Brooklyn Cafe Ratings and Reviews
Neighborhood place where everyone's a regular and everyone knows your name. Menu hardly ever changes, which can be good or bad. Great crab cakes, gluten free with no filler. Opted for the one crab cake salad, nice fresh mixed greens. Served with a very odd side with a tomatoes with some corn kernels on top. . . .in January??? The space is tight seating but heard that they are expanding into adjacent space. Probably a good move but think they need to step it up a bit.
Went here for a family dinner celebrating a birthday. As always the food was well-prepared. Waitstaff is professional and friendly. Nice neighborhood spot. Nice wine list. For a starter I like the smoked salmon. Our entrees included braised short ribs, a steak salad and I had the trout special. All were happy. We had a bottle of Beaujolais Cru to go along with the meal.
This is a neighborhood restaurant that we have been going to for the last 30 years.
The waiters are great and they always have great specials. My favorite is the crab cake
salad and my husbands favorite is the steak salad. You can bring your own wine and
they do not charge a corking fee. The food is always wonderful and consistent. The
atmosphere is casual and comfortable.
Food was outstanding! However, our table location was terrible, along a wall in the flow of people going in and out of the bathrooms and kitchen. In addition, the table was so close to the bar that waiters and waitresses were constantly walking behind my chair, sometimes bumping it.
Fabulous from start to finish. Nicole our server was one of the most pleasant and engaging people I’ve encountered in any business. Food is very simple but done so very very well. Wine prices are amazing definitely worth buying a bottle. Crab bisque A+ same goes for the rack of lamb and NY strip. A gem of a place all around!
First time in a while for lunch and it's every bit as good as dinner! I met a friend from out of town for a quick lunch and he was very impressed with the food and service. It's a straightforward menu with a few dishes from the dinner options. I had a Caesar salad with five beautiful shrimp and he had a burger.
Brooklyn Cafe never disappoints!
