firm and flaky
Catch of the day marinated in ginger, lemon and orange juice, cilantro and parsley
We took a chance on this pick, upon arriving from the GPS instruction it didn’t seem it was a wise choice. The restaurant was flanged by a laundromat and a salon.
But as we enter the “left door”, everything changed (the right entrance was for “take out”) The ambiance was modern, roomy and welcoming. We were greeted by “Juan” who showed us to our reserved table at the back of the house. The menu was simple and we decided on 3 Chef Tasting Menu and one Paella made with squid ink.
There were so many offerings from the tasting menu it’s hard to pick our favourite but the stand out was the fish croquet which remind me of a seafood chowder was you bite into the croquet. The fish taco was also a surprise. The king fish was also tasty. The course starts out mild to heavy complex texture / flavour. The desserts at the end also contributed to a well rounded evening.
The paella was a table pleasers. The squid ink brought a new paella experience for all of use. The socarrat (burn rice bottom) was surprisingly good.
Kudos to the chef and Juan our server. The made us feel welcome and took the time explaining all the different course that were brought out.
This is a great little place that hopefully more people will frequent. The right door is for take out, the left is a quaint restaurant. There is a chef’s tasting for people who are adventurous. Lots of sea food options. If you don’t like seafood, this is NOT your place.
A small place, which needs to be a little nicer to be that shabby chic look. The tasting menu was well thought out but lacked a bit of attention to detail. We didn't get our drinks until the second tasting plate arrived, some plates looked and felt pre-plated. Sauces were sometimes crusted over a bit, dishes weren't hot.
But the food was plentiful and the service people were nice, just not quite as polished as I would have hoped. The desserts were very good. Overall very nice. I would not get the tasting again but would go back for take out or a la carte.
from the start walking in to the end of the meal its always a very good experience at Brothers. very good staff and the food is excellent
Great food. Nice people. Always a pleasure dining there.
Celebrated our 10 year anniversary, and was so impressed by the tasting menu, service, and value for the money. It exceeded expectations and was a memorable evening. Highly recommend!
Definitely the best seafood tasting menu we have experienced. 12 courses!
Each one unique with amazing flavors and unique presentation.Highly recommend.
The ceviche was especially top notch and the Fisherman's platter was enormous and delicious. However, even with the excellent quality food the prices (~$28 per dish) are way too high for an Ossining hole in the wall for this place to be a true find. Reserve this place for an informal special occasion or take advantage of the food takeout attached to the main restaurant.
great food, great service great beer and wine selection we will be back
had a fantastic dinner as always. The chef created a tasty dish my wife really enjoyed.
Pleasantly surprised is a huge understatement. Way exceeded my expectations. I will certainly be back!
WESTCHESTER’s best kept secret. The best and most creative seafood.
Great, little, unassuming spot for lunch or dinner! Quality of the fish was excellent and clearly the chefs in the kitchen can get pretty creative which is awesome to see.
Accommodated our group of four very well and nice selection of local beers to offer too!
Fantastic food in a family friendly setting. Everyone enjoyed the meal - kids and parents alike.
always a great experience at Brothers. great food and great staff. plus a excellent beer selection
Outside non-descript. Inside non-descript. Food very good. A hidden treasure.
The food was fantastic. We love the modern interpretations of Latin flavors on seafood. The menu is so creative! Service was absolutely perfect and we had the opportunity to sample some wonderful cocktails as well. We had the lobster tostones, ceviche, and a paella. Dessert was homemade ice cream and also an excellent flan. This restaurant is clearly a gem.
we had a excellent meal at brothers friday night, the staff is excellent the food even better. the beer list is great. as usual we will be back
To be honest, it’s hard to find as this place is in a mini strip mall and looks like a fast food restaurant with food to go. Once you go inside, the restaurant is very nice! The decor is contemporary and service is befitting a 4 star restaurant. The appetizers are pricey and most are over $20 and average. The entrees are over $30. The place needs more curb appeal and maybe it can justify the pricey menu. Nice staff.
Food is good but a bit over priced on some items. We had Cod fish and french fries but way way too much fries and presentation was not on par with the other dishes.
The was my first time to Brothers Fish & Chips and I was not disappointed. The service was excellent as was the food. It was quiet until a large group came in, then it became difficult to have a conversation.
The food very good and fish and chips had great flavor. A friend had the Risotto and she said it was very good. The desert presentation was amazing as well as very tasty.
