Bru Burger - Evansville
Bru Burger serves Creekstone burger products, which are Halal certified.
Food was great and fast service! I made reservations and we got right in to our table on a Friday evening.
Got reservations, didn’t get seated at high table. Appetizers were cold, ran out of drink constantly.
After we left, I received an email about how I didn’t show up and how it affects the business.
Well, I did show up on time, told the hostess of reservation, they didn’t even look at it or confirm it.
Probably will not go back.
This seemed like a very slow day barely anyone was in the place. The New Yorker burger was okay. The real issue. I loved the burger but the Pastrami and garlic aoili were awful. The pretzel bites were good but the cheese and mustard sauces weren't. No New Yorker would approve of these. The Bru Margarita was delish and saved my meal. I ordered dessert to go so I hope it will be a great night cap. Not sure why this place won awards. Maybe it was what I chose. I'd go back for the drink so next time I'll try a different burger.
Pre concert dining with my sister and brother in law. Everything was amazing as always!
We eat at Bru-burgers one or two times in a normal month and always enjoy our visit. The onion ring appetizer is highly recommended and this time we added chicken nachos. They were excellent our sandwiches were also great. The servers were attentive as we’ve come to expect. In all, a great night. Their prices are moderate to high but I don’t mind paying a little more for good food and atmosphere.
Great experience and the service was awesome!
Great service and food. Glad to see they rehabbed the old greyhound building. Looks great.
Enjoyed the good food. Was Terri my noisy the first half of our time there. Then quieted down quite bit
As always, great food, great drinks, and relaxing atmosphere. I havent had anything to eat I didn't like. Staff is wonderful.
This was my first time at Bru Burger, I will be back an bring more friends.
Excellent food, friendly service. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing.
Burgers were average...sriracha salad fair ... atmosphere was best part...loved seeing old Greyhound bus station.
The meal was actually very delicious! Definitely nothing to complain about. Very clean and organized.
Reservation system is great, seated immediately. Our server was awesome, cannot wait to go back!
It was a great visit. It was FREEZING throughout the meal but the food was great!
The onion ring appetizer is delicious and a large size. The patty melt was very good and so was the hot chicken sandwich. I love the decor and got to sit upstairs this time. Our waiter was very good. We will definitely be back!
Father’s Day wonderful
Great overall experience. We sat outside on the patio and it was a nice atmosphere. Great food and service. Only issue was the smell that was due to the downtown sewage.
This was my first visit to bru burger, but will not be my last. My wife and I enjoyed our meal and the decor of the restaurant itself. The staff was very friendly and our server was as well.
My only Complaint is that I found the fries too greasy, although they tasted good.
As for the burger it was cooked as I requested and I asked our server to tell the cook they did a fine job preparing our meal.
We had salads with the chicken & salmon add ons & each was fabulous. The bread pudding & fresh coffee at the end was off the charts! Our service was perfect. My friends are from Charlotte & Asheville - well traveled people & living in food areas - they said it was one of the best lunches they have had & I’d have to agree. Will be back soon!
We always love going to Bru for dinner! Atmosphere is great, service is always outstanding, and the food is the best around. All of the vegetarian and vegan options are yummy (and there are lots of them)!
Bru Burger is a fantastic place to eat. The atmosphere is terrific. It is a historic Greyhound bus station that has been renovated and looks terrific. The food is excellent, especially the onion rings. This is one of my favorite places to go in Evansville.
A little chilly upstairs but other than that. All great.
Bru Burger was everything I had hoped it would be... everything they have on the menu is home made; even the ketchup (which is wayyy better than regular ketchup) We had a group of 4, ordered 3 appetizers- all excellent. And we all had different burgers which were also excellent, and we maybe, MAYBE waited 5 min for the appetizers and 10 for our food.
It was literally perfect.
Server was super sweet, prices were sweeter ☺️
Definitely go here!!
This was our first time at Bru Burger and we were very impressed with the renovations. It's really nicely done. We enjoyed looking at the photos on the walls. The food was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and cordial. It was a very pleasant experience.
Always good food and great service. Love the cocktail choices too!
I have eaten at Bru Burger several times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the servers are always friendly. It’s a definite restaurant on my favorites list!
Had a reservation and was seated promptly , food was amazing and the service was great!
Food is usually pretty good. Our server on this visit left a lot to be desired. He was nice enough, but very forgetful and clueless.
Also, while I understand the eco reasons behind paper straws, they are too airy and porous for a milkshake.
Appreciate the warm greeting to Bru’s manager and quick service! Service and food was very good!!!
We ate here twice in two days while in Evansville for a competition. Fast and friendly service and amazing food at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
One of Evansville’s best for quality food, atmosphere, professional staff and management. A great place for drinks and/or dining!
The food was great! The onion rings are out of this world! The Bru Board is a great appetizer and our favorite part was the bacon and chive cream cheese. Yum!
Our waitress was new and switched my parents burgers, one had mayo one didn’t. My father flipped out, thought she was the worst waitress, wasn’t going to leave a tip, and was just down right mean. The waitress held it together fixed everything. It was her second day on the job. My mother made it right and left her a tip. I felt really bad for her. The food itself was really good. It’s kind of expensive. And when you order pretzel sticks only 3 in an order. Which I think should be 4 average family size.
The food is awesome, especially for vegetarians, and keeps us coming back. We also love the beer selection.
This was my wife's first time at Bru Burger; I have eaten there and done carryout many times due to their great salads (Valencia being my favorite). Both salads and sandwiches (regular and burger) are strong contenders, including some really tasty vegan options. We called ahead for a casual anniversary dinner. From the moment we arrived, that anniversary was acknowledged, and throughout the evening, the importance of the evening was reinforced.
My wife enjoyed the Stilton Bleu Cheese Burger (with pear-bacon jam, fried onions, truffle aioli, and spinach) while I opted for the Grilled Portobello Sandwich (with grilled Portobello mushroom, peppadew pepper jam, arugula, goat cheese, balsamic onions, and pesto on rye...a bit messy but delicious!). The was topped off with Peach-White Chocolate Bread Pudding (which was shared and we still couldn't finish.)
My wife makes great bread budding, but even she said, "This beats mine!" The waitstaff - including our server - was wonderful and attentive.
They already earned my respect and business, but they gained a new customer in my wife by how they treated us on our special day. The atmosphere (the renovation of the classic Art Deco Greyhound Bus Station) is beautiful, functional and keeping with the original building's exterior.
Lunch is pretty packed during the week; evenings during the week not as much. We went on a Thursday and service/time was great.
I really enjoyed our dinner at Bru Burger. He lamb burger was “like a gyro on a bun,” my daughter said. Service was fantastic and it was lovely inside. I am only disappointed that I made a reservation online, as it wasn’t really necessary. Online it said there were no tables open past 3:45pm on a Thursday but when we left at 4:45, there were only 5 tables occupied. I would have much preferred a later dinner.
Everything our group ordered was great. I just didn't realize my appetizer was a fancy lunch meat tray. But the Cajun Mac N Cheese was to die for. Service was great.
Table for 4 was very small to put our drinks and food on- seemed very jammed in
