First time coming here and it was an amazing experience especially for a date night. I loved the ambiance and the overall seating and dining experience. When coming I recommend to catch the cider in the back that was fun!
Awesome, unique spot with great vibes and great food!
Great time!
Loved our experience at Brooklyn Cider House. The food was delicious and I really liked tasting the cider flight for $11.
Lovely Sunday afternoon. Good atmosphere, food, and service.
It was wonderful! Great spot to spend a few hours and catch up with friends.
We had a group of 9 and we enjoyed our experience - good food, good service, fun atmosphere, lots of ciders. Our waiter did a good job of accommodating our large group.
The food is amazing, the ambience is intimate, which is a feat for such a large complex. We simply had an atrocious server this particular evening. I’d come back if I could ensure a different server.
Servers were not attentive. Food was great, the drinks were great. Only able to get fast drinks from the bar, at our table everything was way too slow and we were pretty much ignored. Food and drinks made up for it.
Loved our experience there, very accommodating and the food was exceptional, experience was great.
We had been to the location upstate and wanted to try the Bushwick spot for Valentine’s Day. We had the pre fixe menu which was delicious however a little unequally yolked for my vegetarian partner (I had surf and turf, she had veggie bipimbop, same price). Kitchen got really backed up so the whole experience took quite a while - the staff sensed we were getting tired of waiting but luckily first comped our bottle of cava, and then our cocktails. Free alcohol does help with these things. Highlight was participating in the cider catching. Would be open to trying the kitchen again on a normal night instead of a holiday.
Food was only fair and this is clearly a place for young people - much younger than my wife and myself. The noise level was extremely high as the restaurant filled.
Service was above and beyond. Food was good.
Fun atmosphere & great food.
Loved this place
We came from Florida for the weekend, and made the Cider House our dinner destination because last year we went and it was absolutely amazing. This year the food was very disappointing. The food was very bland, and borderline sent it back. We didn’t even finish our entree it was so bad. The service was good and the cider catching was fun as usual. Next year we may go for cider, but will skip any food.
We ended up walking to Artichoke pizza down the road to eat.
That place is awesome!
smallest portions ever, really not nice to "underfeed" paying guests.
My soup bowl was literally 1/4 full.
We enjoyed the cider tasting and the service in the cider room was excellent - we were even lucky enough to chat with the owner who was so lovely and interesting. However, the portions for the price fixe menu were very small for the price and we left hungry. Good for large groups, but eat beforehand!
A must try - if you haven't been. Food was amazing and service was great. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for with my group of friends and so many picture perfect moments. Alsoo .. the apple turnover is a MUST HAVE, they make their own ice cream!!
Great evening with friends! Very fun cider catching and the wait staff was very chill and enjoyable to chat with.
Amazing experience! Definitely try the cider catching, was a lot of fun. The restaurant is also beautiful.
I was really excited for this dinner. I booked a 6.45 reservation for 5 people. We added a 6th last minute and the person I spoke with on the phone asked us to come early to accommodate the extra person. No problem. We got our first course (burata and soup, which came out cold) around 8pm I think. We ended up leaving at 9.45 with our desserts packed in a bag because we could not stay in the restaurant any longer. The food was good. But this was a pre-fixe menu and I cannot fathom why it was so delayed. It was NYE, so I understand they were busy. But by the time we left the staff was literally breaking down the dining room for the party they were having that night. Truly one of the most bizarre dining experiences I have had.
Excellent place. Just go.
Amazing great time
Catching cider was pretty cool, highly recommend you catch it yourself.
Go for the cider and donuts. Food is okay but is overpriced considering the small portions. Love the venue. You can see the ginormous barrels of cider, which is cool. Love the in-house rose cider(sweet and bubbly) and half-sour cider(not too sweet, tart, refreshing) .
What a fantastic place to go to. Great service and the food was to die for. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
Would go back again and again
Fun ambiance, service was slow, great for groups!!
My girlfriend and I tried out this restaurant for the first time. Perhaps it is comparable for the area, but the prices were very high for the quality and quantity of food. We ended up ordering a third main to split to feel barely satisfied. Additionally, the service was rather slow for there being so few people in the restaurant. There were a few mistakes eith the meal, and I was given the wrong bill at the end of the meal and it had to be corrected.
Fun atmosphere to go with a group. Friendly people, good food, good prices.
A wonderful place to host a large group! The waiters were incredibly accommodating and were clearly were very seasoned in knowing how to handle such a big group! And Cider Catching was so fun! What a great activity sprinkled into dinner.
Very small portions for family-style. Our server was not very attentive, obviously aware that he was getting an automatic 20% gratuity for our party of 8. The cider catching was the best part, but we were not introduced to the experience and were pretty confused about what to do and how it worked.
El restaurante me ha sorprendido para bien, la camarera fue muy agradable, lo mas divertido es haber podido escanciar la sidra directamente desde un inmenso barril. Creo que es un sitio perfecto para ir con amigos.
My brunch experience at the Brooklyn Cider House was wonderful! Although my entire party of 11 did not show up at the same time, they still graciously sat us and allowed the party to file in as people arrived. The service was outstanding. Everyone was very patient and helpful (which is so refreshing to find in NYC!), and the cider catch made the brunch extra fun. Highly recommend!
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried, though the burger is one of the best I’ve had...ever
This was a great surprise. Catching the cider was super fun and the meal was great. I will defiantly be back.
Our server, Michael, was excellent- he was very personable and attentive, including remembering names in our party. Food was fair- large pretzels were overdone and the steak rice bowl was lacking in overall seasoning and acid. Cider was delicious, and we all enjoyed ourselves so we would be willing to give the food another try.
Great food, selection of ciders was great - I'm not normally a cider person but they had something for everyone's tastes!
Service was awful - this was the 3rd time I've been here and each time we have barely been visited by any wait staff and it takes forever for any requests. Each time we would have ordered an additional round of drinks but it took so long it wasn't worth it
The place is definitely worth visiting, but make sure you have ample time to do so!
Celebrated my last two birthdays at the Brooklyn Cider House - both times were very memorable. The prix fixe menu and cider catches make for a very unique experience that all my friends enjoyed very much and I think it's well worth the price. I hope that they bring back the 3 cider catches option though...
I came with a birthday party and our party size changed multiple times throughout the afternoon (aka: we were the worst). The staff was incredibly accommodating, and the cider was great. Do the cider catching, it's a once in a lifetime experience, you'll learn a lot!
