that so no complaints, just an observation. Will
definitely be back soon.
Please update your reservation system on Open Table. We made reservations for a birthday and arrived to see "Closed/Under Construction " on the door.
We had our worst experience at this particular Buca di Beppo.
1. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation.
2. We ordered an appetizer and food right away because we know what we like at Buca...Our appetizer literally came an hour after we placed our order.
3. When our lasagna came (an hour plus after ordering)... it was cold...They attempted to heat it for us which was “ok” but we then we found a hair in it- double yuck.
We chose not to complain but we did choose to never return.
I would not recommend this place. We were seated late, the service was slow, and they didn’t have spaghetti for our spaghetti and meatballs. Maggianos is better if you are looking for family style Italian.
Both the food and the server (Matt) excellent. The kitchen screwed up one of the dishes and it came a good 20 minutes after the rest of the food. Twas a bit more expensive than we expected based upon the Yelp $ review.
It was great to celebrate my son’s birthday at his favorite place!
Everything was great with the exception of the tables being so close to each other. We were literally elbow to elbow with the neighboring table. Honestly, I understand why they cram everyone in during special holidays it did lessen the romantic dinner we were expecting to have.
Generous portions, tasty food, nice service, interesting decor, good value. It's alright with me!
We came here on a friday night and upon arrival we were told that it would be a 45 minute wait for 2 and this was at 7:40pm. I walked outside and went on my opentable app and noticed that i could make a reservation for 7:45 for 2. I clicked on it and went back inside. Im sure the server felt really dumb when she say me again with my reservation and had to tell me that my table was almost ready..instead of 45 mins. Seconds later before being seated a couple walked in and i overheard the host telling them there was a 45 min wait. I was outraged and as they were leaving i pulled them over and told them to download the opentable app because the 45 min wait was a lie. They were really happy that i spoke up.
When we were sat, our server told forever to come by. Took so long to come by that a gentlemen that looked as if though he was the manager toom our drink and food order.
The server came back a few mins later to take our order and we explained to her that someone had already taken our order. Her follpwing words were "oh well too bad. Less work for me" horrible! She never brought us bread and the drink order was brought wrong. Had to bring it to their attention and then they took another 10 mins to get me my correct drink. Wow!
The food eventually came
The $30 appetizer and our 2 main courses. Werent they taught that appetizer comes first???
We didnt complain because we were just hungry at that point. Appetizer was good, fettucini alfredo was watery and we could clearly tell that the portion was smaller ( since we are constant visitors) and the chicken dish was overcooked. The server never came back to ask how it was going and it took forever to get the check and she kept forgetting our boxes, along with the people that were sitting next to us requests. This was probably the worst customer service ive encountered at a bucca di beppo and even though convenient and close by to us, i dont know if we will ever return. 2 thumbs down unfortunately.
Food was not good
We just bought a car.
Great service . We had two toddlers with us so our server offered the kids pizza dough to play with. We were 8 people, server recommended we order 2 small dishes and 1 large. We decided to order 2 large dishes and 1 small... we had so much left over! It's. Great deal if you plan to eat family style.
