   I was introduced to Brux House for the first time on the occasion of my 68th birthday. In attendence were my oldest Son , Sean , his partner, Helena , Anthony and Sofia , 11 and 9 , Uncle John , and myself. I was comfortable and relaxed. Our Server, Jes, was knowledgible and personable- so important when age differences are a challenge to accommodation. THe App's were served hot and delicious, the drinks well received and promptly described by Jes as I ordered a "Flyte" of Craft Beers. The wine was perfect for the occasion. I had the Rainbow Trout the children the Steak and all was gratefully received. All in all I became a convert to the Locke Street scene but especially the Brux House establishment.    Awesome as always. Kevin's cocktail creations are second to none, and the tap list is always great. The food is amazing; there's lots to choose from (from seafood, to red meats, to veg dishes) without having an out-of-control menu.

   Over the top beer craft beer list along with a solid menu. A can't miss for a business lunch.

   Great food, amazing beer list. Our server was friendly and helpful, but it took at least 25 minutes for us to get a drink, and again, another 25 minutes for the bill. I had ordered a coffee so the wait would have been okay if it had come but it just never arrived. I wasn't charged for it and was ready to go at that point so not that big of a deal. I wonder if this was due to the fact that we were seated upstairs and/or that our server had a large party to handle (with us just as a table of two). We will return due to food and beer but likely request to sit downstairs.

   Slow to get drinks. About 15 minutes. Had to send cauliflower back but they made it right. Delicious chicken sandwich and fisherman's pie.

   Beer and service was fabulous. The specials (Brussels sprouts, tuna carpaccio) were delicious! The only downside was that about 50% of the mussels we ordered to share were very sandy. It definitely took us out of it, and for the price, I expected better. We'll go again, but not order the mussels.

   We had the mussels and frites, large portion and the ribs with pickled beets and micro greens both were very good. For drinks they have serve a lot of craft beers including flights and Kevin makes one of the best French 75's around.

    Second visit and again it did not disappoint! The beer flights are great, and the mixed drinks are creative and delicious. I wish the wine was a more reasonable price though! We both got the trout and it was fabulous! We strayed from tradition and got the pretzel sticks with beer fondue for dessert and were super pleased with our choice. I couldn't afford to go here regularly, but for a special occasion, it's so worth it!!!
