Dinner before a concert. Food was good and service was fine. Did not realize everything was ala cart and had to order pasta separately to go with meat dishes. Anti pasta chopped salad was excellent. Noise level made it hard to have a conversation.
Terrible experience. Poor service, food was served cold, and over priced.
Good Food. Great desserts. Only drawback is no individual dishes. Makes it difficult if everyone wants something different. Would definitely recommend.
We had a family dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The restaurant is a little creepy being in the basement - dank and dark - the atmosphere made me feel that the place wasn't quite clean. The food was bad. The pasta was overcooked - lasagna & the fettuccine. The chicken marsala sauce was sweet, which was disgusting. The shrimp tasted really dirty (the fried appetizer plate - forgot what it's called). The salads were decent, gorgonzola & the chopped. We took home the chopped antipasto and because there was dressing already included, the lettuce ended up soggy. The brussel sprouts were good. The server was good. I told the manager the pasta was overcooked and all he said was "I'm sorry about that" and walked away.
Always a fantastic time at Bucca. This particular location in downtown Columbus is the best ever. The food is always consistent at Bucca and very good
This meal was excellent and our service was terrific. We had a table of seven people who were able to eat a wonderful meal before heading over to the hockey game in the arena.
Pretty disappointed. We’ve gone there ever Valentine’s Day for a while now. Food was cold on when delivered.. they took it back and microwaved it. Taste was subpar and we just ended up getting steak and shake afterwards because we couldn’t stomach it.
Service was great and food was good!
Just wanted to eat close to the NA.
Went before a Blue Jackets game expecting good food and possibly some leftovers as I’ve heard the portions were large. Being a game day, the place was busy so it took some time for the server to get around to us. We both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana (being an Italian place I figured this would be a safe selection) but, boy, was I wrong. It tasted like warmed over cafeteria food and we decided to leave the leftovers behind.
There are plenty of options in the Arena District, I don’t plan on returning
The restaurant was packed and every table was seated. The wait staff was not able to manage their tables. We didn't get our drinks refilled, and even after asking the manager in addition to the waiter, we didn't get any additional butter. Most concerning was the reply that both the manager told another table and the waiter told us when we asked about being served bread. When customers at another table asked the manager about it and later we asked our waiter, they both explained that due to the heavy volume of customers, waiters would take the first bread that came up, which left those of us in the back of the basement without bread. When the customer at that table asked if any of their meal would be free since they had already finished eating, the manager replied that he would give them bread, but not a meal. The irony was that there WAS no bread. The customer at the other table told the waiter that they would wait for the bread before they left despite being told that it would take 25 minutes. She waited. We finally were served some bread and it was delicious. However, I didn't want to hear their excuses. They should be prepared for a busy Saturday evening.
Highly recommend the Sparkling Sangria! The food was great!
Delicious food and good service, considering the volume of costumers. I do not recommend this restaurant during busy times. We visited when a concert was about to begin in the area. The noice level and amount of people waiting to be seated was unbearable.
Great food, unique experience
Valentine’s Day date. The food and atmosphere were both amazing as they usually are. The service was outstanding. However, due to the portions being sized for at least three, the bill adds up pretty quickly if you try several dishes. I would recommend dining with at least four to get the true value out of Buca. Overall very good experience but a very pricey meal for two.
I forgot the name of our waitress but she was awesome...very nice and energetic!! The food was great! My mom had a great birthday dinner:)
Chelsey was a great waitress - she even told us we were her first official customers - she did a great job!! We were a little disappointed with the tiramisu - the ladyfingers were not soft and did not seem to have been soaked in the coffee liqueur/espresso.
We had friends come in from Canada and I took them there for a nice family style dinner! I love the chicken Marsala and talked it up big time! When I ordered they said they were out of Marsala sauce! Can the chef not try and make some, whats next we ran low on pizza and pasta! Very disappointing!
Loved the staff and how easy it was to get a reservation for a big group!
Our reservation was honored at the correct time. The service was great. Food was as expected.
Great food, great location. Will definitely eat there again!
Amazing discount from their email club. They practically give away great food and service!
Great food, great service!
Fun time. Great service and delicious food.
Absolutely amazing dinner and the service was remarkable. We we're a table of 6 and wanted for nothing. We had reservation and was seated immediately. Perfect evening.
Our server Cobey was awesome!
Although we were seated late, the food was good and out server was excellent!
We love to come here before Columbus blue jacket hockey games. Food is served quickly and always tastes good! Servings are family style and very large-fun to get a few to share. Only problem is that the foyer is small so waiting g for a table gets cramped but there is a bar to the side as well. My favorite entree is th spaghetti and meatballs and the ziti with ricotta cheeses. The garlic bread is very good too and cut into smaller piec s so that you are not filling up too much on bread. The decor offers a lot to look at and is very comforting and casual. A great place to bring kids since noise level gets a bit higher.
We always seem to come back to Buca for dinner when we have hockey tickets. I love being able to reserve our favorite table online and they know us the minute we walk in. We love going here!
With our group of 19, our waitress rocked it!!! Always great food and fun times!
Stopped by before going to the Ohio Theatre
I was disappointed in the service. We had a party of 10. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, but they seemed short staffed. We were not allowed to use two coupons within two separate checks. We were told that only one per table could be used. There is no mention of that on the coupon itself. The waitress didn't ask if we needed leftover containers. Once she got her money, she was nowhere to be seen. Initially, it took her a while to take orders and give refills. She didn't seem very pleasant. I won't be going back. Once my coupon was denied, that did me in. I'll go to the Olive Garden or Spaghetti Warehouse.
We love to come to your restaurant, but this wasn’t a good experience at all. We checked in early and let them know we would be in the bar area. We checked after 15 minuets of our reservation time, they said we were next, after another 15 minuets they told us we are next. By this time the waiting area was empty. I stood there for another 10 minuets....EVERYONE had been seated, I told her that we had not, she acted very inconvenied, and told me she had called our name, which she hadn’t, we would have heard.
Our food was okay, all the paste seemed way over cooked and tough. Hope our next visit is better.
Completely under staffed.
It was good but we were seated right by the door on a cold night and there were tons of people in the lobby area waiting for a table. Other than that, the food was great!
The stuffed mushroom app was outstanding. However the stuff chicken was dry and the breading was mushy. Our garlic bread arrived 15-20 minutes after our main course. The meal was about $100 for two of us which is extremely overpriced for such mediocre to below average food.
Very shabby service experience with multiple staff members outright complaining about working in front of customers. We had to flag people down for water, to order, to get OIT check. The manager walked around with his head hung down doing virtually nothing.
The service was awful. It took 15 minutes for us to receive our wine, everybody at our table needed a water refill and server was nowhere to be found, our table of 6 only had cutlery for 4 and we had to ask twice for the cutlery and 2 people could not eat their salads. When we expressed to our lady server (2 servers were working together), that we asked for water refills 10 minutes ago, her response was “well we are busy and that’s not a bad excuse”!!! We will never go back.
