   Great for a afternoon date. Yummy, local, and lots of charm. It's upstairs so you can't sit outside

   Brookville never disappoints. The consistency and quality of the fare is always top notch. We had a Mother's Day brunch out on the patio

   First, all locally produced vegetables and proteins. Menu is always changing. I enjoyed my meal very much, chicken and waffles. Thought there would be more vegetarian selections for my daughter. Definitely a better date night local. I would go back again.

   Brookville has the same great food as always but a little bit lower prices that are great for those of us living on grad student budgets! 87 stars!!!!!!

   Superb comfort food. Egg specialities! Genuine local. Fun craft cocktail menu. Tucked away off C-ville Downtown Mall second floor gem

   The ambience was fantastic in Brookville. I really loved the indoor decor for a warm intimate brunch. As a coffee lover, I was very impressed by the use of french press instead of a coffee brewer. While the coffee is never quite as hot, it tastes all the better. My only complaint is about the butter. With the meal Brookville serves warm, soft cornbread with rock hard butter. It would behoove them to put the butter out to get to room temperature first. Trying to spread the butter on the cornbread was a foo's errand. The cornbread crumbled into dust.

   I was in Charlottesville to run a half marathon on Valentine's Day morning, and perhaps it was because it was a "holiday" that the Brookeville appeared to be severely understaffed by the time my friend and I came for a post-race lunch. We were seated immediately, but had to ask for water two times before our glasses were filled (whereas, other tables were seated and provided water immediately). It took at least 10-15 minutes after we were seated for the waitress to come to our table -- given, it seemed that there was only one server + the hostess for the entire restaurant. Having been a server in the past, I know it's hard to cover an entire restaurant by yourself, so I don't blame the server as much as I blame the management for understaffing on a weekend during prime brunch hours. With that said, once we were hydrated and caffeinated, my friend and I were more than happy to have a casual lunch. The food was delicious (we both ended up with breakfast sandwiches -- I had the bacon and she had the sausage), which were hefty in portion and absolutely delicious. Perfect after burning calories all morning. I would definitely give the Brookeville another try in the future, and hope that the service improves!

   While some of the food is not bad, it is very overpriced for what you get. An average person with a salad, entree, wine and desert will spend over $60 with tip. - that's one person. For a $7 desert I got one slice of bread with a little ice cream as a desert. My wife had finished a glass of wine and wanted a little more, but not a whole glass. Asked if they would sell her half a glass. They said they could charge her the full $10 and only give her half. We declined. There is nothing that prevents a restaurant

   We had a perfect dinner at Brookville. The food and service was excellant. It was a celebration for my son's 21st birthday, and they went out of their way to ensure it was celebrated with champagne and a birthday dessert. Did I say the food was outstanding? All around great find, and we have been coming to Charlottesville for years and had not discovered this place. The only minor issue was that it was a bit cold. A warm fire would be a nice addition.
