Great place for large groups.
We had a very large group (34 people) and the service was AMAZING!!! The waitress did an amazing job keeping orders together while parties were scattered. Excellent experience- thank you!
Very crowded the night we were there, but after waiting 30 minutes past our reservation, food was WAY overpriced for what it was. Chicken Parmesan had decent flavor but the chicken was chewy like it had been microwaved. They were out of pizza so we ordered lasagna, but then advised they were out of lasagna too. For 3 of us ordering two small dishes and garlic bread it was over $100! I don’t mind paying that for good food but this was on par with Lean Cuisine-maybe a bit worse-seriously just don’t go!!
We didn't get seated until 45 mins past our reservation time . It then took 15 mins for wait staff to get to our table. Our waitress kept forgetting our order. They ran out of the dish we had ordered . All in all a terrible experience
So happy we made a reservation. Still waited for 30 minutes for a table. Waitress was happy to split checks, she had a few mistakes but fixed it right away. It is pricey, but a good deal for family style meals.
I made the reservation for 6 people on a very busy Saturday night (St. Pattys Day, all kinds of sports tourneys in town and the Pink concert). The place was incredibly packed but our table was ready on time and the service was great. It was super loud and the booth seats were broken down, but the food and drinks were good and we were very happy overall.
We had a great time. Group of 7 for a birthday. Lots of fun. The staff were great and the food was great.
fine, vey fine
It was my dads birthday, out server was not very excited about our large party and it was very noticeable. No birthday song was sang, no dessert was offered. And he only brought bread to one of the two tables. When we asked for more it took 15min for him to bring us a cold piece of bread and no oil and vinegar. Food was alright, but it took a very long time.
Buca had delicious food as always. However, we made a reservation for 14 people. When the first guests arrived they were sent to a table seated for 10. They notified someone and were instructed "Well some of you can sit over there or you can move that table" and the guests had to move the table to set it up. It was not enough space and we had to make an "L" out of the tables. Service was poor as drinks were often left empty for up to 10 minutes. We always enjoy Buca as it is able to accommodate large groups but as we were celebrating my wife's birthday the experience made it no so enjoyable.
Food was great, but service was slow. If they had been packed, I would have expected to wait, but they weren’t very busy so I was disappointed. Never refilled my children’s drinks or even brought my husband’s drink. Never refilled waters.
Food was of very good quality, the service was very prompt and attentive, we enjoyed the evening. I would definitely recommend for Italian food in the downtown Indy area.
Lasagna was very good along with the stuffed mushrooms!
Great service and food !!!!
I’ve been to Buca many times, including this one. This is the first time I wasn’t satisfied. The first cocktail and the first appetizer I ordered they were out of. The chicken wasn’t done. We requested bread and butter for our children and they informed us they weren’t serving butter anymore. Kudos to our server Jay who did her best under circumstances in which the management left her hanging.
Unprofessional waiter. Aggressively angry when we pointed out that we never got our drinks or water and that our order came out incorrectly. Became more aggressive and confrontational as I spoke to a manager. Unacceptable experience.
We like to meet there for family dinners when we have 10-15 people. Family style and great service
Great Italian food, large portions, great service. The only complaint from the group was that there was way to much dressing on the salad--so much the lettuce was wilted.
Friends said the food was really good & enjoyed the family style serving atmosphere. I left before dinner due to anxiety level raised because you wait for your table in the kitchen. You are in the middle of the hostess yelling out names for reservations, kitchen staff yelling orders & constantly food runners moving around you. Not for me but maybe someone else will enjoy it
No silver ware forgot salad so we cancelled. Pasta was cold. Nice waitress.
My visit to Bucca di Beppo was fantastic. My group had the cheese sticks, a Caeser salad, meat rigatoni, and baked ziti. All of the food was delicious, and there was plenty for all 4 of us to have leftovers! I was really impressed by the quality of food and the hot temperature. We had a great experience!
