We pay tribute to the rugged individualism of Pensacola’s unique historic cultural significance, specifically its Spanish influence. Real and super-rustic, the kitchen presents Old World cookery at its roots, with all the layers peeled back. Brother Fox utilizes a live-fire approach to cooking almost everything that we serve, from coal-roasted oysters to Carne Asada for two, served with hot tortillas. Our beautiful outdoor seating sets the stage for a casual meet up with friends for a glass of wine from regions near and far, carafes of Bathtub Gin or Sangrias from the bar. Inside, the cuisine and casually elegant design are the embodiment of a “neighborhood” spot that caters to visitors and residents alike, for special occasions, celebrations, and some of the finest wood-fired cuisine in Pensacola. We went for lunch and our server alarm was fantastic. One of the guests ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken came out burnt. We asked if the grease had been changed and she said more than likely they just had to cook the chicken longer. I'm talking about burnt guys. Another guest got the chorizo tacos and they were dry and flavorless. They also do not have salsa for the tacos. The potatoes were good. I kept it safe, or so I thought, and ordered the pastry basket. They just seem like pastries bought from Publix and reheated. Again, our server Lauren was amazing. The Ambiance was great.

Unfortunately, it was a total miss. Food, drinks, and service were a disappointment. It took 50 minutes to get our drinks. Our appetizers came out before our drinks (whiskey neat, margarita, and an old fashion). 3 out of 4 people order the filet. They asked for them to be prepared medium rare and they came out well done. One guest could barely cut into his because of how it was cooked. Our server tried but she was struggling. We were 1 of 4 tables and she couldn’t get keep up. We had a 2 top next to us and they left very disappointed. Other servers were coming up to them and apologizing for their service. Another 2 top was seated and they left 15 minutes after being seated because it took so long to be greeted. We have dined here serval times prior and there always seems to be “something” off. Tonight was just completely off. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the appetizers were good and the runners were very kind. It will take a lot to get us back.

Lovely ambience. Our wait staff were friendly and courteous. The charcuterie board was outstanding. We enjoyed our experience so much we went back for brunch a few days later and were delighted again. Good job Brother Fox!

Food was very interesting and very tasty. The Fuego hour tapas menu is very tasty and the prices good and the prices for wine and beer. They make a very nice Sangria. Dining area is pretty and clean. The outside grill smells good. Parking is not very good. Not sure if allowed to park on the street in residents parking or where else to park. Looks like the spaces by the restaurant are only for guests at Lilly Hall

Absolutely phenomenal. Kate at the bar was fantastic. My husband and I shared the pan con tomate, ribeye special, little gem Cesar salad and a whole bunch of martinis. Perfection all of it
