We pay tribute to the rugged individualism of Pensacola’s unique historic cultural significance, specifically its Spanish influence. Real and super-rustic, the kitchen presents Old World cookery at its roots, with all the layers peeled back. Brother Fox utilizes a live-fire approach to cooking almost everything that we serve, from coal-roasted oysters to Carne Asada for two, served with hot tortillas. Our beautiful outdoor seating sets the stage for a casual meet up with friends for a glass of wine from regions near and far, carafes of Bathtub Gin or Sangrias from the bar. Inside, the cuisine and casually elegant design are the embodiment of a “neighborhood” spot that caters to visitors and residents alike, for special occasions, celebrations, and some of the finest wood-fired cuisine in Pensacola. Imagine food with soul, both exciting and traditional, in a breezy setting, right in the heart of Old East Hill.

    We 3 shared about 8 rounds of Tapas including papas bravas, gambas, olives, pan con tomate, manchego etc. and wine by the glass - we then shared the carne asada that we usually order (we also asked for a little extra side of vegetables). The tapas all came out in proper timing the wine was great and then the carne asada took it all over the top.

    We started at sister hen, cute place, and migrated to brother Fox for dinner after. Drinks were phenomenal and the atmosphere at both was great as was the service. The food, however, was not very tasty. It was frankly, on the bland side, not at all what I expected. I would return for charcuterie and drinks, but the food for the price will prevent me from ordering a meal again.

    Friday's is our family dinner night for us to get together talk about our week, enjoy great food and each others company. The food and service was top notch. Brother Fox is one of our goto places!

    Brother Fox never misses when it comes to brunch. The ambiance is bright and modern with a laid-back charm that makes you want to stay all day. Their mimosa game? Strong. Fresh-squeezed OJ with the perfect ratio of bubbly — not that watered-down stuff you get at most places. The food? Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. And the service was truly great — friendly, attentive, and on point without being overbearing. Our server kept the mimosas flowing and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.     My husband and I had a great experience at Brother Fox Sister Hen. The restaurant itself is on the bottom floor of what seems like a boarding house or airbnb in the Old East Hill District of Downtown Pensacola. The decor is modern neutral. When we arrived, the place was hopping. It took about 5 minutes for a host to come to the front of the restaurant entrance to seat us. Our meal started with the Banana Brulee cocktail which was delicious! The sugared banana slice served with the whiskey mixture complimented the cocktail -- definitely a drink I would have again or recommend. For dinner, we had grilled octopus and garlic oysters to start -- that was the best part of the meal. We also enjoyed the elote salad, but we would have preferred if it would have been more elote instead of salad. My husband and I shared the off menu blackened shrimp which was good but the shrimp was over salted which over powered the texture and taste of the shrimp. The highlight of the meal was the arroz brulee -- it was set on fire and pretty much stole the show. Aside from our meal, the ambiance was entertaining as we were able to watch other people receive large helpings of food which they seemed to enjoy. The restaurant volume was minimal so we could still hear each other's conversation. Our server was new and pleasant -- she attended to our needs and checked on us often. The restaurant has an outdoor area that is neat ... at the time, it was too warm for us to dine a la cart. I would say, if given the opportunity to go again, we would. The seafood paella looked appetizing.

    Very limited menu. Was extremely loud and could not hear the waitress nor the conversation with the person I was with. Will not come back.
