Great for our anniversary. Excellent bourbon drinks also.
First time having brunch. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Service was excellent!
The food is delicious. The atmosphere/building is cool. Service was great; however, the bartender must have been swamped as the only things we had to wait on were the drinks. The Lantern Room underneath was cool, although no bar down there - just dining tables.
Service was excellent! Definitely try the nmoonlit majesty. One of the prettiest and tastiest drinks I have ever had!
This was our first visit and it definitely won't be our last. Food and cocktails were amazing.
Meh. 5th time here, zero luck. Won’t come back. Entrees were luke warm. “Shareable” - Potatoes were the hottest thing on the table and no way shareable size but shareable price. No bread or anything on the table. Had to ask for salt/pepper and butter for lobster. We felt rushed. 4 people, 45 minutes. No Miller Lite.
Ambiance was nice. Great decor. That’s it. When they came to serve the food they served across the table instead beside you. Kinda weird. I got the Oscar 75.00ish. A small quarter of a tomato, 7 oz filet with crabmeat with bearnaise sauce and asparagus. Nothing was hot. Luke warm at best. My husband put butter on his steak and it did not melt. There were shells in my lobster and I am not so sure there was bearnaise sauce. Very disappointing and we will not be back. My husband got a steak and mashed potatoes. He had a gin and tonic and I had an old fashion. Including tip we spent 200.00. It’s not a Jeff Ruby’s or a Morton’s food wise. Definitely not worth that kind of money.
Outstanding experience. First time there but definitely not the last!
Enjoyed our brunch but the food was just average and the service was slow.
Great place great food. Highly recommend trying at least once.
Our waitress was wonderful! The entire staff worked together to create a memorable experience.
I found this to be a beautiful environment where conversation and laughter occurred with ease. ReAnn was very attentive and we all (6) had a great time.
Brought my wife here for her birthday. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent. They have a sphere was great but the lighting could’ve been a notch brighter. Pricey but not someplace I would eat more than once a year.
Ribeye was great. It's a little pricey at $47. The pork chop was slightly tough. The cocktails were great though and the overall experience left us wanting to return and try some different dishes.
Food was great. The room was very loud and hard to hear the other person at my table. We will definitely return.
thankyou for having such a wonderful restaurant in New Albany.
our server was discrete but attentive.
the food was exquisite. We had the Oscar, knife just glided through
Well worth it.
Will frequent againl
Amazing dinner! Get the Filet or the Ribeye. Can’t go wrong with either!!! Great service!
Fantastic dinner. Great service. The steak tartare is particularly inventive and flavorful!
The food was excellent and reasonably priced (brunch menu). Only slightly disappointed that they did not have sausage for the breakfast plate. Overall, would recommend.
I highly recommend this place
The steak was not impressive, an okay cut of meat but no flavor. For the price I would expect to be able to eat it with out needing steak sauce but it was very bland. My wife ordered a steak well done and it was completely dried out.
I would happily pay for a good steak but will not return to this place. The price was way to high for the quality.
I would highly recommend Brooklyn and The Butcher! We went to celebrate my birthday and everything was on point. We walked in and was greeted by welcoming faces, the place was very clean, the food was amazing, and our waiter (Bryce) was awesome!! Thanks for a great experience!!
I had the pork chop and corn succotash and it was just amazing!! The service as always was great!
Brooklyn and the Butcher is just another overpriced restaurant wanting to cater to the "in" crowd. They charge for every little thing and it can't possibly be justified because the food falls flat. My meal was fine and I was pleased though not with the 6$ charge for a small ramekin of the topping I ordered, I thought it would come smothered onto my steak so as to be visually appealing but it was still a decent meal. My husband on the other hand, bless his poor unsatisfied soul, ordered the Au Poivre. Let's start with the broccoli which was under-cooked, room temp and devoid of seasoning. Next, the "whipped" potatoes...whoever made those potatoes should be whipped, seriously have they heard of salt? The kitchen does at least have peppercorn though they do not know how to use it. Why, why in the name of all that is holy and good would you just slap whole peppercorns onto a 53$ NY strip and deign to call it " peppercorn and brandy cream"?! Never in my life have I spit out steak so fast and been so completely repulsed and sourly disappointed. One would imagine the pepper being crushed and cooked into this "brandy cream" they speak of and hope that you get some overwhelmingly heavy and thick taste of man's food that makes your taste buds sigh in delight but I digress, if you want a steak and fancy toppings you would be better off going to Longhorn's Steakhouse or cooking it at home. Either way you won't have to look at or pay for the poorly chosen decor, if I wanted to see Brooklyn I'd go there. They did a disservice to the grandeur of the old building( especially having a speakeasy) why not a 1920's or 1930's aesthetic to go with your "hip" idea of having drinks in the basement.
Our server Courtney was so sweet and the food was amazing!
Superb as always!
Excellent all around. Sat in the bar area and Courtney was fantastic, serving drinks and taking care of dinner patrons. Very professional and personable as well. We will definitely be returning for both the quality of the food and the service.
Everything was amazing!! Can’t wait to bring some friends for a double date soon!
Great atmosphere with great food and service.
This restaurant was a pleasant surprise! We ate outside at the patio which was nice and private and relaxing. All good was excellent (between us we had shrimp cocktail—nice slightly spicy cocktail sauce with medium sized shrimp, lobster bisque—generous portion and so deliciously creamy, steakhouse salad—wonderful salad, dry aged ribeye Brooklyn style—looked incredible but it was my husbands entree, 12 oz ribeye—perfectly cooked, seasoned and delicious all on its own, candied Brussel sprouts—I’ve never been a fan but I could have eaten the entire bowl myself, and cheesecake with caramel sauce—perfect ending. The service was incredible—great recommendations, speedy and extremely kind. We will definitely be back!
Hands down, one of the top five restaurants in this area. Louisville/Indiana. Well worth the trip from Louisville. Steak was perfectly cooked and our server, Blake , and her team gave top notch service. Thank you.
Great food and service as always. The owners even wrote a special birthday note, very thoughtful. When we arrived it was so nice outside that we last-minute requested to sit in their newly updated outdoor patio dining area and they were so accommodating, it was a perfect night. Will definitely return soon.
The food was incredible! The staff was attentive and friendly. I love that the restaurant was opened in a historic building and how they included the hotel theme in some areas.
We love the dinner service but brunch was pretty disappointing. Most of the food at the table was barely warm and kind of mushy. You could tell it had all been made ahead of time. Just expected a bit more high end for the price. The bananas fosters french toast seemed to be the only hit at the table. It was really good and you got a lot more of it for the price than any of the other options we had. The coffee and the drink cocktails were great, liked those a lot. And the service was perfect, waitress was wonderful. We will be back for dinner but probably not the brunch.
Thank you for a great evening.
Our pleasure Don! Hope to have you with us again soon!
Excellent food and service. Love it.
Happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us! Come back soon!
It was a great experience. We had heard of the restaurant and wanted to try it and we both ended up loving it! I highly recommend it to people!
Thank you for your kind words! Look forward to your next visit!
Service was outstanding! Food and cocktails were excellent as well. Historic New Albany is a lovely location to visit.
Thank you David! We agree, Downtown New Albany is magical!
Love going here on Thursday for their $2 oysters and $2 bubbly.
Everything was excellent including the staff and ambiance. Appetizer and the bread was mmmm mmmm mmmm good . Also, we lucked out and got the domestic beer special which was awesome. The only thing I would have to say is the steak was just ok. I’ve had better at Texas Roadhouse. We had a good time.
