Great food at a wonderful local place that we and our friends thoroughly enjoyed. We’ve been there multiple times. This was the first time for our friends and they will be back too!
Fish and chips rocked
We had the tasting menu and it was above and beyond our expectations. The dishes we were served were varied and all delicious. From a grilled octopus to our favorite of the evening, a tuna belly fish taco, which sounds pedestrian, but was sublime.
My sister and I enjoyed the awesome tiki drinks, octopus appetizer, plantain side, cod fish and chips and the lemon basil flan dessert. Every item was executed perfectly! The flavors and special touches, like the lemon foam on top of the fish and chips, were exciting and delicious. The overall attention to details made for an excellent dining experience. They even have a separate fryer to accommodate those with a shellfish allergy. The service was outstanding and the courses were perfectly timed as well. Thank you!! We will be back!
Completely unexpectedly amazing! Was thinking this was a fish and chip shop from the UK, but it’s a modern take on seafood with a strong Latin American influence. Absolutely delicious. We had the tasting menu and can’t wait to try the next one when it changes.
The food is excellent but what also stands out is the service. It is both understated and sophisticated. We were given all the information we needed without having to ask. I was impressed.
Best fish and chips I’ve had since i don’t know when! Charming spot, tasty food, polite unobtrusive service and a generous pour. All good in the ‘hood, or 20 or so mins away!
OMG. fish & chips were amazing. Octopus, good too (and that's not easy). Truly. A new big fan of this place. The brothers were lovely, caring, kind, and talented. Thanks for the heads up from reviews about location of the place, so be prepped for that, but also be prepared for delicious food and welcoming 'tude.
The tasting menu was exquisite. The chief personally came out to describe the dishes and check on us. We had a multitude of dishes each served with beautiful presentation and tasted even better!! The servers were attentive and friendly. I rarely give 5 star reviews, but they deserve it! Will definitely return !
A little disappointed. Their dine in menu has changed, featuring only 3 options. Fish & Chips, Fish Tacos and their 3 course tasting menu. Their website still features their full dinner menu that includes paella, chicken sandwich, lobster roll, mussels, shrimp and salad.. Arriving at 4 PM, their opening time, I found the restaurant neat and clean except for the bar that was surprisingly in disarray. The fish and chips and tacos are always good but the options were too limited.
What a hidden gem this restaurant is! Chef Elmer puts so much creativity and love into his food. Plating is beautiful, flavors unique. Highly recommend the tasting menu.
I loved the food and the service was incredible.
Found a great place for fish. Fresh, tasty, well prepared. I’m going back! Location is not ideal but you can’t have everything.
The best fish and chips I've ever had, coupled with delicious mojitos. Basic decor
plus a grow-light.
Terrific food and exceptional service. We had a lovely anniversary celebration. We would highly recommend Brothers
The best fish and chips we've ever eaten! Very nice service, delicious Mojitos.
We'll be back.
We took a chance on this pick, upon arriving from the GPS instruction it didn’t seem it was a wise choice. The restaurant was flanged by a laundromat and a salon.
But as we enter the “left door”, everything changed (the right entrance was for “take out”) The ambiance was modern, roomy and welcoming. We were greeted by “Juan” who showed us to our reserved table at the back of the house. The menu was simple and we decided on 3 Chef Tasting Menu and one Paella made with squid ink.
There were so many offerings from the tasting menu it’s hard to pick our favourite but the stand out was the fish croquet which remind me of a seafood chowder was you bite into the croquet. The fish taco was also a surprise. The king fish was also tasty. The course starts out mild to heavy complex texture / flavour. The desserts at the end also contributed to a well rounded evening.
The paella was a table pleasers. The squid ink brought a new paella experience for all of use. The socarrat (burn rice bottom) was surprisingly good.
Kudos to the chef and Juan our server. The made us feel welcome and took the time explaining all the different course that were brought out.
This is a great little place that hopefully more people will frequent. The right door is for take out, the left is a quaint restaurant. There is a chef’s tasting for people who are adventurous. Lots of sea food options. If you don’t like seafood, this is NOT your place.
A small place, which needs to be a little nicer to be that shabby chic look. The tasting menu was well thought out but lacked a bit of attention to detail. We didn't get our drinks until the second tasting plate arrived, some plates looked and felt pre-plated. Sauces were sometimes crusted over a bit, dishes weren't hot.
But the food was plentiful and the service people were nice, just not quite as polished as I would have hoped. The desserts were very good. Overall very nice. I would not get the tasting again but would go back for take out or a la carte.
from the start walking in to the end of the meal its always a very good experience at Brothers. very good staff and the food is excellent
Great food. Nice people. Always a pleasure dining there.
Celebrated our 10 year anniversary, and was so impressed by the tasting menu, service, and value for the money. It exceeded expectations and was a memorable evening. Highly recommend!
Definitely the best seafood tasting menu we have experienced. 12 courses!
Each one unique with amazing flavors and unique presentation.Highly recommend.
The ceviche was especially top notch and the Fisherman's platter was enormous and delicious. However, even with the excellent quality food the prices (~$28 per dish) are way too high for an Ossining hole in the wall for this place to be a true find. Reserve this place for an informal special occasion or take advantage of the food takeout attached to the main restaurant.
great food, great service great beer and wine selection we will be back
had a fantastic dinner as always. The chef created a tasty dish my wife really enjoyed.
Pleasantly surprised is a huge understatement. Way exceeded my expectations. I will certainly be back!
WESTCHESTER’s best kept secret. The best and most creative seafood.
Great, little, unassuming spot for lunch or dinner! Quality of the fish was excellent and clearly the chefs in the kitchen can get pretty creative which is awesome to see.
Accommodated our group of four very well and nice selection of local beers to offer too!
Fantastic food in a family friendly setting. Everyone enjoyed the meal - kids and parents alike.
always a great experience at Brothers. great food and great staff. plus a excellent beer selection
Outside non-descript. Inside non-descript. Food very good. A hidden treasure.
The food was fantastic. We love the modern interpretations of Latin flavors on seafood. The menu is so creative! Service was absolutely perfect and we had the opportunity to sample some wonderful cocktails as well. We had the lobster tostones, ceviche, and a paella. Dessert was homemade ice cream and also an excellent flan. This restaurant is clearly a gem.
we had a excellent meal at brothers friday night, the staff is excellent the food even better. the beer list is great. as usual we will be back
To be honest, it’s hard to find as this place is in a mini strip mall and looks like a fast food restaurant with food to go. Once you go inside, the restaurant is very nice! The decor is contemporary and service is befitting a 4 star restaurant. The appetizers are pricey and most are over $20 and average. The entrees are over $30. The place needs more curb appeal and maybe it can justify the pricey menu. Nice staff.
Food is good but a bit over priced on some items. We had Cod fish and french fries but way way too much fries and presentation was not on par with the other dishes.
The was my first time to Brothers Fish & Chips and I was not disappointed. The service was excellent as was the food. It was quiet until a large group came in, then it became difficult to have a conversation.
The food very good and fish and chips had great flavor. A friend had the Risotto and she said it was very good. The desert presentation was amazing as well as very tasty.
Food quality and presentation were excellent. Ambiance average. Audio too loud. This was our first visit
Superb food and warm and friendly service. We've never had a bad meal.
Excellent, inventive seafood in a low-key setting. Service was attentive and speedy with no feeling of being rushed. We’ll definitely be back.
