Really awesome cider house with excellent food. Had the sidrería tasting menu and the steak was incredible. The portions were pretty small, but I think it was enough food (small salad, small tortilla slice and small steak PLUS 2 cider catches for $45). Very reasonable, excellent service, friendly staff, and overall great experience. I have also been here with a large party and this place is perfect for big groups.
Place was nice ,food was excellent and drinks .a little dead even with The music ,need better music .
We've been to Brooklyn Cider House several times and it NEVER disappoints. A perfect place for casual dining, bigger celebrations, any occasion really. Amazing food, service, and CIDER!
Ate here at 630 on a Thursday night - it was pretty close to the train, easy for my parents to find parking, interesting neighborhood with lots of graffiti art and other cute places to eat and shop. The cider house is a pretty large space and it filled up both outside and inside by the time we left! Not surprised — the food was delicious, the service was great and they even had live music! We came here for Doggy Restaurant Week to support Muddy Paws Rescue and brought our own MP rescue pup to dine with us :) they were super accommodating and happy to have him as their guest!
I recommend the jumbo pretzel, shrimp and Korean chicken wings for apps and the chicken & waffles for dinner 😍 but everyone’s meals were delicious and devoured! No leftovers!
The cider choices were vast and interesting- something for everyone to enjoy even if they’re not typically a coder drinker. The cucumber cocktail was super refreshing for a summer evening.
Can’t wait to come back here for brunch!
The food was GREAT, much better than I anticipated. I will definitely be coming here again.
Good food and a very interesting selection of tasty ciders. Also some insight into the cider making process.
The wine is super affordable! The food was good but I wasn't super impressed. Delicious cider.
We loved the place! Ambience was awesome and food was delicious ❤️
Great experience for a large group (16) in a nice space worth great service
Must do the catching cider. It is a lot of fun! The pre-fix was a great deal and a nice intro to the restaurant.
Great! I love the ambiance and the food.
This place is well priced and the food is top notch!
Staff was very welcoming and accommodating and the service excellent; very attentive staff but not overbearing. We actually didn't have cider(!) but cocktails were excellent. The menu offers a lot of meat and non-meat options and a range of prices. We had smaller dishes, but I definitely want to return for a family-style dinner at some point. We sat outside, which was perfect. Indoors can get noisy - we were at the bar for awhile and the noise from larger parties was distracting, but highly recommend overall.
Absolutely LOVE Brooklyn Cider House! From the moment I walk in until I leave is a great experience. Service is pleasant and food is always great!
Catching and eating at bk cider house was awesome ! Delicious and fun for curious eaters!
A gem of a place! I'm so happy that I've discovered this Bushwick gem. The food, the service, the ambience, the CIDER, are all superb. After discovering it this past Saturday - had brunch then, I drove back on Sunday (50 minutes from home) to have lunch with my husband and daughter. You will not be disappointed.
Food was amazing and we had wonderful attention from our server. Love this place
We ordered the prix fixe dinner and it was very disappointing. There were three of us and they served the first course of one average sized plate with minimal vegetables, e.g. one asparagus per person. "Family style" implies a heaping dish of food to be shared by the table. The plate they served was something we'd expect to receive as an individual dish. Having to dole out one of each vegetable per person did not feel like an enjoyable dining experience. The tortilla de patata was delicious, and there was one nice portion per person. The main course "cauliflower steak" was also very odd and disappointing. For the two of us who chose the vegetarian option, we were each given a small piece of cauliflower (about 1/4 of a cauliflower) that was not in any way like a vegetarian v version of a Basque steak. It was sort of steamed, sort of grilled, and served with an unappealing (in look and taste) Indian-inspired sauce. We were expecting a Basque palette and something way more substantial. For $33 per person, it was not a very good meal both in quantity and quality. The party who had the actual steak received a good-sized portion and she said it was delicious. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the cider and very friendly, so that made up for the disappointing food.
The experience of the cider catching was so much fun! The ambiance is cool. The food on the tasting menu was not ideal.