Food quality and presentation were excellent. Ambiance average. Audio too loud. This was our first visit
Superb food and warm and friendly service. We've never had a bad meal.
Excellent, inventive seafood in a low-key setting. Service was attentive and speedy with no feeling of being rushed. We’ll definitely be back.
Went on a Sunday night early, so the restaurant was fairly empty. Restaurant is very clean, modest and well-lit. Waitress was extremely nice and helpful. Menu is small, however, if you like what is offered you will not be disappointed. Had the shrimp appetizer and it was delicious....garlic laden served with delicious bread for dipping. Also had fish tacos and they did not disappoint. I would have preferred the fish baked (and I'm sure they would have accommodated had I asked.) A complimentary dessert was served which was very thoughtful. Not a place for a special occasion because the restaurant is basic looking, but the food was great! Wine was delicious as well. Definitely will return for another delicious dinner.
Casual storefront restaurant with beautiful food. The service was excellent and the menu choices very inventive, with large portions and fair prices. We will definitely be back.
Fabulous, inventive food. Reasonably priced. Warm, caring service. Delicious wine, also well priced. Everything we had was excellent. I’m an adventurous cook and like to order things I can’t make (better) at home, and this surpassed on all counts.
Surprisingly high-end food in this strip-mall restaurant next to their (very yummy) fish & chips takeout joint. Food was delicious, service was excellent. I will definitely go back to try the $75 chef's tasting menu!
Food and service are outstanding. The space is lovely. Elegantly presented food in a comfortable setting.
A+++++++food and service. I kept reading rave reviews about this restaurant and finally got there. My very high expectations were exceeded - significantly. Do not miss any chance to dine there
Excellent food and service, and a warm and happy atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Food was amazing. Servers are very nice. Restaurant was smaller than I thought but the food definitely makes up for it. Don’t miss it!
Very fresh and expertly prepared food.
My friend and I went there to catch up. We sat down and got our drinks order in. The drinks were good. Not too bad. We then proceeded to order from their restaurant week menu, which they didn’t give enough options on the entrees, that was a little disappointing. But we ordered one of each basically. It took about 25min to get our appetizers, which it wasn’t something BIG to eat. It was shrimps two pieces of toast and aioli sauce. Anyways finished that and then again took a while to get our entrees. My friend liked her dish and I liked mines as well except I would’ve liked my fish cooked a little more crispier. But other than that it was good. I couldn’t even finish my entree cause I got full on drinks from the wait for our appetizers. Then we finally ordered our desserts and while we waited we saw this table that had sat after us (10 min) and they had gotten all their food before us. They finished while we were waiting on our desserts! We were flabbergasted. Anyways we finally got our desserts and it was okay and we were THE LAST ones in the restaurant. Everyone else had left. Server was nice but I wish we just had a little quicker of service. Also they charge their service fee in the bill ... I mean not a huge deal but would’ve been nice if we could’ve done it especially if it depends on service.
Dinner was delicious. Great service. Only complaint was that they charge for bread on the table. We had the most delicious shrimp with amazing sauce. We wanted to soak up sauce with bread and there is a $7.00 charge. I’ve never heard of that happening. I’d go back for the food and service but I think that bread should be free!!!
Best fish and chips we've ever had. Fish was fresh, batter was light and non-greasy, fries hand-cut. My bass was also excellently cooked and seasoned. Husband loved his smoky cocktail, good beer selection too. Appetizers and desserts were great, but it was the fish and chips that nailed it! Quite a lovely surprise, we like exploring new places during Restaurant week and Brothers far exceeded our expectations.
We went during restaurant week. Been meaning to try it forever so it worked out really well. The name is very deceiving because this is a serious restaurant. Its a tiny space and very cold in the winter, ie space heaters everywhere but they are trying to do some neat things. They messed up my order and brought over this massive dry ice smoked dessert thing that was very cool, especially for my teenage daughter. We will be back when the weather warms up to see what they have for spring menu.
Omg the service and food was amazing... I am planning my next visit already and I just leave there.
Please try dark passion from the drinks menu. 🍷🥂👍🏼
Very tasty food. We want to go back to try other dishes.
Everyone was very pleasant and professional. Food and wine recommendations were provided by our server Jackie. The food was excellent. There were 4 in our party, 3 had the fish and chips - they were light, crispy and not greasy. One had the Rissotto with crab which was served in a pumpkin, beautiful presentation, and was delicious.
