Brooklyn Cider House is New York City's first restaurant and bar with an onsite cidery. Come catch cider straight from ancient chestnut barrels throughout a 3-course dinner, inspired by the cider houses in the Basque region of Spain. The Brooklyn Cider House prix-fixe menu includes bone-in cowboy rib-eye steak, grilled vegetables, chorizo, and Spanish tortilla. Like the Basque cider houses we fell in love with, the dining experience is rustic, lively, and communal. Parties of all sizes are seated at the same time, getting up to catch and drink hard, natural cider between courses in our barrel room, making it the perfect spot for fun date nights, dinners with family and friends, and for special large group celebrations. For a more casual experience without a reservation, join us in our Tap Room anytime to explore different ciders and beers on tap and enjoy delicious pub fare like burgers, tacos and Korean style chicken wings. We also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Very small portions for family-style. Our server was not very attentive, obviously aware that he was getting an automatic 20% gratuity for our party of 8. The cider catching was the best part, but we were not introduced to the experience and were pretty confused about what to do and how it worked.

El restaurante me ha sorprendido para bien, la camarera fue muy agradable, lo mas divertido es haber podido escanciar la sidra directamente desde un inmenso barril. Creo que es un sitio perfecto para ir con amigos.

My brunch experience at the Brooklyn Cider House was wonderful! Although my entire party of 11 did not show up at the same time, they still graciously sat us and allowed the party to file in as people arrived. The service was outstanding. Everyone was very patient and helpful (which is so refreshing to find in NYC!), and the cider catch made the brunch extra fun. Highly recommend!

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried, though the burger is one of the best I’ve had...ever

Our server, Michael, was excellent- he was very personable and attentive, including remembering names in our party. Food was fair- large pretzels were overdone and the steak rice bowl was lacking in overall seasoning and acid. Cider was delicious, and we all enjoyed ourselves so we would be willing to give the food another try.

Great food, selection of ciders was great - I'm not normally a cider person but they had something for everyone's tastes!

Service was awful - this was the 3rd time I've been here and each time we have barely been visited by any wait staff and it takes forever for any requests. Each time we would have ordered an additional round of drinks but it took so long it wasn't worth it

The place is definitely worth visiting, but make sure you have ample time to do so!

Celebrated my last two birthdays at the Brooklyn Cider House - both times were very memorable. The prix fixe menu and cider catches make for a very unique experience that all my friends enjoyed very much and I think it's well worth the price. I hope that they bring back the 3 cider catches option though...

I came with a birthday party and our party size changed multiple times throughout the afternoon (aka: we were the worst). The staff was incredibly accommodating, and the cider was great. Do the cider catching, it's a once in a lifetime experience, you'll learn a lot!

The food was cold and they were a little too understaffed on a Saturday morning to give good service.

Food was meh. Don’t order anything Spanish, or actually anything not American.

Service was BAD as other reviewers said. They simply don’t have enough servers so it’s incredibly slow.

Went on Thursday night and there was a band and dollar wings.

The service was amazing. Everybody there was super nice and the ambiance was great. Such a well designed space and is very cool. We ordered the charcuterie board and cheese to start. For $22, it was incredibly underwhelming and did not include much food. Had only 3 small pieces of meat on it. We ordered the grilled vegatbale board. Everything on there was very undercooked and not seasoned at all. Very disappointing, especially for $17. It was a large platter, just not well executed. The croquetas and the korean chicken wings were excellent though. The cider catching was definitely the most unique aspect to this place. It’s a must do!

Get the burger, not the steak. Also, the bone dry cider is the best!

The food and ambience was awesome. The waiter kept on forgetting our orders and at one pt brought out the wrong one. At times, some of us had our food 10 minutes before others. It was very unpredictable. Hope it’s just that one waiter and not the restaurant in general. Would still go and also recommend.

Really awesome cider house with excellent food. Had the sidrería tasting menu and the steak was incredible. The portions were pretty small, but I think it was enough food (small salad, small tortilla slice and small steak PLUS 2 cider catches for $45). Very reasonable, excellent service, friendly staff, and overall great experience. I have also been here with a large party and this place is perfect for big groups.

Ate here at 630 on a Thursday night - it was pretty close to the train, easy for my parents to find parking, interesting neighborhood with lots of graffiti art and other cute places to eat and shop. The cider house is a pretty large space and it filled up both outside and inside by the time we left! Not surprised — the food was delicious, the service was great and they even had live music! We came here for Doggy Restaurant Week to support Muddy Paws Rescue and brought our own MP rescue pup to dine with us :) they were super accommodating and happy to have him as their guest!
I recommend the jumbo pretzel, shrimp and Korean chicken wings for apps and the chicken & waffles for dinner 😍 but everyone’s meals were delicious and devoured! No leftovers!
The cider choices were vast and interesting- something for everyone to enjoy even if they’re not typically a coder drinker. The cucumber cocktail was super refreshing for a summer evening.
Can’t wait to come back here for brunch!

Staff was very welcoming and accommodating and the service excellent; very attentive staff but not overbearing. We actually didn't have cider(!) but cocktails were excellent. The menu offers a lot of meat and non-meat options and a range of prices. We had smaller dishes, but I definitely want to return for a family-style dinner at some point. We sat outside, which was perfect. Indoors can get noisy - we were at the bar for awhile and the noise from larger parties was distracting, but highly recommend overall.

A gem of a place! I'm so happy that I've discovered this Bushwick gem. The food, the service, the ambience, the CIDER, are all superb. After discovering it this past Saturday - had brunch then, I drove back on Sunday (50 minutes from home) to have lunch with my husband and daughter. You will not be disappointed.

We ordered the prix fixe dinner and it was very disappointing. There were three of us and they served the first course of one average sized plate with minimal vegetables, e.g. one asparagus per person. "Family style" implies a heaping dish of food to be shared by the table. The plate they served was something we'd expect to receive as an individual dish. Having to dole out one of each vegetable per person did not feel like an enjoyable dining experience. The tortilla de patata was delicious, and there was one nice portion per person. The main course "cauliflower steak" was also very odd and disappointing. For the two of us who chose the vegetarian option, we were each given a small piece of cauliflower (about 1/4 of a cauliflower) that was not in any way like a vegetarian v version of a Basque steak. It was sort of steamed, sort of grilled, and served with an unappealing (in look and taste) Indian-inspired sauce. We were expecting a Basque palette and something way more substantial. For $33 per person, it was not a very good meal both in quantity and quality. The party who had the actual steak received a good-sized portion and she said it was delicious. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the cider and very friendly, so that made up for the disappointing food.

It's a great spacious place. Nachos was not as I expected but still good. Ciders were great. Cool place to chill outside as well. One complaint though, I used maps to get there but I couldn't locate the place very easily. Maybe they should put a sign around to make it easy to find :)

This space is beautiful and the cider is weird and challenging and satisfying. I opted for "catching" cider right from the enormous barrels in the back. The food was good but came an hour and a half after we ordered. Might have been because we asked to be moved from an inside table to outside but it was still woeful service.
