I have been to Brothers several times and have always been pleased. The food is excellent and beautifully served.
When we opened the menu and saw its large print, along with the bright lights in the room, it felt like we were at some sort of a facility and not at a neighborhood restaurant. Couldn't help but feel like something was off in the room. There wasn't anyone to meet us at the door and the bartenders were not paying attention to our arrival, despite appearing not to be doing anything but talking to each other. Our dishes were quite good, except for my husband's salmon which had no flavor. Appreciated the attention of the waiter who was helpful in getting us out in time to make a show, but this wasn't a place we'd have wanted to linger in anyway. Wish I wasn't giving this negative a review, but that's what it was like.
The food is delicious. It is a nice place for a brunch or breakfast. owners are very nice. There weak spot is in reservations - having one doesn’t appear to mean much in the way they manage tables.
The food and service on Mother's Day, one of the busiest was very good. I had a crab cake eggs Benedict and it was delicious. The campari mimosa was also very good! I highly recommend this place.
Great casual atmosphere, really good food and the kicker, the Bo Winniker Trio every Saturday and Sunday evening. A fun time. Family friendly but great for a date night, too!
We took or family to Brothers on a Sunday evening to enjoy both the food and the Winniker Trio. It is a charming atmosphere, much like being in a friendly, welcoming club. The winners are great and the second half of the performance is by local talent, singers, drummers, trumpet players etc. performing while accompanied by the trio.
The food is excellent. Dishes from fruit de mare to ahi tuna to brick chicken were all delicious. The portions are very generous, the food fresh and beautifully prepared and served. Sautéed vegetables were crisp and lovely. We shall return often.
The service was very rude. I made a reservation, but there were no tables ready for us at the time of my reservation. We would have had to wait 20 minutes, so we were told to sit at the bar.
The server at the bar was very short with us. Asking clarifying questions about our order before we could even finish saying our order.
Finally, an entire tray of drinks was spilled next to me and splashed on me. No one apologized for the accident.
Food was so good. Nachos were absolutely delicious.
Ambiance/ atmosphere was not great.
The wait wasn’t bad, the server was friendly but they forgot some details on our food (forgotten fruit, forgot cheese on eggs) and it tasted bland
This was our first time at Brothers and it was fantastic. We read online that they can get busy on a Sat night so we made reservations on Open Table. We requested a high-top table in the bar area which was perfect. We came in for the live Jazz music of the Bill & Bo Winiker Band who play there every weekend. I was expecting it to be very loud with a full house and the music but surprisingly the music level and guests nose level were not loud at all. You could hear yourself talk. The wait staff was friendly, accommodating and we never had to wait to order drinks. Overall I found the atmosphere very warm and welcoming. The beer selection was great with a wide variety of great local breweries - we had the Down East Cider and for snacks we had the nachos with chicken.
A Charming neighborhood Restaurant with eclectic menu and excellent service
Two years running we have hosted a 10 person family birthday celebration with Sunday breakfast at Brothers. Both celebrations very enjoyable, with very good food, excellent service and an informal and fun atmosphere. A basket of fresh coconut chocolate mini-muffins on every table. Try the new Healthy Omelette.
A perfect breakfast spot, good food, and a relaxed environment .
Good food. One waitress rude (Boston style :-), other one nice. Great entertainment on Sunday evening -- live music. That's the main attraction. Nice, friendly ambiance.
The food is delicious.
All in all it was a good fun Experience but someone should tell the waitress she should thank her patrons when they give her a 64.00 tip after we had to wait for her.
I went to Brothers the day after Valentines and the only Menu they were serving was the Valentines Menu which happened to be very similar to their regular menu but each entree was 5-6 dollars more expensive. Since this was my first visit to the restaurant and I’ve seen the Menu online this did not sit very well for me. I mentioned it to the waitress but there was nothing to be done about it.
That been said, the service was great and the food was good. The churrasco was delicious. Even though I enjoyed my experience I felt cheated and that is why I am not sure I’ll be back.
While we had reserved a table through Opentable, we still waited nearly 25 minutes to be seated. There was no point in reserving and the hostess was extremely inefficient. There were many parties waiting who were also quite annoyed. We were 3 people in the end and they sat us at a 2-top so it was highly uncomfortable. We have dined here a few times in the past for brunch and the food is always good, but this time the service and management of the crowded brunch time was awful. We will not be returning anytime soon, unfortunately.
Good food and service
Great food. Nice staff. Will be back!!!
My sister in law and I love to check out new places, for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, especially if there’s a full bar. The waitress was great, super nice and personable. Food was good, not great and the sticky floor throughout, was kind of a turn off. Place could use a good once over.
Good value & tasty fare. Service was friendly and our requests for side dish substitutes were carried out correctly. Really, my only complaint about Brothers is that they had not vacuumed the floor -- which made a negative impression.
I love Brothers for their food and entertainment with the Winiker Orchestra and the Singers they welcome up to sing for the diners and they are all talented. The food is excellent and it’s a wonderful night.
Food was great and service was fine albeit the restaurant was under staffed.
Superb brunch food and very good service. Unfortunately this time, a large group was treating the place as their private function room.
All 3 of us loved our entrees. The lamb shank was perfect! The drinks were also delicious- Great limoncello martini and perfect cosmo. Look forward to going back!
Very overpriced. The waiter was very nice, but they used the New Year’s menu early so they could charge more and were out of a number of drinks listed on the menu. The food was just OK.
Restaurant needs updating. Doesn’t justify pricing.
Made a reservation thinking it would be a great place for 8 people to eat. The food was just ok and the service likewise, but they did have great entertainment which is every weekend on Saturday and Sunday nights with Bill & Bo Winniker which is worth the trip. The portions are generous. Just wish the food was better
Churrasco meat was tough and chewy. It was not a good cut of meat. The restaurant had one waiter who was unable to keep up with the orders. He forgot to serve the appetizers.
If you like a good omelette you cannot beat brothers! I want their chicken fiesta omelette again tonight SO bad! 😋
Delightful, creative fusion-style menu, live, tasteful music with opportunity to sing along; excellent service. A treat all around--highly recommended
Delicious entress and great music to listen to by the Winiker Band, plus singers. Great night out. HIghly recommend.
A nice find! Food was delicious and priced reasonable. Staff was accommodating! It was a tad chilly but it was a cold morning and the restaurant had just opened.
Very good food
We really liked the food and the service was good even though it was very busy. I did think asking us to leave as they had a table of ten to seat was kind of rude. I understand they were busy but we spent alot and it just felt rude. Otherwise, I would absolutely come back and we will. Very nice place. Excellent food. A little pricey but very nice.
Excellent brunch--great eggs Benedict and challah French toast selection, as well as creative mimosa choices. Excellent value! Can get a touch loud and crowded.
We had a very good meal and enjoyed our time. The lamb was very good as was the calamari starter.
