Bubbles & Birds
This was the best dining experience I have ever had in Lodi with Wine and Roses being a close second. The food is excellent...creative and perfectly portioned and prepared. Every bit of the service was superb, and we were lucky enough to have sommelier Wes’s full attention for most of the evening. He was knowledgeable about different wines from around the world, helping us pick out characteristics of each wine and pairing them with each course. The ambiance is New Orleans inspired and can be both elegant and casual at the same time. This location tends to always be rotating businesses, but we will definitely do our part in not allowing this place to go. Definitely check it out!
We had a wonderful time! Their internet was down but they were able to roll with it and make everything work. The food was great. The bubbles flight was fun. Will definitely return when I’m in town.
Disappointing. Read a lot of reviews and the locals raved about this restaurant. There were four in my party. Everyone's birds were dry and needed seasonings. Deviled eggs were also bland. We where seated at a small round table for four. It was too cramped. Wish the owners well. Won't be back.
Unique concept. Great food and nice wine list
Wait staff were great. Noisy as every eatery in this location has been. Cute new touch showing old tv shows on the wall ahla Foreign Cinema in SF.
Great food and service. Definitely stay for dessert!
Our first experience at Bubbles and Birds was wonderful. Our servers were very attentive. There were 5 of us so we decided to share an appetizer and 3 entrees. Everything was delicious. We even split one of the chocolate cake desserts which was decadent. We will definitely return.
Love it! Atmosphere is fun with a touch of New Orleans! Have been waiting for a good champagne bar with knowledgeable staff and now I’ve found it! Food is great too. The gnocchi are to die for.
We were a bit disappointed. The people were super friendly and the service was excellent but the food was not very good and way over priced. I had the eggs Benedict and the waffle part was very dry, the turkey “ham” was like something you would get in the cheap deli section of the grocery store next to the bologna. The poached egg was terribly undercook and the sauce on top had no flavor at all and was really just a drizzle. And to top it off the whole thing was cold. My husband got the chicken and waffles for 29.00. He got a breast, thigh and leg that wasn’t any better than a fast food restaurant and his waffle was so hard and dry he couldn’t cut it. The grilled watermelon salad was about 3 bites. There were four of us and two little ones and the bill was 170.00. We will not be going there again! So sad because the people were so nice.
The only thing that I think can use improvement is for the wait staff to ask if the customer needs salt/pepper or syrup prior to bringing the food. You always have to wait a long period for those items if you don't remember to get it beforehand.
Elegantly cozy with plush chairs. Our waitress was very accommodating to one of our vegetarian friends. The chef made scrambled eggs that weren’t on the menu. Great experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The service was great, we spoke with the owner/som about the bubbles and settled on some really delicious champagne, sparkling and cava tastes.
I had the game hen, my husband had the chicken breast. We shared a beet salad which was certainly intended for 2.
I hope they are able to incorporate some additional and/or seasonal dishes as time goes on.
It was fun, yummy and different.
Pleasant environment. Food good but chicken somewhat greasy and under seasoned. Staff pleasant but needed to ask for silverware and napkins. Has potential but need to work out a few kinks.
Wine menu is poorly paired with the food choices. Our orders were taken and salads came out on time, then a long wait for entrees. When they did come out, two were cold, and the last one out showed up about five minutes after the other entrees. Food was good, but odd sides with the main course. Great location, so I hope they can get it together and succeed, but questionable after this visit. They did comp the two cold entrees
Get vibe and food- however, they seemed to be a little short staffed so the service was quite slow. Overall a very enjoyable brunch!
Brunch was amazing! Definitely an adult brunch, wouldn’t bring the baby
Awesome meal. Great bubbly
Food was very good. The menu isn’t huge but I think they had good choices. We were there for brunch and really enjoyed it
Great food! Enjoyed the ambience, service and flavors. The cocktails took too long, so next time I would just order wine. We will be back often.
Consistently personable service coupled with delicious courses. Wonderful French ambience.
The best thing that's came to Downtown Lodi. Food is Delicious, and the service is outstanding. Great wine/bubbles list. Must try the Airline Chicken. You won't be disappointed.
We had brunch. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The have a great selection of champagne, wine, drinks and beers. We didn’t have dinner but it’s a little higher priced.
Everything was excellent!! From the service to the ambiance... we totally enjoyed our experience. The food was top-notch! Can’t wait to come back again
Didn’t expect it to be this good. My friends and I don’t drink but thought this place would be ok for dinner. It was fabulous. Had pasta, chicken and salads, which we enjoyed immensely, followed by homemade desserts which were worth every calorie. Loved the wait staff, particularly our bright pink haired waiter. He was a kick!
A great addition to the Lodi dining scene. Good food and service.
Great food, good service, nice to have a place like this in town.
Waiter and sommelier were amazing. We enjoyed our food and the ambiance.
Food has been so good, but i must say i’ve only had the chicken, and waffles. Never had the urge to try “Chicken and Waffles” but am so glad i did!! You owe it to yourself to give it a shot, you will not be disappointed!! Reservations are e-z to book on Open Table. The seating can be frustrating if you are seated towards the back of dinning are because you literally sit a whole 1 foot away from the table next to you. I’m really looking forward to exploring the rest of their menu with my wife again in the near future!!
Great experience as usual! Food and wine were fantastic.
Excellent new restaurant in downtown Lodi. Very cool atmosphere. Great for dinner or just appetizers. I really liked the comfortable sofa and table gathering areas. Food was spot on. We had quail and chicken, both delicious. Salads are large and can easily be shared with your partner. The quail came with deep fried polenta, which was delicious. I would have loved to have it as a appetizer.
Great birthday dinner at Bubbles & Birds. The food was well seasoned and creatively prepared. We enjoyed the food and our wine/champagne as well.
Great spot. The duck breast was spot on. My friends both had the quail that came with some awesome fried polenta.
Despite the menu being all fowl, there were many offerings. They were out of gnocchi but I can’t wait to go back and try it. We got to talk to the chef, it’s homemade! Salads were beautiful, fresh and delicious. Fried chicken and fingerling potatoes were outstanding. Desserts were delicious! Soft lighting, great for date night!
Food and service was fabulous! Definitely can’t waot to go back!
We thought it was too dark need to open the drapes, besides that it was great.
The food was amazing with a great wine list to pair yourfood!!
Great, personable service. Beautiful atmosphere. Sommelier was very knowlwgamke
Very cool place to eat. Much different than your ordinary restaurant in Lodi. Tons of drink options and some unique food options. Food was really good with a cool presentation. It was very tasty duck and chicken. Desserts were also amazing. Only negative would be that the food took awhile to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait. Will be going back for sure.
This place was so adorable lightly decorated it was perfect lighting the floors are stained teal concrete and it’s so beautiful. Everything we ordered was amazing and perfect I wish they made the chicken Cracklin’s an appetizer. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful pairing wine each of our courses. It was a delightful experience. We also snooped to round on the brunch menu and we can’t wait to make it to brunch!!
Wanted to give the place a try after hearing great things. We were not disappointed. Great ambience and delicious food
