Tasty as always. Kids enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a big high school event so parking was a mess.
The food was good and the service was very good. We went for the pizza special. We had not tried BUCA pizza before. All of us enjoyed it and we brought home leftovers. The Apple Gargonzola salad is always a favorite.
Ordered salad and appetizer, main dish came out first and they didn’t take the main back when asked twice. Also, ordered a bottle of wine with the intent to take it home after having a glass each. They opened the bottle away from the table and didn’t bring the cork back so we couldn’t take it with us.
Great fresh food and friendly, hospitable service! Loved this lunch out - reminded us of why we used to love Buca before some bad experiences. Glad we returned!
The pizza 🍕 is round now, used to be rectangular. Also, was cut so poorly it was very difficult to eat.
Had a nice dinner with friends.
Took forever to get anyone to take our order. But food came out quickly.
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner tonight! The salmon was delicious and the eggplant Parmesan was perfect! The service was great as always! Great ambience!
If you make a reservation less than two hours before your meal, they won't honor it and will blame open table for technical problems. I don't really care who's fault it is, it is a bad customer experience to arrive at a restaurant you wouldn't have gone to without a reservation, and told you would have to wait 45 minutes in the very cold waiting area.
So, if it is less than the hours until you want to eat, call. Don't use open table.
Food was hit and miss. The cheese pizza was terrible and cost $16! But the salads and breads were great. Service was attentive for our table with kids.
Great experience, food is pretty good, beware of large size bowls. I would recommend to improve the variety of red wine and include sweeter ones.
A dozen of my family had Thanksgiving dinner here, so it was likely more crowded than usual. This made the noise level probably much higher than usual as well. The food was great (traditional Thanksgiving meal), and a couple of people in our party ordered Italian off the menu and said it was great as well. My only criticism is that we requested a high chair several times, but one was never brought to us. It caused them to have to leave early as it was not possible to keep the 13 month old confined without it.
We had a good coupon so eating tonight was a bargain! Food was good, service was good. Love the decor and it’s always loud with birthday singing! Have been going to Buca since they opened and will continue.
Fantastic food and all at a great value. My family and Ii always enjoy eating here.
Very enjoyable experience. Our server gave us good advice to order the way we wanted. The food was delicious. We could hear each other speak!
My family and I visited Buca on a Saturday evening. We had a reservation for a booth but were told that no booths were available. After being seated, our waiter took our drink order and seemed to disappear. When returning with waters and sodas for our children, we were told our wine would be right out...that did not happen. In fact, we had to flag our waiter down to remind him. We eventually ordered and had a lengthy wait for our food. After eating our meal, we again had to flag the waiter down to ask for a box and the check. We even sent a gift card and credit card with him to speed up the process. Again, he disappeared. It was exactly 16 minutes later when he returned to tell us that only his manager could approve the gift card, and she was very busy. We waited, with a 10 and 7 year old eagerly wanting to leave. Finally, we asked to speak to the manager after another 10 minutes. Our check arrived just before the manager came to our table. For some reason, there was no explanation for the gift card approval delay, but the manager took $20 off our bill...too little too late. Needless to say, my family will not be visiting Buca in Eden Prairie any time soon. The staff seems to be more focused on singing Happy Birthday to diners celebrating a special day than attending to the tables. I also feel that for a Saturday evening, there were not enough staff.
Fun atmosphere and good Italian food. 2nd time we've celebrated a birthday there.
Would definitely do it again.
Service wasn’t as good as usual.
Our server started out ok but after our food came, she rarely followed up and didn’t clear our dinner plates even when dessert was served. She didn’t return for water refills and didn’t in general seem to be interested in us. Disappointing.
Food was great as usual.
Disappointing visit after not eating at Buca for a while. Ran out of arugula (what Italian restaurant runs out of arugula at 6:00pm on a Sat night?) for a new style pizza and put way too much balsamic vinegar on the pizza with no greens to counter it. ( Also, as we left through the great kitchen entry-way, we watched the hostess spreading parsley on the meals with her bare hands. Just doesn't seem very sanitary to greet people, handle menus and who knows what else - and food! Has always one of my favorite restaurants and now not sure we'll go back.
Went for my moms birthday. Food was good, kind of expensive for pasta...service was subpar, barely saw our waiter, especially for a non busy Tuesday night. They sang their own happy birthday song, which was fun, and they have pretty big portions, but overall, nothing overly special.
