Featuring a showcase of our finest restaurant offerings straight from the Kitchen Garden to your plate, sit back and relax as you feast upon an exclusive seasonal menu designed by Head Chef Bodee Price.     We have dined at Brown Brothers several times our quite a number of years. Although pricey, we have always been happy to pay as the quality of the food and the matching wines has always been exceptional. I would be lying if I didn't say that we were disappointed this time. The service and quality of the food was still excellent, though the whole thing just didn't gel. The wine matching didn't seem to enhance the food at all; and the food selections seemed quite eclectic, a random selection of items rather than items that complimented each other. We probably won't bother returning.

    Brown Brothers restaurant was fantastic. Went for a Sunday 3 course lunch. Wait staff were attentive and informed. The dining room was beautiful. The food was incredibly tasty too. Favorite dish was the smoked venison. Would recommend to anyone travelling to high country.

    We visit Brown Brothers fairly regularly for lunch but hadn't been for a few months so were delighted from the moment we arrived to find the venue, the staff and the food even better than we remembered. I love the ambiance of sitting near the window watching the birds in the garden as we sip our wine and eat our lunch. The restaurant itself is a warm, calm and welcoming space that is easy to relax in. As for the food, from the delicious sourdough bread with its tasty "waste oil" to the more exotic dishes that make up the menu, we couldn't fault it. Every single thing was delicious and ther wine matches worked well. We left feeling not just replete but also very satisfied indeed.

    We loved our experience at Brown’s Brothers Restaurant. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary that day and our waiter went out of his way for us - even giving us a gift! Thank you so much for making our lunch so memorable on our special day ❤️ we highly recommend this experience.

    I LOVE this restaurant. The service is first class - warm, knowledgeable and well-paced. The food is outstanding - and brilliant use of the kitchen garden. Almost my favourite dish was the pasta with greens, kale and Parmesan. Listing the ingredients cannot do it justice. The slow cooked tri tip beef was amazing - and the wasabi mixed with cabbage was a revelation. And a beautiful garden to enjoy after lunch. Thank you.

    Exquisite meal with highly knowledgeable servers. Relaxed ambiance and a long unrushed lunch. Loved every morsel and matching wines delightful. Can’t wait to visit again sometime soon!

    As you can tell by our ratings, we really enjoyed our lunch experience at Brown Brothers. Dominic thoroughly explained each of the items presented to us for each course as they arrived on our table. He clearly enjoyed his work, and this came through as we spoke about the food and wines. We left the restaurant feeling full but not like we had over eaten. We'd definitely recommend a visit.