Chicken Saltimbocca at Buca is always so delicious!
All good fun place
We did have Janelle for our waitress and she's waited on us before, she IS by far the best part about Buca's. Our food was just so so, I've been there where it's been much better. Also, you would think that a pasta joint would offer a gluten free pasta, even Olive Garden does that BUT a big NO on that. A year ago they said it would be soon,,,, LOL
I had 3 coupons and my bill was $200.00, they would seriously only let me use one of them for $20.00 off. I would think that with a $200.00 tab, the manager should of compt us for at least two of them, I mean Buca's did email them to me and apparently they are needing the business... $20 off coupon is decent. I do not think that the QUALITY is as good as the HIGH prices they charge, I am a long time customer too.
Good service. Pretty good food, but expensive for pasta.
Nice place. Good value. Noisy areas at times. Ask for a different section if so.
We had a $20 gift card that the restaurant sent us as we had signed up for promotions . The child's portion was huge and my SMALL lasagna would easily feed three....only negativity was the bread served was blah.....
The atmosphere was great! The service was outstanding. We ordered the calamari (appetizer) which we received in less than FIVE minutes! Then our chicken Marsala arrived less than 10 minutes after our appetizer!!! Great place to split a meal for two. Ideal for double dates!
Always consistent great food, good service and food left over.
Waitress handled our large crowd with no problem. She made it a point to connect with us, and that just improved the overall experience!
Not sure what was going on New Year's Eve, but the service was extremely slow and the server we had seemed to be very interested in getting on with his evening. After ordering 30 minutes went by and the server had never brought bread AND came to the table to let me know that they were out of the Mozzarella Sticks. It is bad enough to run out of this item at 8PM on a Holiday, BUT and a big BUT.....we should have been informed right away as opposed to 30 minutes later. We were seated in a booth in the bar and the bar staff and waiters were all standing behind the bar just hanging out. It looked really bad and no one seemed to care. It just wasn't a good experience for us.
Very large portions, but delicious! Share food!
When we first got there, a large group of people were near our table. They all had been drinking heavily and were quite loud. Luckily we were't seated too close to them. A woman who was got hit repeatedly by a drunk man trying to take off and put on his coat numerous times. My husband and I joked we could tell when their food came because for once they were at a reasonable noise level. Otherwise they were yelling, whistling quite loudly, and generally loud.
Once they finally left, our dinner carried on with not much more hiccup. My husbands two beers that were on tap seemed to take a bit longer than usual to make it back to the table, but I'm sure our waitress was busy.
The food overall was ok. The appetizer we got was barely above warm when we got it. Our food was a little bit warmer, but didn't seem to have been fresh out of the kitchen, more like sat around for 10-15 minutes than was delivered.
Overall I'd say it's more for large groups that are willing to wait a bit longer for their drinks and food, and are ok with their meals being semi-warm. For the prices, I'm not sure if I'd revisit again, just for the instances above.
This place was more than I expected. I thought it was a high end Italian eatery. It was WAY better than that. It is one of those local gems. VERY comfortable. I loved feeling like we were walking through the kitchen. They gave me a $15.00 coupon AFTER we made the reservation. Will go back.
Great New Year’s Eve dinner with my wife!
Food was delivered quickly. Garlic bread was overloaded with garlic to the point it would burn your mouth. Otherwise food was good.
Out of two many things including pizza and Italian dressing! Cake that I paid $12.95 per slice for was just ok and not like it used to be at the Greenwood location. Just so so....sent the eggplant parmesan back as I did not like the way it appeared to be cooked on the edges. The best part was the bread and butter!
Sadly, at least 3 menu items and iced tea were “sold out”. While we much appreciate the staff that volunteered to work on a holiday, the integrity of the menu should still be intact. How does a restaurant run out of “iced tea”.
I do not like a tomato sauce on Spaguetti with Meatballs.
Food was ok but nothing to rave about! Sangaria did not have hardly any alcohol at all. Kids did not like their food.
