Food is served family style. Even a "small" entree is enough for 3-4 people so order accordingly. An order of tiramisu is the size of a loaf of bread!
Good food average service for not being busy
Very yummy rigatoni, eggplant parm and shrimp. It was a good lunch!
Tacky atmosphere, but fun. There is a room with the popes head on the table... The waitress brought my soup with my meal. I found that confusing. The italian wedding soup was very good. The meal of shrimp fra diavilo pasta was OK. Not many shrimp.
The food is downright good. I was not big on the tomato sauce, but that is my issue. The server was absolutely wonderful. Be prepared, the size of their dishes even for 2 is enormous.
Our server, Leah was outstanding! She was patient, friendly and diligent. The food portions were larger than I expected for lunch. The eggplant was awesome. My companion ordered a yummy Italian sandwich. Also, deserts were ample size and we took them to go. Thank you again Leah, Happy New Year...and we made it to Red Rocks!
The linguine was kind of soupy which was weird, but overall good.
We went to Bucca after going to the great one in Kansas City. I wrote in our reservations it was a special occasion, waitress never asked or hostess. The food was terrible and the service was not at all the best. I don’t mind spending $200 on a family of four for dinner but not ever again at this place. The food was not very good and no friendly employees on such a special night. Bucca in KC is delicious, Bucca in Denver, well don’t waste your money.
These dude's where slammed, but they admitted that and kept us in the loop. Food was excellent! Service with a smile (little tired!), fun for us on Christmas night!
Major kitchen problems. We arrived for our reservation and they seated us and took drink orders before letting us know the kitchen was taking an hour to get entrees out. We were patient because it was Christmas but they were very ill prepared. After 2 hours we asked for whatever they had to go.
The waiter and manager tried their best and comped the food we ended up taking home which was 1/2 our order but it was not a good experience this year.
Good meal (nothing earth shattering, but reliable) and terrific experience.
It was Christmas, 2pm. The food was really backed up, waited approx. 1.5 hrs for the meal upon ordering. They came out several times to let us know they were sorry for the inconvenience. I thought they could have comp'd us something or at least kept the bread and drinks coming.
When we arrived we were greeted very nicely by the hostess and seated immediately. We walked through the very busy kitchen and saw some delicious food going out. We ordered calamari and to drink a peach Bolini and a Buca Bella. All very tasty. For dinner we ordered Eggplant Parmesan and Shrimp Diavola. Both in the small size and both very delicious. The server took good care of us. We opened Christmas gifts at the table. Shared a glass of cheer. Had a great dinner. We then packed the Cannolis up and took them to the movies. Bravo and yum!
The food was tasteless. The garlic bread with cheese was uncooked. Yuck! The fried calamari was soggy. The shrimp pasta dish was flavorless. And, the Veal Marsala was chewy, tough and too sweet. The only enjoyable plate was a slice of chocolate cake. That we ate.
Went back to Buca after nearly a decade. They have an excellent Italian wine selection. Very good Vegetarian options. Very courteous and friendly staff. All in all it was a great experience along with friends.
My family and me have a great time in Denver thank you . 🤗🤗🤗
I hope back soon. Everything really good
Nice option for Thanksgiving day as we celebrated it on another day. Bucca offered a regular menu plus a traditional turkey day dinner.
We loved this place. The atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic!
Great food but the place was almost empty
Too expensive for the amount of food that you get. $12 drinks and $25 for a small portion to share...Even though the food was good, I would recommend going to Olive Garden.
This is always a happy place. The food is consistently delicious. Even if you don't care for pasta there are great salads and entrees that will satisfy. My favorite dish this trip was the shrimp!
I have been here before, many times, and have received decent 3 star or better food/service. This time however, was different. First, the food. The Caesar salad was old and tasteless, with large pieces of brown rotting romaine inside. The Chicken Saltimbocca was tough and overcooked. They were out of spaghetti on the side, so they offered penne. What Italian place runs out of spaghetti? Service was OK. The AC was on full blast and it was super cold, so no fun there. $50-ish dollars for a bad meal without drinks makes me never want to come back again.
Always good!
I've been to various Buca di Beppo restaurants over the years. The food and service were ok. The prices seemed way too high for the quality of food.
We had to flag down a manager to get a server to take our order. Once we ordered , the service was extremely slow and they forgot some of our drinks. Once we inquired about our drinks, the manager was rude and said that we had received them all and to check in front of us. We asked for more bread and were told serval times that it was coming which it never did. We will not dine here again.
Kitchen was a little slow considering it didn't appear the restaurant was busy. They made one of our shared entrees incorrectly but fixed it.
Table sizes too small to serve family style. We were constantly trying to find enough space and bumping elbows to pass food served in very heavy dishes -- and we ordered small dishes. Can't imagine ordering large sizes. Tongs used were too stiff to use for serving salad and pasta. Food barely adequate, but dessert good. Server charged with too many other tables and never filled beverage glasses throughout meal.
