Bua Thai Ramen & Robata Grill
The food was amazing and the service. It is a bit loud with the music but great atmosphere.
Great pad Tai, good service. But very noisy.
Excellent food, friendly staff.
Fourth time dining here and absolutely love it! Amazing (strong) drinks, and the best variety of dishes.
Food was really good! Drinks were extremely watery. Ours at least. My lychee juice tasted like 100% water. And on top of that tons of ice added. Pina colada also very watered down. Expected more from that especially given its price point. :( place was a bit dirty but could be because it was so late in the evening. Overall maybe great for takeaway food or a quick stop by for lunch!
Great food, quick service!!
Everything was amazing! Cant wait to go back!
Amazing. Todd was incredible and made us laugh!! Sooooo goood!!
Even with a reservation the wait was long. Must be a popular place. But the time to get our food to our table was pretty fast.
Delicious and loved our waitress. Pad Thai could have been tAstier but I loved the apps and fried rice!
The food was great. Very flavorful and just the right amount of spice. Our waitress was very attentive. The only issue we had was our reservations and seating. Obviously the place is very busy but we made reservations for 8 and didn’t get seated until about past 9. It’s as if our reservations didn’t really count for anything. We had to wait in line anyways and waited over an hour.
I booked a 7:45pm reservation. I go to Bua quite often and absolutely love it, but on this night they completely messed up the reservations. There were multiple parties who had reservations booked waiting for 30mins - an hour. They barely asked for our name and kept ignoring us. We did not sit until 8:30, and were not offered anything to make up for it. A few groups with an 8pm reservation actually sat before us too. I love this place, and the food made up for it overall, but it was a really bad experience to stand there waiting for 45 minutes when I had a reservation and arrived early, and was not given an apology or anything on the house to make up for the issue.
We were seated right away, and the waiter was friendly. The food and drinks came out very fast and there were no complaints. The only thing I would say negatively is that it was extremely crowded, different parties of people were seated less than 6ft apart.
Everything was great with the food but they are not really practicing social distancing inside and there were definitely at more than 50% capacity
Date night on Easter Sunday!
It’s above average thai food with good serving sizes and decent prices for upper east side dining.
Was probably my 3rd time dining there and it was every bit as good as the other times.
The food was delicious but the tables were kinda close especially for covid times
Food is not bad.
Service is not great. Server sent the wrong drinks to us like 5 times.
If you want to go for drinks I highly recommend as far as food it was below average I’ve had better Thai food ambience is great
Great food, music was on, waitress was super friendly, got sat right when my reservation was! Very Happy.
Came here for a birthday gathering with my friends. Food was absolutely delicious! Always a great spot to have dinner!
Great food and drinking experience. But the service was meh. Despite having a reservation and being on time for that reservation, my party and I (of two people) had to wait about 15 mins to be seated. They seemed a bit understaffed, as we had to flag our server down, who was also the hostess of the restaurant. Make sure you try the green curry ramen and dumplings 🥟
Food was delicious and drinks were very good.
Amazing and beautiful
The place is bigger than you think and the food is to die for. We mainly got apps but also got the clay pot fried rice. It was really
so good I only took away one star because the place was crowded when I went and did not seem to be following covid guidelines. It made me very nervous.
The food here is absolutely incredible every dish was AMAZING and the service was 10/10!!! Highly recommend!!
Manhattan, starting to open from a limited occupancy policy sees people anxiously dining out to recapture the not so olden days of Saturday get together.
Alas we check in for our reservation and was promptly seated to our table. Barely have we uncoated when our anxious waitress comes and asks for our choices, drinks and appetizers. The place is loud, music, conversations, kitchen noise overlapping. We ordered and got our food, it was tasty, nicely prepared and presented. The waitress stops by 5 times in a span of 45 minutes, do we think it’s a bit too much unless she wants us to unhinge our jaws and swallow the food to expedite the turnover of the customers? Maybe so. The price for 3 people averaged $50/p, plus tip. Bit too expensive for similar type food in mid-manhattan.
Friday date night... food and drinks were sooooo delicious. My only concern would be how they exceeded the 25% capacity for indoor dining. Every table was seated, restaurant was crowded, no social distancing at all. My anxiety level was at 100! I’ll come back for the food and drinks but def earlier in the day on a weekday in hopes it would not be so crowded.
The drinks were decent no complaints on that. However my appetizer the grilled chicken wings-lacked flavor. My main course was The pineapple fried rice with giant shrimp( two shrimps with the head on) I thought I should’ve gotten more for the price. The main course itself was OK . my boyfriend did not enjoy his main course bua thai noodle soup.
It was great last minute valentines date service was amazing drinks was amazing everything about this place was great
I was so disappointed in my experience. It looks so good online. Me and my partner went for Valentine’s Day and we were the first people in our area seated. We watched our section fill up and everyone around us receive their entrees while we had not gotten ours, our waitress never came to check on us, and when we finally got our food it was cold! Imagine paying $80 for appetizers, cold fish and cold duck :(
Great service, comfortable seating, COVID-19 safety procedures are in place, vast menu, me and my wife had 6 appetizers, main courses and 4 desserts, all were delicious and full of flavor, beautifully presented, service was courteous and very fast!
I recommend this restaurant, and will come again!
Myself and my Youngest Daughter Bri who’s home from Cornell to go out and have some really good ramen & Thai close to home .
And we found Bua Thai on open table. Amazing just amazing the ramen was sooooooooo good. But the steamed dumplings were just completely out of control. Delicious. And the lobster buns with a slice of avocado and spicy Thai Mayo was like eating lobster in a pillow. We just found a new Thai restaurant for sure
Got the spicy miso soup and the phucket noodles, both very good! Big portions as well and good prices. Will be back. Also got a free dessert! Diesél out.
Mixed results at Bua Thai. For apps, we shared the grilled corn (very good) and the miso eggplant (under-cooked). I had a pork, crab meat spinach noodle dish ... interesting but not even close to amazing. My girlfriend had the crispy duck which was mostly fat and really not edible. We tried something new but will retreat to our tried and true favorites, and not return here.
Celebrating my sister’s birthday
Amazing food and ambiance. Got free dessert with yelp check-in
They did not accept an open table voucher
My husband and I dined at your restaurant on Saturday, January 18, 2020. We started with an order of dumplings and an order of tuna tartar. We ate the dumpling first, and when we started on the tuna tartar, we found a clump of hair in the food. We were sitting in clear view of the kitchen, and I could see the people handling the food: hair down, wearing a fedora hat, and no hair nets, which is likely why this happened. We notified our waiter of our food finding. My husband and I both lost our appetite and asked for the check, which were told would not include the tartar. Upon receiving the check for the dumplings ($10), I pulled out my credit card and was then told I had to pay cash since there was a $15 card minimum. As you can imagine, I was not happy about this, seeing as we were only spending so little due to the hair mishap. Neither my husband or I had any cash. After some conversations, we were finally told we could pay our $10 bill with our card.
Not only was I very unhappy with finding a clump of hair in my food, and the cash only under $15 situation, I was also quite bothered that our bill, being a mere $10, was not complimentary given the situation.
My husband and I, along with others we speak to, will not be dining at this restaurant again.
Service was excellent, prices were very fair. The starters were amazing especially the soup. The main courses cannot be faulted but they did not have any wow or amazing factor, they were high quality and tasty. Seating was good, ambiance was missing, background music was fine but not in keeping with ambiance. I would absolutely recommend to a friend for a 4 star experience.
Heerlijk gegeten!!! We waren met een groep van 10 en iedereen heeft genoten
