Always great to go here before an event at Nationwide arena. Good service, too much food, a good time!

I’m just going to say that this was worse experience I’ve had here .. been many times and it was a lot busier in past and had zero issues .. This time it was kind a sh$t show .. bar or bartenders took 40 minutes to get us our drinks .. our entree was served literally moments after we got first round of drinks.. they were out of pretty much everything from Miller lite beer to ranch dressing .. I understand it was a event week end with a concert going on.. actually that’s why we were there.. server seemed inexperienced. Not bad just not with it..
management did offer free appetizers or dessert for our troubles.. we finally had to talk to them to get some answers and attention that our meal needed .. again I’ve been many times but I’ll consider other places first next time..

We were a group of 6. Food was great. Plenty. Waitress even felt we were ordering too much. We wanted leftovers.
Very attentive staff and management. And they were busy which was great to see. We would go back.

The place was empty and now we know why. The food was terrible and service was bad. The restaurants in this chain are usually pretty good so we were very disappointed

Food was not good. Spaghetti and meatballs were so bad, we did not eat it. They did take it off the bill. Service was good. Carpet is worn completely thru to the backing.

They weren’t very busy but the service was slow. Food was ok, we ordered way too much without much guidance from server.

Big restaurant with space for large groups and private sections, for those wanting to avoid crowds, with outdoor seating as well. Great food and great service at this location!

Nice family style with huge portions to share, and a very interesting interior with plenty to explore on the walls. Our server was great!

That said, not sure I’ve ever had blander Italian in my life. There wasn’t a hint of devil in the fra Diavlo and the pasta reminded me of what I used to serve the kids when they were 2. So much potential wasted. Need to kick it up about 8 notches!!

The server we had seemed to forget about us. Other times when we had been to bucca, the servers were very attentive. This one was not

We ate here before graduation from Ohio State and we all had a lovely time! Our server was great and attentive. We will definitely be back!

We had a 9:30 reservation and were immediately turned away at the door because the kitchen was closing soon. We explained we had a reservation, so the hostess went to speak with a manager. She came back and said that they could seat us, but they’re closing at 10:00. Already feeling unwelcome and rushed, we sat down and ordered promptly, to try to get out quickly. Our server was great, but the initial encounter was such a turn off and we felt rushed to leave the entire time. I would suggest not accepting reservations after 9:00 if you’re closing at 10:00. When it was booked, they had open reservations all the way up to 10:00. It was just a really unpleasant experience overall.

Always have enjoyed going to Buca since I was a kid. Yesterday, I went with my fiance for restaurant week and WOW! you can't beat the deal they are offering! Superb service,hot food, great drinks.

Absolutely amazing (as always) service, food and wine. Never have had a bad meal or experience at Buca.

Not as good as it used to be, don't think we'll go back.

Great service and delicious food! The Anti-pasta salad was fantastic! Perfect place to celebrate Father’s Day!

Food was tasteless and not worth it, olive garden would have been better and cheaper.

Food was ok, staff was friendly and helpful.

Mother’s Day

We came for Mother’s Day dinner at 6:15 PM. We didn’t leave until 9:15 PM. The server told us they were behind, but couldn’t imagine it would be this long. The server brought us dirty plates and “couldn’t find the silverware,” so brought us the to-go plastic. They didn’t have milk or coffee. The “Quattro formaggio” plate had pork products on it (if you make stuffed shells with pork, please put that on the menu). We spent $150 dollars for the 5 of us to dine; had extras & then were told there were no to-go boxes, which was a lie. I will NEVER return to this place if business.

First off the servers did their best with what was clearly a bad hand. This was an absolute clown show.

We had a reservation for 4:45. We were not sat until 5:10. There was trash on the floor and the floor looked dirty. When the waiter arrived he stated that they had received a lot of to go orders and as a result the kitchen was backed. We waited an hour and 10 minutes to receive our food after ordering as did all the other tables around us. Some waited even longer. The staff didn’t even act like they cared that the wait was so long. We were never approached by a manager about the long wait nor offered any compensation for it. I felt as though the manager should have stopped the to go orders until they had a reasonable turn around time to get food out to the people in the dinning area. I understand that the food industry is understaffed and it has been causing problems. However this was not the case here. It was just poor management. We will not eat here again.

We always loved going to this restaurant but it is in dire need of “sprucing up”. The carpet is really worn, booths need replaced and it needs a deep cleaning. I feel they should have takes time during the lock down to make improvements. The food is still solid but we may have to pick a new spot for family celebrations.

Happy Mother’s Day?? We went to celebrate Mother’s Day and it couldn’t have gone worse. We ordered an appetizer before our entrees, it came out well after our entree and after we asked twice where it was. The food I ordered never came. We asked for it to be placed in a to go box since everyone else at the table finished eating and we were all ready to go at this point as we had been there for over an hour and a half. When my husband spoke to the manager all he did was offer excuse after excuse. To top it all off, when we got home and I opened my to go box to eat my food I hadn’t had the chance to eat while there, it wasn’t even what I ordered. 0/10 chance I will ever return.

This restaurant was out of many types of foods. They were short staffed. They are prioritizing "virtual kitchens" over dine-in. We were made aware of NONE of these issues and we made the reservation for Mothers Day and drove quite a ways to dine there. Very unsatisfying.

Additionally, we had 2 mistakes in what we were served. This may have been because the server did not write anything down.

They seemed busier than they were used to so the kitchen got backed up quite a bit. It was our server's first day so she tried the best she could take care of things. Also had a bit of an issue with our reservation wait...but in the end everyone tried to fix all the issues.

Mother’s Day and birthday!!

Twenty minutes after we were seated they sat a group of 18 middle school aged students beside us. They received their meals before our party of four! It took over an hour for them to bring our two entrees! The salad was incorrect; they didn’t refill water glasses very often; and they never brought us the bread that came with the special we ordered. The waitress said the manager would take off the two entrees since the wait was so unacceptable. However salad, two sodas, two sangrias was $80 so he didn’t take anything off and we weren’t given an itemized receipt. Our reservation was at 4:45 and the waitress had told us they were out of straws; out of silverware and close to being out of napkins. That’s too early is a dinner rush to be so short supplied. It was a disappointment

As a family, we go to Buca at least once a year, however, this was the first time the entire experience was a disaster. First, we ordered a bottle of wine to split among 3 people. Although dinner was early and the restaurant was pretty empty, we were brought beer steins to drink our wine out of. After ordering our meals, we started on our salad. The waitress removed the salad bowl before it was empty, without asking, and offered no apology. She stated “meals were coming out so she figured we were done.” Extremely rude considering the salad isn’t all you can eat. Then, after our meals were delivered we asked for a second order of garlic bread. The waitress never brought it out or checked on us so we had to ask a different person for help. The waitress was the one who brought it out, and again offered no apology and stated, “oops. I forgot.” If this is how Buca operates post pandemic, my entire family and I will never be back. It was horrendous!

Being able to make the reservation online was great. We didn't have to wait; in fact, we got there early and that wasn't a problem. The food was delicious and our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. We had a great time!

We weren’t spoken to or looked at for more than 20 minutes. The only good thing about that place was Coco, the new server we were given.
Food was disgusting.

The food was poorly prepared, undersalted and bland. The pasta was very mushy. In an Italian restaurant this is inexcusable. The waitstaff kept hovering over the table and brought the check while I was still eating. Not great. It’s ok for a gimmicky restaurant with huge portions near the hockey arena and not too far from the university, but don’t bother eating there if you like actual Italian-American food. You may as well go to the Olive Garden. Better bang for your buck.
