Food was fantastic and our server Monica was amazing! She went over and beyond! Thanks Monica!
This restaurant needs to be removed from Open Table. We made a reservation for Mother's Day for a party of 6. When we arrived for our reservation, we were told that they did not have a reservation for us because they "don't have access to the Open Table reservation system". Needless to say, it was 11am on Mother's Day, so we obviously could not leave, because who on earth would be able to take a party of 6 as a walk-in for brunch on Mother's Day, so we had to wait for a table. Once we were finally seated, they had an issue with their online ordering system, and we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Never again.
Took mom out for early mother's day breakfast. Huge portions (Belly Buster could feed 2 adults) and creative omelettes and eggs benedict. Even my dad enjoyed his breakfast! Would defiantly go back again.
Wonderful French toast with fried apples and glazed bananas. Chef was able to substitute cinnamon bread for a small up charge and it was heavenly!
Food was ok pizza was great, steak top were over cooked and thinned out.
The Portuguese menu is particularly interesting and was very good. The standard menu is broad and covers a wide range of food and prices, but don't miss out on a selection of delicious, unusual, and moderately priced Portuguese dishes.
There was only one server. She worked incredibly hard and was attentive and helpful, but service was slow since she she had no help. The young man who bused the tables was also courteous, attentive, and affable.
Parking was in short supply, as is often true in Salem, particularly because of the popularity of the adjacent Notch Brewing Tap Room. We found plenty of parking a short walk away on 24-30 Congress Street, on the other side of the short bridge.
Had a pleasant Birthday lunch with mom and niece. Staff were pleasant and attentive and had an overall good dining experience. Would go again and maybe later in the evening for a nice dinner.
This was the first time we had been to Brothers Taverna since the introduction of the Portuguese specialties on the dinner menu. What a fantastic meal, at very reasonable prices. Try the paella -- and bring your appetite!
Portugese food was amazing, will definitely be coming back
The food is great & the value matches. Definitely a great breakfast spot!
Although the restaurant was expecting 100 middle schoolers for lunch shortly after we arrived, they served us at the bar and were fast and pleasant. I liked the menu variety and the prices can't be beat. I had a fresh haddock sandwich with fries and great coleslaw for $10.00!
We really enjoyed brunch omelettes. Great food, great service.!
This place was a tremendous disappointment. Although the pumpkin ravioli were good, the waitress forgot several things and the rest of the food was insipid. Especially horrible was the chicken piccata, which ended up being a watery mess of slop that looked as if it had been prepared in the dishwasher. The chicken pesto panini didn’t have hardly any pesto on it. The cocktails (even though they sounded good) were poorly prepared. Worst of all, no one there knew anything about Open Table! An overall disappointment.
This is where my wife and I and our families had dinner after our wedding. The food was decent, but not worth the price at all. The drinks were definitely not worth the price and in small cheap plastic cups. And the service was absolutely horrible. Had to ask for refills and then still didn’t get them. Was never brought dressings with the salads. Had to ask 3 different employees for dressing before finally getting it 20 minutes after our food. The bathrooms were disgusting. Definitely not the place we would have chosen if we would have known how it would be when we got there.
The food was awful and the service was dreadful. We were at a table of 10 and we waited such a long time to even have our order taken. And then the food was not good at all.
Service was very slow, there seemed to be only 2 servers and they were also the bartender. Our server tried his hardest and apologized, He was genuinely sorry that they were short handed. The woman server was speaking very loudly to the kitchen staff which I felt was inappropriate.
