Buca di Beppo - Arrowhead Ratings and Reviews
This is one of the better Buca locations. Food portions are large and the value is pretty reasonable. Although some items, like the meatballs, are completely overpriced and not that good , so a little bit of a disappointment. I've been here a few times now and the service has been both good and bad. They tend to get busy with large parties and forget about the smaller tables. This has always been a problem with this chain. Overall we still like the food and will continue to go there.
Wow, extremely expensive for what you get. Chicken Limone was good but stale presentation on the plate; the Fettuccine Supremo was dry and sticky. Service and atmosphere was excellent, but could not make up for the quality of food. Would not recommend or go back.
It's been awhile since I have been to this restaurant, but yea, won't be coming back. The food was below subpar. First off, the bread was not cooked all the way. I look good, but in the center was nothing but dough. My husband had the margarita pizza, it was so bland, no flavor. I had the shrimp parting, and the noodles were sitting on my bowl with massive water. The shrimp was small and hardly any, probably precooked shrimp because they were so small. The spinach and cherry tomatoes were so soggy. I mean it looked good, but it tasted like was eating instant noodles, so bland, over cooked and just soggy. I don't know what happen to them, because years ago it used to be good and with big portions. But, they cut down on quality, which is a big shame for the price you pay. I will look for another Italian restaurant.
Was disappointed in the food we ordered. Veal Marsala was soggy and tasteless for the most part. The brussels sprouts side dish was nice with the prociuttto (sp) . There were four of us sharing the large portion of veal. It was adequate except it did not come with a side dish so in addition to the brussels sprouts we order a side of fettucini alfredo. Very bland. This restaurant did have a lot of Italian memorabilia to look at but other than that I don't think I would put this on my list to visit again.
Buca is a standard for family style large portions dinners. Today we decided to come for their lunch fare. I got the feeling this is the off shift and not very accomplished. We ordered the apple salad with grilled chicken. To my disappointment, the chicken is cold and from the dryness was cooked sometime in the previous few days. The salad dressing was good and the bread was fresh. The ambiance was disturbed by the TV in the bar playing an episode of Cops. It is difficult to enjoy a quiet lunch with sirens continually blaring from the TV. Even so, it is still a great value and a decent meal.
We love Buca Di Beppo normally . Their food is always amazing and we love the fun atmosphere. Our waiter Garrett was phenomenal. He treated us like family he had invited into his home for a meal. Honestly, he could teach most other waiters we have ever had a thing or two.
Thank you for making my Mother's Day fun! Made a reservation for 7 people and even though there was a party for 25 ahead of us...we were seated pretty close to the time we wanted.
The only downside was there was no pizza when it came time for us to order, so some people in our party had to put their heads together to figure out what else they would like to eat. Other than that, the food was outstanding as usual. My husband and I ordered the Chicken Marsala and the roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Wow! SO good!
Can't speak for the others, but my husband and I will definitely return.
For the fist time in may visits to Buca, I was very disappointed. Understanding it was Mother's Day, so it was busier than normal, there were still issues I believe were avoidable. Multiple staff members were standing around the check in area, just goofing off while people lined up waiting for seating. We had a reservation but waited an additional 15-20 minutes as people poured out of the restaurant and no one was being taken back to be seated. Another group of four that checked in after us and had a later reservation time were seated before us. Once we were seated we observed many open tables, making us wonder why the long wait. They should have been staffed appropriately and should have managers on duty that make sure the staff is working as expected and putting the customer first.
Good was great, service was excellent, but noise level was high ( crying children) it was hard to carry on a conversation. I love children but it's hard to enjoy dinner or lunch with crying children. Maybe this establishment can ask people of they prefer a quiet table verses a noisey one. Thank you!
This was our first visit, not expecting family style dinners. We ordered the caprese salad which was very good. We also ordered cannelloni omitting the alfredo sauce. The marinara sauce was very good, not too spicy. The cheese mixture did need some spices, parsley, oregano. A nice choice of wines were available.
This is our third and LAST time booking Christmas dinner here. Our experience this year was unacceptable. Management should be ashamed of themselves for overbooking and under performing especially on Christmas Day when this is supposed to be such a happy time for people. When you first walk in there is at least 50 people waiting to be seated for their reservation time that has long past. There is also another 20 plus people waiting for their take out orders. The kitchen can not keep up with the out put. But management is cashing in and won't turn anyone away despite the restaurants reputation. The girl checking people in tries to apologize saying their computer system is down so they are doing reservations based on a computer printout. Had I not been there the last 3 years, I may have believed her. But this is the same chaos and complete disarray I have seen the previous years.
We are finally seated an hour after our reservation time. Server takes our drink order. Drinks arrive & she suggests we order an appetizer as the kitchen is running behind and food is taking 1-1/2 hours to arrive. So we order a salad and our main entrees. The salad arrives and we start eating it. The room we are sitting in is now packed. Time is ticking by, 45 min, 50 min, then people behind us get their food but were seated after us. The waitress comes over and says I am going to check on your order because yours should have come out first. She's gone for a good 10 minutes. She comes back and says the kitchen is bringing yours right up. Another table who arrived half an hour AFTER us is now eating. Still no food for us after 1 hour 15 minutes. The waitress is now avoiding us. I have to ask another server to get our server. Our waitress finally comes over, near tears and says our order was never put in and will still be awhile. But says we can leave if we want. She talked to manager who decided we didn't have to pay for what we consumed. The manager should have been apologizing NOT her!
