Great for a brunch
This is the second time we have eaten here. The first time was on a Sunday afternoon. It was great. The second time it was busy and loud, my food arrived cold, and the server easy worthless.
Did an amazing job at accommodating a small party of 8 that turned into a party of 30.
Wonderful food, great service, brilliant value for money and a great atmosphere with a particularly good playlist.
We would definitely recommend stopping by Brownstone while in Boston Back Bay Area.
Loved the high top seating, comfortable and cozy - not fancy, neighborhood diner-esk
Love Brownstones brunch! Great food at a great price. The CCFC and pasta were delicious and server was so nice.
Had Sunday brunch with my wife and daughter. What a pleasant surprise. Great waiter, food was incredible and plenty of it to eat. Couldn’t finish entire meal - too much, yet not too expensive. Great atmosphere and easy to get to from Copley Square. I would definitely go back when I’m back in town!
Was there for brunch. Great ambiance, good food with affordable brunch prices for the South End. However, the coffee was awful and they were out of hot tea. Service could be friendlier.
The food and dining area are great but the service was slow. This was because it was busy and not so much a problem with the staff or waitress.
loved everything!! had a great brunch here, prompt service + amazing food
Hostess was unfriendly and offered us the worst seat in an empty restaurant. Because we asked we got a better table. Bathroom was in need of sprucing up. General cleanliness needed improvement. Will not return. Ambiance was not appealing
Brunch was good. Everyone had a combination of eggs, pancakes, corned beef hash, potatoes, and bacon. The coffee was exceptionally good! Would definitely come back and recommend.
Great but hard to hear over the noise.
Service was faster than expected and the food was amazing!!! The price for 4 people was lower than I ever would have guessed, which was fantastic. I'd definitely get brunch here again!
Poutine was very good.
Two of us ordered the duck. We probably should have sent it back. I like mine medium rare and the first couple of slices were almost bloody.
Brownstone is a great venue for a bar party. Friendly, accommodating, no hassle. Reserve the high top (table 50) if you want to stay late and move between the table and the bar. Our server was amazing--he brought new glasses out as more people arrived, took individual and group orders, brought us waters. Wonderful night, Thank you!
Great spot for brunch, so many good options! Will definitely be back
Food was good. Service fair. Probably wouldn’t go again.
This is the second time I have had Sunday Brunch at the Brownstone. The menu is great, service was good and I love sitting at the high top tables.
Food was great, service was good.Generous portions.
Great service, good service, gross bathroom. The DIY Mimosas and the FCCFT were wonderful.
We went as a group of 7 for a friend’s 21st birthday, definitely plan to spend at least $30, but it was so fun and worth it! Cool vibes!
Service was excellent and food was delicious. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. Restaurant can be very noisy at night but was quiet for lunch. We were in and out in an hour and made it to the matinee we were attending close by. Would definitely come back.
Quick service, good food. Overall, a fine experience for a quick brunch.
This place is great! A little bit noisy as, perhaps, any other bar but overall it is one of my favorite bars - they provide a good choice of beer, wine, and cocktails. Will definitely come back and recommend everyone I know.
Good food and portions. Bloody Mary presentation is nice, but the mix needs doctoring. Busy on the weekends, but you're smart enough to use OpenTable so that's not a problem! Enjoy!
Chris K. who was our server was so amazing, love that man! The food was great and so were the drinks for not bad prices.
Food was excellent. Atmosphere was a bit noisy but not intolerable. Service was okay but not the best. Overall I would recommend this restaurant and would dine there again.
Food was very good and the service was excellent .
First time there and we loved it
Met my friend for brunch on a Sunday. The service is very quick and the food is great!
We went for Brunch around 2:30 on a Saturday with a party of seven. It was not packed and easy to sit and be comfortable. Our waiter was polite, funny and prompt. The quality of the food was amazing with a great price for food and drinks. Overall the experience was great for a birthday brunch and I will definitely be going back.
A group of us went to brunch here on Sunday. Awesome food! Would definitely recommend. There special with the pasta is amazing. Sounds strange but soooo good!
Good food. I got the Combo for brunch and it was totally worth the price, all my friends had left overs to take home!
Needed a place for an early brunch on Sunday. Menu variety looked good! Unfortunately the food was only fair: pancakes were dry and tough, hash was boring and mostly potato, crouque monsieur uninteresting. Too early to get drinks ... would probably not got there again.
Great brunch spot..lacking sufficient parking but food was good, fast service and their version of the mimosa (called Sunshine) was simply yummy!
Went here for brunch on a Sunday and had decent drinks (we got espresso martinis). I ordered the Egg Sammy and was upset that the "good bread" I was promised was actually just toasted white bread. Also swapped in fruit for the side and the blueberries weren't edible. A "meh" experience, but it's cool that they do brunch all week.
The food, atmosphere and service were amazing. And we went there as a last minute backup plan but we're not let down at all!
Good food, casual atmosphere.
My sister insisted I tried Brownstone as she loves it here. I️ showed up 10 minutes earlier then her and was sat at table behind a wall. I️ was going to say something to the hostess but she walked away as fast as she sat me. It was over 10 minutes until a server finally walked over with waters to tell me she wasn’t my server but here are some waters. I️ was still somewhat annoyed after 5 more minutes went by and our server was still no where to be found. I️ think it was because we were hidden behind the wall. I got up an to ask the hostess to move our seats and she told me they were for other reservations, so I said that’s fine let me speak to your manager. At that point the server came over, I had thought he was the manager and I️ explained how unhappy we were with our seats and that 15 minutes had gone by without even a greet. He apologized and got us drinks immediately. The manager finally came over, he didn’t introduce himself and I️ don’t believe he apologize but did offer to move us. At this point we decided to just stay we we were.
The atmosphere was nice, not too loud. The food and ice cold brew was delicious and my sister loved her Bloody Mary. The face of the restaurant, the hostess just had no clue. If someone is unhappy, you make them happy, it’s what hospitality is all about. If I️ hadn’t drove all the way from Beverly Farms, I️ would have left. However, the server changed our experience no one else.
I was a bit worried when we were seated and then received no service for about 20 minutes, but once our waiter arrived he was very attentive throughout the meal and even gave us great drink recommendations that weren't on the menu.
The food was great! It was my friend's birthday, so we wanted something a bit special and out of the ordinary, and that's exactly what we got!
I would definitely recommend for anyone seeking a cozy, cute brunch place with unique food. Plus they take reservations, which ensured that we wouldn't have to wait long for a table (though there didn't seem to be a wait while we were there on a Saturday morning).
