   We (myself and 3 friends) booked a table for 4, for Saturday at 8.30pm. The food and drinks were very good, however the service was very slow. The waitress was very slow to take our drinks orders and bring them over to our table, even though the bar and restaurant was very quiet. The staff behind and around the bar were stood laughing rather than waiting on tables. Our food arrived and was very good, however we did ask the waitress for some wine to have with the meal. The waitress must have forgotten we had asked as she returned 5 minutes later to ask if everything was ok with the meal, at which point we had to remind her we had ordered the wine. The waitress then took another 15 minutes to bring said wine, at which point we had completely finished the meal. They also add a 10% service charge on the bill, which we asked to be removed as the service was not good. This is itself is quite awkward for diners to have to do, as we did not want to be impolite, however we did not feel that we should have to pay this as the service was disappointingly slow.

   had a booking for 5.30pm the place was very busy and the atmosphere was very good. service was good and the food was great. staff were very friendly.

   A wonderful meal - great service and food. I have a lot of food intolerances but the staff were fantastic about finding something I could eat and enjoy. Would recommend.

   Big fan of Brown’s in Leeds, Glasgow and Brighton. Normally a great example of an upscale chain restaurant but this time it was appalling. The waitress was great and doing her best to cover up for the kitchen/chef and management failures. I can only imagine that the A team had the day off between Xmas and New Year. The failures were compounded by ‘Ash’ who proclaimed himself the Assistant Manager and the most senior person on duty this day. Other than an overly generous solution of zeroing the entire bill which I didn’t ask for, rather than dealing with the issues, his attitude was like a teenager being scolded for a less than perfect school report. I won’t write Brown’s off but this day they were way off their normal game

   Lovely building. Classy decor. Lively buzz. Great windows & views down the Headrow. Only issue we had was with a fishcake dish but they responded very well. I was offered another dish and was not charged for it. We will go again.

   Booked some time ago through open table. Greeter seemed confused when we arrived. 10 minutes early but found table for drinks. Then appeared to be forgotten and had to chase for a table in a very crowded restaurant. It transpired (we were told) that the booking from open table hadn't arrived and that when we entered the restaurant the greeter assumed we were another booking. We were found another table eventually and the service was efficient
