Delicious food at reasonable prices and our waiter was wonderful
We went for breakfast, definitely make a reservation it fills up fast.
Overall fine. Not bad but not great either. Service was slow even though the place was mostly empty. It was my second time having brunch here and both times the food was just fine, including the coffee.
Nice location and vibe. Food was very average, if less so. The chicken in the sandwich is a thin slice, and the shrimp pasta special came out cold. The pasta special was also a terrible value for what was served. Waitress was friendly enough. Would probably not go back.
The food was enjoyable and the ambiance was nice for a morning brunch as they restaurant opened their windows along the street to let in sunlight and fresh air. However, our waitress was incredibly inattentive. We had to get up and go find our own water and ketchup because she failed to bring it over when asked. Could have been a nice meal if she had not been our waitress.
Food was great. Service was quick and efficient. Very good dining experience
Great brunch menu, lots of options, quick service, good for groups. Could improve the coffee options.
If you want to have a conversation- this is not the place, way too loud! The food was very good and a great value for its cost.
Server forgot to put our food in. Made several mistakes with the order. The manager had to support just and had to notice all the simple asks from our table of 8 --- refill on water??
Very little eye contact or interaction from the server or manager.
The Vegetarian with us was served food that she could not eat -- despite making her food restrictions clear when ordering.
The food took VERY long.
There was no apology for the long wait.
Would not come back.
Mother’s Day brunch. Excellent food and service!
Went there for brunch with girlfriends. The waitress was fantastic and has an amazing memory for orders (didn't write anything down and got our orders correct including substitutions / dietary needs). Mimosas were amazing and the food was excellent. Highly recommend this place for brunch.
Food was quite good and our servers we prompt and courteous. Would go again. NB: The lack of gluten free bread was the only real disappointment.
Great place for lunch. Salads, Burgers and Chicken sandwich are very good. Location for our office is great and place is not too crowded. I would recommend for Brunch or lunch and I will definitely be going back!
Business dinner after arriving in Boston, walk-able distance from the Copley hotels.
Not a large menu, but the selections available should be fine for most any appetite. The Cubano is very good, but unique with its BBQ pulled pork - gives it a little zing. The focaccia bread on the sandwich was very good. Good selection of tap beers and other wines and cocktails.
I had never been to Brownstone until recently and this was my second time in 2 weeks. The brunch options are great and everything we had was delicious, the staff is very accommodating and friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends. I would definitely recommend!
I have been a patron of Brownstone for around 6 months now and every time I go it seems to get worse and worse. The service is always sloppy and nobody seems to know what is going on regarding orders, checks and refills. I have waited for a check for over 20 minutes, 3 trips in a row. The food is enjoyable but with dirty silverware, bad service and consistently warm water in my drinking glass, I will never be coming back here.
Alway great, dependable and consistent. Something for everyone on the broad menu.
We’re never disappointed!
Thanks for the great food, service and dining experience.
Brownstone puts on a great brunch. We go at least once a month.
Great food great price
Disappointing all metrics , valuable time is wasted !
We had a lovely Easter brunch here. Food was great, cocktails and mocktails were excellent, and with the windows open and trees blooming outside it was quite the nice morning. We'll be back!
Service was SLOW and not very attentive (half spilled drinks, taking forever after we asked for refills, no water refills) and the food was nothing special. I bet there's better places to get brunch in Boston...
Booked a table for Brunch on Tuesday (yes they serve Brunch every day of the week!!) Arrived a few minutes early but was seated immediately. The Mimosa's and Bloody Mary was terrific while we waited - only a few minutes is seemed - for our food. I ordered the Sammy, hubby ordered the pulled pork eggs Benedict - we were both very pleased with our meal. Actually - I had been in Boston since Saturday evening and although I had been served some good food....this quickly took the #1 spot!! Service was awesome as well.....very nice, courteous and helpful with menu suggestions.
Would highly recommend!!
Great brunch. Food was delicious. Quick service. Definitely would return next time I’m in town
The food was sooooooo slow. We had reservations and weren’t able to sit for 30 minutes after and waited for food over an hour. The food itself was fine and the server was nice, but things were very slow.
The service was horrible, it took our server forever to take our orders and deliver food. We asked for side plates to eat an appetizer from two different waiters and neither ever brought them, which forced us to eat the overly salty poutine without plates. Our salmon was extremely over cooked and charred. Overall poor experience.
Our only complaint was that it was just a little too dark. In like an overly-ambient way. We had to pull out our phones and use the flashlight to read the menus. But other than that the service and food were great.
This was an amazing dining experience! Five stars across the board!
Disappointing! I love going to brunch for the eggs Benedict since I'd never make hollandaise sauce on my own. This was the most flavorless hollandaise sauce ever! Did they forget to add the lemon juice? Do they make it from a starchy mix? Couldn't tell, but definitely not worth the calories! That was just me; my husband did enjoy his omelette. But much too noisy for conversation! Wouldn't go back...
Food was average though the bacon was outstanding. Service was slow even though there were plenty of empty tables. They must have been low on creamers because they only brought a couple when they poured coffee for three people. Had to keep asking for more cream every time waitress refilled our cups. So overall, it was ok but not outstanding other than the bacon which was very good.
We were seated immediately with our reservation. The Irish coffee was a bit too rich with the Bailey's, but our server recommended it iced, which was def the better option. Two of us had avocado toast made with house baked focaccia, poached eggs, heirloom tomatoes, citrus yogurt, radish, herbs and added a side of potatoes. The blend of flavors was out of this world. Great portion size was very generous.
Server was knowledgeable and attentive and didn't rush us. Would def eat here again
My partner and I had brunch at Brownstone. The food was nothing to rave about, but it was good and appropriately priced. The atmosphere was cozy, and we liked the large windows in the front. The location was great, but not what I thought. It's in the South End next to Clery's rather than Back Bay. Overall, we enjoyed it and would go back if we were in the area.
I went to celebrate my birthday. My friend got the KungPau/ something like that fried rice dish. It was very salty and greasy. She did not like it. I had pork belly appetizer. It was very fatty without much pork on it. It was not very good. Oh well. :(
We had a great time! Its a loud pub. But Perfect for drinks and food!
Excellent service! Food was delicious! Would definitely go back!
Super friendly waiter, food was quick to come out and super delicious! Came for Saturday brunch and people didn’t start showing up until about 10:15, we got there at 9:45 expecting a wait.
Brownstone on a Friday night was "meh" as in average. Very loud, so-so food, pretty good drinks, service was ok. Nothing outstanding, but ok. Would not go out of my way to go back, but would go back.
The food and service is always great! One of my fave brunch spots!
Great food and service but very loud music and chatter made it hard to talk at the table.
Brunch was great! Service was a bit slow... but the food was very good!