Great food and very friendly. Went here for a bachelorette brunch and the bride had fun cider catching! Quite slow to get food (about an hour after ordering) but there were 10 of us!
Such a fun experience! The cider was delicious, and the staff were all very passionate and knowledgeable.
This was one of the best meals ever - from the food and drink itself to the great waitstaff to the ambiance!
It's a great spacious place. Nachos was not as I expected but still good. Ciders were great. Cool place to chill outside as well. One complaint though, I used maps to get there but I couldn't locate the place very easily. Maybe they should put a sign around to make it easy to find :)
This space is beautiful and the cider is weird and challenging and satisfying. I opted for "catching" cider right from the enormous barrels in the back. The food was good but came an hour and a half after we ordered. Might have been because we asked to be moved from an inside table to outside but it was still woeful service.
Birthday celebration. They were very sweet and put a candle in the birthday dessert.
Don’t miss catching your own cider. Fun place to enjoy a different libation, hang with friends and eat good food.
Chris and Emily are great, they are the reasons why I keep coming back. Brunch or lunch, this place is the best.
Food and ambiance are great, but the service is extremely slow. Would still go back!
Waitress was totally overwhelmed. very understaffed...service was much slower than it should have been
The fixed course was alright. The steak was definitely amazing. we also did the 2 catch tastings which will definitely get you drunk depending on how much you want to drink. The ciders we tasted were great.
Tried the Kite and String Rose Cider which was delicious & the caramelized onion burger was the best burger I’ve had in a while! Will definitely go back if in the area again
Very nice place, Very good food, decent service, and good drinks menu. Great outdoor terrace and the cider is super delicious. This is never a bad option!
Food was good enough, but the service was not. The hostess told us to find out own table, and the service was extremely slow. My food came out wrong, and the re-fire took almost 20 minutes. Probably won’t return.
The front desk staff ignored us for too long while the two of them had their nose in the computer trying to figure out where to put diners. I had to interrupt. It’s so easy to say “hello, we will be with you in a moment.” They has no clue. We almost left but decided to stay.
There was a large party being as loud as they could and we couldn’t hear ourselves think. We almost left then. The noise level here is WAY TOO LOUD.
I wanted the bibimbap but they were out. We should have left. I ordered the tacos and my son ordered a cheddar, bacon burger. The tacos were ok but the burger came WITHOUT the bacon or cheese. He was too hungry to send it back.
He lives in the neighborhood and I am looking for a local place to take him on occasion but it won’t be this place.
It was pretty quiet when we first arrived, but after a sudden rain storm everyone seated at the outside tables came in and it was pretty filled and lively. Food arrived quickly and was tasty--the pork knuckle is HUGE. I'd highly recommend experiencing the barrel tasting, the woman back there was so personable and knowledgeable. We ended up buying three bottles to take home. Great rose cider!
The meal was good but there was a ton of confusion about how to order with the set menu. Also it's weird that you can only do the cider pours directly from the barrel via the set menu. Why isn't that a drink option? Like order your food and 2 pours cost x. We went to a cider house in San Sebastián and if you are trying to make it more authentic drop the rules and give bread at the beginning of the meal.
If you enjoy cider, it was a relaxed place to go. Nice outdoor area.
Our food was good but served room temperature. We did not say anything as we had two babies with us and could not wait for it to be taken back and recooked.
Disappointing experience on my third time here. Food was slow to come out and quite cold. Had to wait a long time to get one of our drinks. Cider pouring/tasting was out of sync with the food courses. The staff would happily have taken us back to our table having barely even tasted the first pour. The restaurant seemed to be short staffed and there was a general feeling of disorganization. To be fair, the staff adjusted our bill at the end of the night, but I didn't enjoy it here as much as my earlier visits.
Brooklyn Cider House was such a cool spot. I loved the atmosphere of this place! It was a great spot to have lunch with a group of friends. Not too busy, but they did run out of a couple of menu items while we were there and said it was because it was Sunday. Drinks were great, and the staff was very friendly!
Very good place ! Very good food ! We like it !
