Basque
Brooklyn Cider House is New York City's first restaurant and bar with an onsite cidery. Come catch cider straight from ancient chestnut barrels throughout a 4-course dinner, inspired by the cider houses in the Basque region of Spain. The Brooklyn Cider House prix-fixe menu includes bone-in cowboy rib-eye steak, grilled vegetables, chorizo, Spanish tortilla, and cheese. Like the Basque cider houses we fell in love with, the dining experience is rustic, lively, and communal. Parties of all sizes are seated at the same time, getting up to catch and drink hard, natural cider between courses in our barrel room, making it the perfect spot for fun date nights, dinners with family and friends, and for special large group celebrations. For a more casual experience without a reservation, join us in our Tap Room anytime to explore different ciders and beers on tap and enjoy delicious pub fare like burgers, tacos and Korean style chicken wings. We also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Lovely experience with the cider catching! But it’s a one a done for my friends and I. Mostly because we are foodies and the food was extremely underwhelming in Taste and Presentation for the dinner Pri-Fix Menu.

The pre-fixe was an awesome experience! We came as a group of 10. Some of the dishes were incredible (basically anything in the first course)! Some were forgettable (basically anything from the second course). And some were in between. But we had so much fun and enjoyed great drinks and service, so I would definitely recommend it for a special night out.

Everything was fantastic from the food to the cider “catching” experience, we loved it!

Each course was thoughtfully prepared to ensure each ingredient was showcased. The ciders are delicious and pair well with the food.

The cider catching experience is unique and fun! Nate explained the whole process in an easy to understand way and answered all of our questions.

The space is awesome and the music they played was great. Will definitely be back!

The waitress was nice and the ambiance was fun. We ordered the food and that was no problem but the soup was cold when it arrived 45 minutes later and I had to ask if this was a hot soup or cold soup. They messed up the burger order our friend got and my last friend got the veggie platter and all the veggies were cold. When I got my chicken and waffles my chicken was hot but my waffle was legit burnt and black and it was cold. My friend even said: who let that leave the kitchen? When I asked for another waffle a little undercooked the waitress was nice but didn't take my plate. She came back 2 minutes later with a new waffle and I transferred the chicken over to my new plate... it was all a little odd... The drinks were good though.

This place was great! Food and drinks were good and the environment was good, however our server seem to not care about us at all. We had to track her down for many things and it took us putting on our coats (no intention of dining and dashing, just to get attention) for someone to realize we need a check. It was a shame because your server can really make or break your experience and I would be reluctant to recommend this place to a friend without a better personal experience. I won't say no to going to Brooklyn Cider House again, but I'll be wary of a repeat experience.

Brooklyn Cider House was an amazing experience! I went for my birthday and everything from the food to the service to the very cool cider catching was incredible. We were a table of four and the prix fixe menu was perfect. You can each pick the dish you want and then they're all brought out to the table family style so its easy to share. Can't recommending this place more, perfect for a special occasion or just a fun night!

I prefer wine with my food, but drinking cider was a fun experience. The food is very good. Servings were more than adequate. The cider is interesting and tasty. Fun atmosphere for a group. A bit noisy on a Saturday night.

We are a group of older persons who sometimes are dismayed by noise in restaurants.
Also the bench seating was not the most comfortable. Cider-very good- food excellent and Santiago delightful! we hope to return for brunch or for supper and try things off the prix fixe menu.

I loved the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant: High ceiling, Large wall mural, and A wall of ciders behind the bar. It is truly a great sight. Service was amazing; the waiters and every staff member we met was welcoming and friendly. I recommend the prix-fixe menu. 4 course meal with home-brewed cider in between each course. Great bang for the buck

The Brooklyn Cider house is always amazing. The food is great the drinks are great. But you have to go into it know that the kitchen can be a little slow. If you know that then you will have an amazing time. I go here at least twice a month.

We were there for the Valentine’s Day prix-fix menu.
We had the Burata and lobster bisque as appetizers which both were excellent.
Next we both had the steak and lobster which were cooked perfectly.
And for dessert they served a yummy flourless chocolate cake.
And best of all between servings we got to enjoy the cider Catchings with a Guide explaining the history of each of the cider barrels and ingredients.
To top it off we proceeded to the bar for after dinner drinks and enjoy the wonderful live music from Belle-Skinner.
All in all a great night with excellent ambience.

The Brooklyn Cider House is a fun, lively interesting option for an evening with friends and family.
The staff is wonderful, the setting is cool, the food is delicious, but the best part was the interesting tours and tastes of the various cider barrels, led by very engaging and informative guides.
The whole experience was hip and wonderful. Love the place and will definitely recommend the BCH to everyone!

Delicious, funky cider (one of the best fermenty ciders I’ve ever had) in a fun/relaxed atmosphere. Didn’t get food this time, but the menu looked amazing. I’m bookmarking this spot for brunch in very near future.

A wonderful way to celebrate my birthday but compared to last year, service was a little lacking. We waited a very long time in between each course and waited for each cider round. However, The food is a wonderful pairing with the cider tasting, and continues to impress me based on the freshness of the produce and the overall quality of each course. Overall, I would recommend for large parties and something "different".

I love Brooklyn Cider House and I will certainly return, but my experience on Saturday, January 12, 2019 was an odd one. Simply put, the service was terrible / nonexistent. I'm sure everything could've been explained with logic and understanding but the radius of error and non-deliverables was wide. Sh*t may have very well hit the fan but my girlfriend's birthday was ever so jaded by thorough discombobulation. I'd have preferred a little extra . . . something . . . to expel the sour taste it temporarily left us.
