BRU Burger Bar - Carmel

It was NYE, so they were busy, but everything was great.

Sat in the bar. Service was solid and we were able to watch the US hockey World Juniors game [bonus]. Mexicali burger continues to be amazing. Overall, great experience.

Everything was very good. The one disappointment was the food service. My date and I did sit at a table in the bar , the wait for our server was extremely long.

Our food arrived at the correct temp in a timely manner. Service was very good.

Disappointed...There was more importance placed on getting to-go orders out the door. You could visually see them rushing orders out the door and even over hear the employees say they are working as hard as they can. My advise would be order the take out and skip the dine in. Unfortunately, It was not an option for us. I hope that the waiters and waitresses receive something for all of those to-go orders because our tip reflected the manager’s decision to place dine in orders as a lower priority.

The cheeses with the Pretzels, Mac and cheese, fries and onion rings were all cold. For a minute I thought I was dining at McDonald’s but then a realized they figured out how to get hot fries to everyone years ago, this is unacceptable practice in a restaurant of your class. The burgers were warm and as delicious as always.

Our first time to BRU Burger Bar and we will definitely be back. The food was great. Our server Michelle was awesome. The fact that they were feeding Vets on Veteran's Day just put them over the top!

Service and food was outstanding! Thanks for having vegetarian options!!

The Gorgonzola salad was excellent!

Friday night dinner

We had a great dining experience! I tried a salad for the first time and it was delicious.

At a place with “burger” in the name, the burger should be the star! This one wasn’t even an understudy.

Always a great experience..start to finish!! Food and service excellent..every time I go!!!!

Love Bru Burger. Our server mostly ignored our table, but food was delicious as always.

The Devour menu is the way to go, I wish they could keep it all of the time! I forgot to take a picture of the burgers, but we ate with my parents so we all tried something different from the first course and shared!

Made reservation for outside and they sat us right away. Friendly hostess. It was just my husband and I for dinner. She sat us next to a table with 2 adults and a toddler. The toddler was fine it was the parents who were obnoxious. I guess they thought everyone outside and probably inside wanted to hear them play peek a boo at least 1000 times with their daughter!! 😫 They left about 3/4 of the way through our meal so we were able to hear each other. Food was good esp the salad and fries. Service was fine.

Recently switch to a plant based diet. Tried their impossible burger. It was good, although the patty was very thin in comparison to their regular burgers. Because of that, the bun to meat to veggie ratio was off. But it still tasted good. The restaurant did a good job with Covid 19 concerns.

The outdoor patio was excellent. Tables are well spaced and staff went above and beyond to provide a safe environment to enjoy dinner.

First time at Bru Burger and as a lactose intolerant pescatarian, I didn’t have high hopes but was pleasantly surprised! Food was great! Atmosphere was great too!

Wonderful food, service as usual!
Only drawback...hostess was rude and lied to us about the table we requested on the outdoor patio. She sat us at a 2 top right by the trash bin, broom and door where all pass through. When I asked for another option I was told it was taken by a reservation. We finally moved after asking our server and no 4 top was ever needed after we sat there for a hour or more. I really don’t think she cared or liked her job.

I got the Melt Your Face burger (without cheese due to dietary restrictions). The lunch I had from Jimmy John's (with their peppers) was much spicier than what I got with the Melt Your Face burger. I felt that the food lack a lot of flavor in general. It wasn't bad, I was just hoping for more. The people were very friendly. I imagine this is the perfect burger place for a lot of people, just not me.

Food was a little rough. Service was great though.

As usual, the food and service were outstanding. Went for lunch and had no wait for a booth and the restaurant was very quiet. Of course, there were also very few customers at the time we went.

Delicious lunch outside in the courtyard. I love their new Impossible Hiki'ole burger! We've ordered carryout several times from here during the pandemic. It was great to get back to the restaurant to enjoy their food & ambience.
