Excellent Italian food and atmosphere. Expensive, but worth it. Food is served “family style” in small (serves up to 3) and large (serves up to 5) sizes. We had the prosciutto stuffed chicken and baked manicotti with a side f hot sausage. Highly recommend this, and we will probably return if we are ever in the Franklin area again.
Service was slow. We had a reservation and they took others who came in after us. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table and then the service not attentive.
Always great service and excellent food! Many choices as well!
Family style - good food and nice atmosphere
We love the atmosphere at Buca's. Our waitress missed the mark on service this time. Didn't smile or converse much. They was not a lot of chicken on my rigatoni. The area we sat in was cold, asked to change temp and it did not change by the time we left. Call it a bad night with hopes that next time it is better.
Great service. Delicious food. Fun atmosphere.
Plenty of food for the entire family. You can’t leave hungry.
Great place to take the family. Food is awesome and people are awesome
Food was great. Service was just ok.
We were seated quickly. Did not have to wait very long for our food. The food was delicious. We will be back!
It was valentines night and because of the size of our party we had to sit in the bar area. Wasn’t ideal but it was fine. Our server was fantastic!
Food and service were good.
The Quattro al Forno was delicious and the Mozzarella Caprese is still very good, although, they have apparently stopped putting olive oil or balsamic vinegar on it. This may be by customer demand, and it is easy enough to pour it on to your taste at your table. Food is served family style, which means that proportions are large and, unless you bring the whole family, you are likely to have lunch (and possibly dinner) the next day from the leftovers. The food warms up well, even in the microwave; however, as one would expect, the oven is the best source of heat for this kind of food and the takeaway trays which they provide for leftovers are oven-safe.
The mixed green salad is not as good as it used to be. Apparently, now, to them, mixed green means the different colors of iceberg lettuce; however, the lettuce was fresh and crisp and the variety of other ingredients continues to be a treat.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They went out of their way to make it a fun birthday lunch for our daughter.
We all had a great time. Enjoyed the food and we had a room all to ourselves. Good food and service.
The entire restaurant smelled of sewage. Service was ok. The bartender was rude. When the food came it was very good but hard to enjoy due to the odor.
From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. We had the privilege of sitting at the Pope table so we had lots of privacy and lots of fun. This is a family style restaurant so we ordered 4 different platters and shared, the lazy susan in the middle of the table made this a perfect option. The food was delicious and our server was great. It's a little pricy, about $31.00 a person but the ambiance made it worth the trip.
I reserved the kitchen table for my party of six. Everyone loved it. Food was great. They had a huge catering order so the staff was very busy in the kitchen. Overall it was a fun night out.
With the exception of our server that was also the bartender, the service was awful. The food was plain and not worth the price at all, except for the bruschetta. My husband accidentally left his phone at the table and we left in a hurry because it was getting late for our movie. About 5 minutes after we left, we called the restaurant to let them know that we left our cellphone at the table. The hostess put me on hold up until the time we were parking and told me that no one found the phone. I explained to her that we had JUST left the restaurant and were parking and about to get down. We waited for 10 minutes while the hostess insisted that no one found the phone until a young couple that recognized us because they had been eating at the table next to us told us a waitress had taken the phone. They said they would stay and let the manager know if we needed their help. After lots of insisting, they finally "found" the phone. Terrible service and potentially liars too. I gave the service 3 stars because like I said, our waiter, the male bartender, was great.
Food and service is consistently good. Portion size is excellent. We love the salads and Chicken Lemon. Eggplant is really, really good. The restuarant does need remodeling. It also needs a serious deep clean. 4 out of 5 lights in the men's bathroom were out . New carpets and deep cleaning are really needed. It does appear that some areas have not been swept in weeks. We really like this place, and hope that ownership will take steps recommended in this review.
It was extremely busy new years eve. I could tell that the host and some of the waiter/waitresses were frustrated due to how busy it was but they all were great. My girlfriend and I had a reservation for 7:30pm and we didn't get seated until 8pm but we didn't care. We're very understanding. David was our Waiter. He was really busy and a table gave him a hard time nearby but he was very professional and we appreciated his service. Will definitely be going back.
The food was amazing. If you’re not prepared for it, the fact that they only serve “family style” can throw you off. We got two “small” entrees and left enough food to feed a small army. The meatballs are literally the size of a softball, 1/2 lb. each.
It was noisy and crowded but worth it. They bring every guest through the kitchen, which is kind of neat. Would be a great place for a large group. We’ll be back.
Seated hour late. Spaghetti had puddle of water in plate. Couldn’t get side of dressing for dry salad. It was Christmas Day and first time here and if it’s always like this I’ll find another Italian place.
Booked a reservation through open table portal, however myself and additional guest were told to wait an additional 25-30 minutes. In which was truly 45-55 minutes after the scheduled reservation time.
Had reservations. Took 30 min to get seated and another 15 before anyone came to our table. Food was overpriced and bland.
We had reservations for 845pm and the restaurant was extremely crowded and we were told by the hostess they were running 30 minutes behind. We were seated close to our reservation time, but it took over an hour for food to arrive. Salmon was over cooked. They ran out of spaghetti and meatballs and then the kitchen got confused about what we had ordered as a replacement. Splitting the check was a chore needing a manager to approve. We will most likely not return.
We went to Buca on Christmas eve. The restaurant was very crowded but the staff did an incredible job of getting us seated and taking our order. The food was good as usual and our waiter Zach was fantastic. It is always a good experience at Buca.
Christmas Eve reservation had to wait 45 min past reservation time to get table. Food service was extremely slow. They took way to many reservations this night and were not able to seat anyone for their reservation time.
The food is always good and plentiful. We have always gotten good service.
Fifteen minutes after being seated we still hadn’t been approached by any server. Our meal was served 55 minutes after sitting down. Our server was overworked and appeared angry and unhappy to all.
Celebrated my daughters 20th burthday with group of 14 at the round pope table. Food & service was amazing.
Food was warm at best. Veal was tough, penna San Remo was tasteless. Crying kids with inconsiderate parents. They used to be a good place to go for Italian food but not anymore. I’m done with Buca.
Went for the second year in a row for Thanksgiving. While they do serve the traditional feast it is a great alternative to traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Buca is a great Italian get-a-away in Nashville. The food is always great. The design is perfect. It's a perfect setting for our large family!
Food was delicious as always. Plenty of food, you will not leave hungry. Service was great.
Generous portions, eggplant parmigiana was nicely done, very simple Caesar salad
Was a wonderful time the wait staff was on top of it and we enjoyed our selves.
Overall our experience at Bucca was fair. We were placed in a back corner room with a very loud family that fortunately left shortly after we sat down. Our waitress tried her best I️ suppose but my husband ordered a bottle of wine for the table and had to pour the glasses himself. Disappointing for a $120 plus meal to have to pour your own wine. It was not a memorable food experience either. Just so so. We want to support the restaurant and staff since we live in Cool Springs but it was an expensive meal for the average experience....
It was a birthday with friends but no one sang
Our waiter Aaron was awesome and took good care of us. The food was fine and filling!
