Very good, but not much ambiance. We go there because we love their food and have tried it for lunch and dinner for the past few years. For good cajun food, Broussard's is the best!!!
Always enjoy going to Broussard's with some friends. Usually get the Grits-A-Gumbo, but tried Cajun Alfredeaux this time and it did not disappoint. I'll be back.
Great meal, big portions, authentic bayou fare. We will definitely be back!
Valentine’s Day and the waitress was awful!
Good fried seafood and great poorboy sandwiches.
We went at 7:30, sat outside but there were only 2 other tables of people.
Although we booked this through open table, the restaurant told us they do not take any bookings which was confusing. Some of the dishes were enjoyable- the queso, rice & red beans- while others were nt. For me the gumbo was inedible. Very glutinous with an overpowering bitter flavor.
Gumbo had little seafood and little seafood flavor--requested onion garnish not provided at initial delivery.
How can I leave a review on Open Table if YOU ARE NO LONGER PARTICIPATING IN OPEN TABLE? I made the reservation on OPEN TABLE, but when I show up your waitresses shrug their shoulders and say you haven’t been on OPEN TABLE for a long time. What gives?
Great Place to enjoy a Friday evening with the wife. Relaxed atmosphere by the Gulf . The band was a super addition. Could spend the whole evening eating and dancing to the Blue's. Prices are reasonable and customer service was "A" plus. Only drawback is that when I stated I had reservations , I was told at the front desk that reservations were not accepted. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes, although, they do have a bar outside where you can sit waiting for a table. May want to check prior to going as this venue. It will fill up fast on a Friday evening and I imagine on the weekend as well. I had the alligator meal which comes with fries and slaw. My wife had the blackened chicken Po Boy. Both were cooked to perfection. The Fried Cheesecake is a "must" try!!! Will be coming back when the wife and kiddos come back in July.
They don't really take reservations, as they will tell you when you arrive. I got my points automatically without issue, but who knows how much longer that will last. That said, if you get there before the rush of families with children, it won't matter. The patio seems to be the prime family spot, which is fine if you don't mind looking after everyone else's kids. This is a "Groups-of-families-take-their-tired-kids-out-and-let-them-run-amok-in-the-restaurant-while-they-drink-pink-wine-and-fruit-tinis" sort of place. The food was fine, the service was fine, the prices were fine.
They did not honor my reservation! They said they do not use open table anymore. That I was wrong.
The interface with Opentable was not seamless. They did not seem to know we were coming. They were a bit shorthanded, but did have good attitudes and did try their best. The kitchen was good, and the food was good. A loud table of idiot drunks sort of ruined the ambiance.
Very nice Cajun seafood spot. The service was outstanding. The food was scrumptious and waitress was attentive and knowledgeable.
FINALLY! I have finally found quality Acadiana food without having to cook it or go back home! It was so good! Totally broke my diet, and it was totally worth it!
The service was great and friendly. We had the Seafood combo - blackened - and an extra bowl of gumbo. The seafood combo was extremely good. we had the crawfish queso for app and it was decent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. By the way the "reserve now" didn't work but the night was not busy and it didn't matter. However if it's too cold to sit outside the indoor seating is limited. Over all this was a good choice for us.
I've been twice for lunch and both times had the Cajun Gumbo with grits. As good, if not better than ya-ya.
Great meal and service as usual!!!
We come here often for both lunch and dinner.
Ok overall. Was expecting more options in terms of the type of place. A lot of friend food. Some dishes were over spicy and over seasoned.
Hole in the wall....with AWESOME cajun food!
We love this place!!! It's very casual, but the service is always very good and so is the food!!! For Cajun food, you can't beat Broussard's!!! Even better that you can buy some of the food and prepare it at home!!!
Doesn't look like much, but worth giving a try! Good food, great service.
Food is good. Service is ok. Great for lunch and dinner. I would recommend eating her to anyone. Can't go wrong with the great choices.
First visit. We like Cajun/creole style food and wanted to give this a try. The location is a little off of the main street but isn't hard to find and parking was available but could get tight during busy periods. Our waitress was Stacy and she was a rare fine; she knows how to engage people with good service and a good attitude. I would certainly ask for her on a repeat visit. Because it was Valentines we had their 4-course dinner of grilled shrimp (very good), a cup of creole gumbo (average for an ethnic specialty restaurant), 6-oz filet with grilled asparagus & twice baked potato( each cooked perfectly and all very good) and velvet cake for desert (nice). A very filling dinner. I think the interior setting lends itself to a good lunch spot. We did not try any of their Louisiana inspired craft beers and we choose to sit inside versus their outdoor section where they had live music.
Good food. The place gets overwhelmed with a crowd. Did not get food that was ordered. Staff was flustered, but very nice.
Very good. Beware the pork rinds; addictive. Friendly, warm service, good portions of local favorites. Excellent selection of beer on hand.
