Overall a nice place. Must say the brunch was a bit disappointing to me. Everything tasted alright and I was pleased but didn’t feel like I enjoyed it that much. The omelette had all the fillings on the side instead on inside the omelette. I plan to revisit soon and try more of the main dishes and cocktails.
Delectable food, Belgium / European bistro inspired.
Great addition to the Fairfield County restaurant scene.
We have always enjoyed going to Bruxelles Brasserie. Great food and drinks.
Excellent food! Try the Cauliflower. Definitely a must visit!!
Inappropriate music for evening dining took away from otherwise ok meal Pate was dry and not very flavorful Pork Schnitzel was plentiful and otherwise ok.
Brunch was excellent
Crepe was very good
Apple strudel to die for!
Phenomenal food.... Never had a bad meal here. Wait staff very friendly. This continues to be our favorite restaurant for over a year.
I’ve eaten here twice now and the food and service is great!
We always love Bruxelles. The food is delicious and different from standard fare. The cocktails are great, and the desserts are always a crowd-pleaser. This was our 3rd time dining at Bruxelles, and we can't wait for the next time!
Went for Sunday brunch. Menu selection was large and the food was delicious!! Accommodated mild change requests / substitutions without issue. Only challenge was slow service - a full 60 minutes to get our food . Our server was lovely - and appeared to be the only server in the place managing both indoor and outdoor seating. Given the challenging time for restaurants, I didn’t let this impact the overall score…but it’s something to keep in mind.
The food was mediocre at best: 1. crabcake special - crabcake itself was pretty good but came with a 'salad' consisting of lettuce and mandarines, without any detectable dressing; all three having nothing to do with each other, in fact on a direct collision course with each other. 2. branzini - was oversalted as was its side dish with roasted tomatoes.
Beer is excellent though
Everything served was delicious. Standouts were the roasted cauliflower app and the lamb entree... but honestly there was nothing we weren't very happy with. Cool space and great service!
Quick dinner for four - food was good, service was great!
Overall, dinner here was just a wonderful experience. The food was indeed, very excellent. First we shared Copps Oysters, fabulous, of course, along with a salad consisting of burrata, Black Mission Figs, arugula and balsamic dressing. OMG, so good! My wife had a steak which was just marvelous, perfectly done. I had the Branzino which I really like. This was very good, but as I dug into the vegetable bed under the fish I found it rather salty. I ate and loved the entire piece of fish...just did not finish all the veggies. I wanted a glass wine that would go well with branzino...crisp, clean, etc., and our waitress suggested a Sancerre. Perfect!! In terms of the ambience, had we sat in the front of the house, as they say, it would not have been a perfect evening. It was very noisy. But were seated in a separate area, many fewer people. Music in this area was a bit louts but the volume was turned down as soon as we asked. All in all, a very delightful evening, a delicious dinner and excellent service. We highly recommend it.
Great little spot. Friends have suggested for quite some time, but we hadn’t gone until last night. Def quiet as it was a Monday, but with that said, there was still a nice vibe.
The food was great - perfect size portions and really terrific menu choices and cocktail list.
Wine list was a bit off- def a big markup on the wines that were very marginal, but the cocktails are delicious. A much better option.
And Ashley, our server, was the best!
Will definitely go back again!
This is one of our favorites. We’ve probably had everything on the menu, and each dish is delicious. Thank you, chef Roland!
Drastic price increase since last week. Used to be ok value, not any more.
We each ordered an entree and shared everything. Each dish was amazing.
The menu options are creative, perfectly prepared, visually gorgeous, and absolutely delicious. The waitstaff are efficient and personable. If you are in the vicinity, you owe it to yourself to dine at Bruxelles. If you like dessert, by all means save room for the exquisite offerings.
Really good food and nice staff!
No complaints. Definitely would recommend for a low key brunch setting
Terrific food! Highly recommend, service was wonderful will definitely go again
It was fine. Wouldn’t go back. Honestly disappointed at the quality of the food. Pretty over seasoned and over salted. Compared to the reviews that I read, I was disappointed. Gin bowls were appealing but wine list was not compelling. Fava beans and asparagus in a pasta in August didn’t really indicate seasonality of ingredients. TL;DR I don’t think this restaurant delivers for high standards. But service was pleasant!
Food was outstanding per usual. Roland and Angela do not disappoint
Our first visit was brunch, and everything was wonderful. Biggest order of mussels we'd ever seen, and included toasted bread, fries and two dipping sauces. The avocado toast was spectacular, with a perfect poached egg on top and a side of blistered tomatoes in a delicious balsamic glaze (in a sweet copper pot). The crepe was also very good, as were the drinks! Nice ambiance (we sat at the bar....nice music) and our bartender/waiter was great, too. We cannot wait to go back.
Always impeccable service, amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and a delightful evening!
Wonderful experience. Fresh, delicious oysters and clams on Tuesday $1 night. Great value, with personable and friendly staff. Entrees were tasty with great sauces. We’ll certainly return as it’s in a great location with parking available.
Great place for brunch. Sat outside and enjoyed people watching. Food was high quality. Eggs Benedict was on point with homemade potato/scallion tots. Peach Bellini was yummy.
Amazing. Loved every thing we ordered and the service was excellent.
Thank you for helping me celebrate.
Great Chef wonderful
The grilled chicken and beef Bourguignon were fantastic but the swordfish special was too salty. We loved the Delirium beer.
The best restaurant in Norwalk!!
We've already been back 3 times! The food is amazing. We can't recommend it too highly!
My husband and I had such a wonderful first time experience we dined at the restaurant two weekends in a row. Food - service - cocktails - selection - are all impeccable. We highly recommend Bruxelles for anyone with a discerning palette.
Food and service was awesome but the noise from the street made it a not so pleasant experience with motorcycles and other noisy vehicles driving by. Maybe we will return when it’s too cold for the windows to be open. A shame because the food is soooo good!!
This is our new favorite place to have dinner! The drinks, appetizers, meals and dessert were delicious. The tuna tartare and lamb were my personal favorites, we plan on going back!
Unsure as to why it’s become so badly managed and the quality levels plummeted. Have come here twice before and the food, drinks and service was absolutely outstanding
This time the host put my reservation and I down at a two person table in between groups of people when the whole other dining room contained two occupied tables. Still we received our table in the overcrowded understaffed dining room. The beverages looked as if they were waiting to be delivered given the ice was already melted and the beer that was purchased was sweating horribly. The food seemed so rushed to the point that our appetizer of “burrata” which had also arrived halfway through being done with my dinner - was watered down cheese balls(supposed to be fresh mozzarella), the gnocchi we had ordered was limp and falling apart, the burger tasted as if it had a mixture of bbq sauces on it and the bacon was charred. 10/10 would not recommend until they have better waitstaff, polite and considerate hostesses & the ingredient quality needs to be improved overall. Altogether, I do not plan on getting a reservation here again.
The restaurant has expanded and the new room has terrible acoustics, no insulation, and loud music. Overall it is very unpleasant and is impossible to relax because shouting is necessary in order to be heard. Once we moved to the bar area everything felt better and it was then possible to relax and look forward to a good dining experience. The fish and chips were fried perfectly, the beef bourguignon rich and delicious and the mussels excellent in a great wine sauce. Service was attentive and made sure we had a good time.
Our 1 st time
Great server and bar tender
We’ll be back!
Very nice meal!