After taking the family to another Italian-type restaurant for a previous graduation party, we decided to try Buca Di Beppo to help foster interaction between everyone, instead of the typical meal spent with most everyone looking at their phones. Wow! Not only was there constant interaction between everyone, but the food was absolutely delicious! The amazing decor, the cozy atmosphere, & the excitement generated by the authentic quality of the food served family-style with exceptional service, kept everyone engaged with real eye-contact and lots of smiles. Many thanks to Buca Di Beppo & our server Daniel, who were very accommodating, friendly & professional. You all helped make our graduation celebration enjoyable & memorable by bringing us closer together as family & friends :)
We were a very large party (14), consisting of young adults, parents and grandparents. Despite having a reservation, we waited over an hour to be seated. About 20 minutes into our wait, we were told that the party at our table had paid, but were not leaving the table. We waited and waited and waited, and fortunately the elderly persons in our party were able to stand for that long. I was furious, because, even after the preceding party departed, our table sat un-cleared and un-set for another 20 minutes.
Once we sat down and got menus, the waiter took great care of our table, bringing drinks, answering questions about the menu, taking our food order, and bringing the dishes out as soon as they came up. What started out as a DISASTER ended with happy, full-bellied diners. Buca di Beppo does family style Italian just right, and, with the exception of the Veal Saltimboca, which was dry and greasy and meagerly portioned, everything we ordered was well prepared from high quality ingredients, and tasted delicious. I nevertheless would have difficulty recommending the restaurant to others because the failure to seat our party--or at least provide something to eat and/or drink during the hour plus wait. The manager did ultimately deduct $40 from our check, but for a dinner party of 14, this was small change.
Disappointed. I've been to the Honolulu and Aspen Grove locations and really liked it. This time, the pasta was overcooked. Ordered a seafood linguine and it was tasteless. The chicken saltimbocca chicken was tough. The dessert was the brownie with 6 scoops of ice cream which was to be served in a large martini shaped glass. They were out of the glass and plated instead. The ice cream was so melted it was like soup within minutes. Terrible. Never again.
We had a great time and an amazing dinner! We got there early and they were nice enough to seat us early. Thank you!
I went to Buca di Beppo for a nice Italian meal on a Sunday evening. I love the decor and ambiance and the employees are (usually) friendly. The food, except for the appetizer, was excellent. We ordered the small mussels bianca but it was overly salty and had very little flavor otherwise. I've had the mussels at Buca before, they're always delicious, but this was the first time they've been bad. Other than that though, the baked rigatoni and caesar salad were excellent!
Our server was attentive, but he struggled with balancing multiple tables in two different sections, so after we were initially seated, his efficiency wasn't the greatest (though he was VERY friendly). We had two main problems, first, our appetizer was delivered about twoish minutes before our entree, it's hard to eat both at the same time. Also, we needed dinner plates, but he was rushing in and out of the section so much that we couldn't get his attention. Finally, when he was in the little server room entering something on the computer, I walked over and asked for more water and dinner plates, but that was after having to wait several minutes for him to slow down enough to stop. Of course, that meant our entree was less than warm when we started eating, though it gave us time to (attempt) to eat the salty mussels. My only other concern was just before the section started filling up, our server was rushing around setting the table by slamming salad plates on top of dinner plates, he was trying to be efficient, but it was really loud - I'm honestly surprised none of the dishes broke!
Overall, the meal was fine, but I recommend trying to sit in a section with a more experienced server.
6 of us were there for a birthday lunch and it was most enjoyable. We even had a birthday cake which was was surprisingly very good. Our waiter, John, was excellent. The only negative was the notice we received from Open Table that we had not shown up for our reservation. They evidently cleared that up with Buca. All in all a very good experience.
I wish BEFORE they seated us and took our order, they would have told us the kitchen was backed up. We had 2 very hungry 6-year olds and they explained the kitchen was backed up because of a 60-person party and a 90-person to go order. It took forever to just get bread and salads. Then when we were still eating the salads all the food came. The manager did voluntarily comp the bread and salad which was nice. We all left full but we were there for 2 hours, which was unplanned because of the 2 children we had.
We had a party of 7 on a Saturday night. Our waiter was fun, efficient and very attentive. The food was very good and it was served very quickly. We will be returning.
I made our reservation for my mom's birthday dinner a month in advance so I expected a better location for our large party. After walking us through their (not dirty, but not particularly clean either) kitchen which was so odd, they seated us at a table where we were jammed into the back corner of a very small room right next to the kitchen. It must have been 85 degrees in that room. It was so hot and unpleasant! We definitely won't be back. Im so disappointed as this was a special gathering with family we don't see very often.
Overall a good experience. We went with a party of 6 and waited in the front reception area for 10 minutes with the hostess saying barely any words to us at all. Luckily our waiter, Brandon, was very attentive and made up for her lack of hostessing.
Probably among the top 5 worst dining experiences. We used to enjoy their restaurants downtown Denver and Aspen but both restaurants closed. We drove 60 miles round trip on our anniversary to have an early dinner. We arrived at 3:30 and still did not have our appetizer at 4:15. Our enter was dry and over cooked. The only time we saw our waiter was when he brought the check. He did not even ask if we wanted dessert. We couldn't get out fast enough and we will not return.
Nice place. Food was good. Value, compared to classical Italian restaurants, was okay. Salad was excellent. Nothing special about sauces or entrée items, but the food was good and the family enjoyed. I would go back, but be more careful with the orders as the portions are huge.
Had a great time with friends in the fun environment , but the pasta was underwhelming. It seemed like they had really skimped on the sauce and both the alfredo and the baked ziti were kind of bland. I was glad we'd ordered an appetizer because I barely touched the actual dinner. Not super for how expensive it was.
