Fantastic food and service. The ox check bourginon melted in your mouth and my husband said the roast beef was the best he had ever had. Service was superb. We booked for 1:15pm for pre theatre food (3pm show) and had plenty of time. Will definitely go back and recommend to my friends.

Pre-theatre dining on the set menu, which is good value for food, the wine is where they make their money back.
We had a lovely and knowledgeable waiter, made good recommendations for wines with the food.
Food service was a bit slow though, left us running for our show, same happened to another couple sat near us.

Great location if your going to any of the local shows. Leave plenty of time to enjoy your meal as everyone leaves at the same time generally for shows. Would definitely return again even if not going to a show, after bar was a good respite from the theatre cramped feeling!

Excellent food & service at very competitive prices for London.
It would be nice if something could be done about the noise level although it is difficult when it’s busy.

I love this restaurant - good value and so cosy on a cold winter's day. The staff are so helpful too.

We arrived at Brumus at 10.45pm an hour late as the kitchen was closing. But they gave us thew menu for an instant choice and gave us dinner. The fish was good, the wine (Bardolino) and service were great but the cakes were a bit dry by midnight. Great location and Brumus deserves high recommendation

Excellent venue for a quieter and more attentive than a regular restaurant experience. We arrived early, had tea and then moved on to the pre-theatre menu. Would 100% recommend and go again.

I love the restaurant itself as Kit Kemp has such flair with interiors and there are always so many interesting things to look at, not to mention the lovely soap in the ladies!
I came to Brumus for a pre-theatre dinner at 6pm, so quite a busy time. The service was very slow considering the time and I don't think there were enough waiters to cater for the whole restaurant. I didn't measure the time it took to order, but I had to catch the eye of a waiter each time to order drink, the main and the dessert and bill because it felt like everything was taking ages. We only had a main course and a dessert and we had to gulp that down because we only had 10 minutes before curtain up! I think that either your waiters are not keeping an eye on their sections or you need more of them. Shame, because otherwise, it was really delicious and you always have a great wine list.

This is now one of my favourite restaurants. Every time I bring a new friend into London this is where I go. If you want an unhurried good value meal with silver service this is the place. The Open Table deal is very cheap but the food is first class. Bread is served free of charge. Wine is affordable. Great ambience. I have been about four times over a year and am remembered by waiting staff which is a nice touch.

This was my first visit to this hotel and Brumus restaurant. I booked brunch as a birthday treat for my friends and it surpassed all our expectations. The service was outstanding, very professional but not intrusive. The staff set the whole tone of the occasion, helpful, informative and genuine. The brunch was delicous and as the website shows you the decor of the hotel and brumus is quite unique.
Thank you Brumus for making my friends birthdays so special, we are already planning our next visit.

I was with friends and we all had the pre-theatre meal before the show. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was top notch. The food was lovely and great value for £19.95 particularly for London.

After my wife had eaten here pre theatre with girlfriends before we decided it was a safe bet for an enjoyable meal before a concert at the London Colliseum. Excellent decision as we were warmly greeted and seated, we decided on the set menu very reasonably priced for 3 courses. The food was very well presented and of a high standard. What’s sets Brumus apart from other restaurants I’ve been to in the west end is the staff. Every waiter was excellent friendly attentive and this made the whole experience great. We will certainly return when next in town.
Thank you Brumus

What a lovely restaurant! We had the three course set menu which offered excellent choice. The staff were so welcoming on a wet Saturday night in London. The decor is fascinating, even the loos! We were going to the Haymarket theatre next door and it was reassuring that we would not be late. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner.

The service really stands out at Brumus. Waiters were friendly, helpful, attentive and fun. Food was well presented and good in the main, although the pumpkin tagine was very bland. Great atmosphere, nice surroundings. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

We had a 3-course offer at 19.95. The food was gorgeous. My friend had problems with the jubilee line and the waiter said that as soon as she arrives he would take our orders and arrange things so that we do not miss our theatre, that the table was for us all the time we needed. This is quite unusual, in my experience both in UK and abroad.

This restaurant really surpassed my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service from our waiter was thoughtful and discreet - we were given a lovely quiet table in the corner and looked after beautifully. As with all the Firmdales. the restaurant is thoughtfully decorated and nicely appointed with comfy seating, lovely table linens and silverware - it always feels like a 'treat' to visit. The set menu is incredible value; top notch cooking - three courses and a glass of prosecco for £25 +service is an extraordinary bargain. Delicious cauliflower & hazelnut soup, tender, perfectly cooked pork belly with red cabbage and divine creamed potatoes.. and then the novelty of a wander around their dessert table to choose a slice of cake or gateaux to finish. Cooking and service like this, at this price is very hard to find in London.. go immediately! thanks Brumus.

A really beautiful place, we had been past it a few times and always thought it looked so nice. So nice in fact that we thought it was out of our price range especially as I am very careful with money. Anyway the interior design is very good mainly because it is part of an upmarket hotel.
Anyway great food and a great value deal with opentable!!!!
Really nice waiters as well.

The food was a bit ordinary to be honest. Certainly caters more to the passing theatre going clientele than the sort of dining expected from someone staying in the Haymarket Hotel.

Breakfast was first rate however as is the Haymarket Hotel. Faultless!
