Buca di Beppo - Alpharetta Ratings and Reviews
ENJOYED OUR MEAL. The service was good and there was an over abundance of delicious food. We were celebrating a birthday and servers presented dessert with a song and a candle - very nice touch. A little on the expensive side but worth the experience and leftovers the next day were delicious as well.
This really is just a mass produced Italian place. The food is marginal and the waitress we had was pretty gruff. I had to take my food home because the portions are so large and discovered that the meatballs in my meal were raw on the inside. Being pregnant, I was pretty angry about that. Aside from that, the ladies room was gross and in major need of cleaning and repairs. Would definitely not recommend or return.
The staff and waitresses were very friendly. We enjoyed our salads and appetizer, however, neither of us enjoyed our entree at all. My husband had pizza and I had chicken marsala. We won't even eat the leftovers. As much as we liked the salad and app, we will not be returning.
We had a party of 12 for a graduation. Myself and another friend arrived early to be seated before my graduate and her guest arrived. We found ourselves completely disregarded for 30-40 minutes. I had to call the restaurant from within the restaurant to get someone to come take drink orders for my fro md and I. Honestly, the service didn't get much better throughout the evening. Very disappointed in that regard. The food was average but normally it's excellent.
Chicken parm was great. Baked ziti was bland (although my Dau had been there on a separate occasion and said the ziti tasted much better then). Apple waltnut salad was delicious. Tiramisu was terrible -- too dense, bland and cheesy. Service was slow, but the place was full for Mother's Day. We had reservations through open table, but they didn't seat us for another 40 mins.
Went on a very busy Mother's Day, the staff did a excellent job getting people seated and apologizing for the wait. Our waiter was great and the kitchen and quality was excellent and fast. I would definitely want to go back when it is a little quieter and less crazy, but like I said, it was great given the circumstances!
Crazy ambiance. Walnut apple salad was superb. Eggplant was tasty and sufficient. Fettuccine alfredo was a bit dry. Needed more sauce. Asked for extra, got it. Dessert sundae was spectacular. We over-ordered. 4 of us could have easily shared the smaller portion options. Wonderful time. Only downside, slight musty smell. But then, it is in the humid south.
Made reservations for 7:45pm for 11 people- told we'd be seated in 10-15mins and ended up being seated at 8:35pm. Got to the table and the chairs are dirty. Some of the plates we were given were dirty. We were given 2 baskets of bread and only 3 small plates of olive oil/vinegar for ELEVEN people. No refills on drinks until we were done with our food and about to leave. One of the entrees ordered didn't come out (no apology from the server) and so basically my parents had to watch every one else eat while their pizza was "cooking in the oven". Addressed this with manager who apologized for being short-staffed and busy with another large party. Bottom line- will not be back.
Honestly was not the greatest experience. The food was ok at best - marinara sauce was really good but everything else was nothing special. Garlic mozzarella bread was pretty bad - stale bread and garlic out of a jar. Service was pretty awful too. People would disappear for chunks at a time and then you'd have 2 or 3 waitresses check on you all at the same time. Food which is meant to be family style was brought to the table randomly. Won't be returning.
I generally am very happy with this restaurant. But this visit was not the case. Service was not very good at all. I didn't get my drink re-filled until we were boxing up our left overs at the end. I tried to use a couple of my $10 gift cards from a Christmas promo and was told I couldn't use them and a coupon. Overall very disappointed with the visit. Not normal for this location so will probably give them another chance. Maybe our server was new but not sure. Either way, just deserve better overall service. Forgot to mention, nobody was at the front desk when we came in either.
Update - 4/18/17 - I sent at least 3 emails to them in reference to my visit. Not one response. Completely disappointed in the customer service. Was looking for nothing more than an apology and was ignored.
Was expecting more based on experiences at other locations of this restaurant. Food was only fair, and not the value I expected. We had 6 people and this place is a good one for groups, but for the money we spent we could have gone to a white table cloth Italian place and been happier.
It was my daughters birthday and we took her and a few friends to dinner. It was New Year's Eve. We sat down and ordered drinks. I ordered a 9 oz wine and was served a 6 oz. they brought plates, and the plates were dirty. They brought silverware, and the silverware was dirty. We asked for the garlic bread with the main meal, and they brought it before the appetizers. The first appetizer came out, and 10 minutes later the second came out. A minute after the second appetizer was dropped, they brought the main meal. No one cleaned up the appetizer plates. The dishes were correct, but they brought the wrong size. We have eaten here before, and my daughter was especially looking forward to the happy birthday song. They knew it was her birthday, but never did the song. The food was good, but the experience was awful.
