Brooklyn and the Butcher
Knowledgable staff, excellent dishes and steak features.
One of of favorite places.
The buffet was a nice surprise. We loved it food was fresh and tasty.
It took an hour and a half from order time to get food to the table. Steaks were cold and had sat in the window waiting on sides. The steaks were all overdone because of this. Problem with the sides as well. Expensive meal that didn’t measure up.
I made reservations for our anniversary weeks in advance and they seated us in the busiest spot at a table for 4. There were booths that seemed more appropriate seating for a couple celebrating their anniversary, especially if the restaurant knew of the occasion in advance. Just poor planning. The restaurant is beautiful. The waiter was very nice but pushy, we felt rushed to order. The seasoning on the steak is just plain awful. The best part of the evening was the bread. The dress code is smart casual and the hostess was wearing jeans and a pair of slides in barefeet! She wasn't dressed for a 5 star restaurant hostess.
We waited 10 min and were the only people there the host, a young man. Didn't deal to us for 10 min then said you all can come with me. We just sat there waiting on him to say. We will be ready in 10 min thank you, for your patience any thing. Except he just stood behind the desk looking around. For 10 while min. While we just looked at each other uncomfortable. We almost just left, im glad we did not our food was delicious and our sever was great.
This was a fantastic surprise in New Albany.! Food was some of the best I ever had - salads large and well done, the steaks are great - and perhaps the best side order of mushrooms ever. They must have the seafood flown in, my oysters had never been frozen. A bit pricey but worth it!
Great food & service. Very unique atmosphere, I'd absolutely try if you're in the area!
Sat later than others that arrived after us even though we were on time and made a reservation. Very hot needs better A/C.
Celebrating our 10th Anniversary. Great food and service!
The previous times we dined at this restaurant the waiters were very knowledgeable about the wines and even offered us an item not on the wine list. This time the waiter did not seem to know much or want to sell us on any wines. We enjoy tasting something different when we are dining out. The food was excellent as always!
Loved every bit of it and the music....the food and service was excellent
This was the best way to celebrate our 16 year Anniversary. The food and service was amazing. Can't wait to go back..
First visit to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. Couldn’t have picked a better venue. Food was top notch!
Delicious and perfectly cooked steaks. Waited awhile on drinks, but I mentioned it was a birthday dinner and they were kind enough to give us a treat after our meal. Nice evening.
We have been dining at Brooklyn and the Butcher since they opened on Valentines day several years ago. We are always impressed with every aspect of our favorite restaurant.
Food was excellent as was the service.
The service and the atmosphere/ambiance were excellent. The staff was very attentive and the pace of the courses was perfect. While our steaks were prepared as requested, they did not rise to the level we anticipated. We have enjoyed better pieces of meat for significantly less money.
We decided to try the "Bluegrass Brunch" on Sunday Sept. 15. We had a reservation for 1:30 pm. When we arrived we were not greeted by a server for at least a full 5 minutes. We ordered tea and filled out our waffle order and omelet. We visited the buffet and were disappointed to find that several items were out. We were halfway through our plates before teas arrived and the waffle and omelet orders picked up. There were several food items never refilled and the waffles came out 30 minutes later, and one of them was wrong. We were served butter that tasted like the garlic butter they serve with steaks. We asked for our check, and 10 minutes later the server asked us if we wanted our check. Not a good experience. If the buffet will not be refilled and kept clean during the entirety of the brunch service, then you need to stop reservations earlier in the day.
We loved the Sunday Brunch! Everything tasted extremely fresh and high quality. We will definitely be back. 19.99 per person with $1 mimosas! Highly recommend.
By far the best brunch buffet around, especially for the money. $19.99 for a brunch buffet that includes steak! Plus $1 mimosas. Can't beat it.
Very good brunch. Reasonable price.
I've been wanting to come to this place for a few years but never had the money. Let me tell you, if you are going out and celebrating a special occasion this place is great. The building itself is pretty neat to just enjoy, the staff are downright awesome, and the food is exquisite.
We have been here 5 times or so. Every time is a wonderful experience. The food is amazing and we are very comfortable bringing special friends and family here knowing the experience will be grand.
It was a well mannered excellent meal . the steak was excellent . the service was outstanding . our wattress was always right there with feedback and drinks making sure we were well taken care of .
I took my children and fiance there for their birthday celebration. Everyone enjoyed.
We went to Brooklyn and The Butcher to celebrate our recent engagement and it was wonderfu! Amazing food, service, and atmosphere.
Brunch buffet was incredible! The quality of food was so good. They had made to order waffles and omelets, bourbon salmon cooked perfectly, sirloin tips, country fried steak, sausage, bacon, fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, eggs, greens, potatoes, cauliflower grits, salad. Plenty of pastries. Will go back
Everything was wonderful from the food to the service. The cauliflower grits on the brunch buffet were amazingly decadent.
Our brunch visit was top notch. The food and service was outstanding as we’ve come to expect and appreciate being repeat diners. We normally come for dinner but bunch was a nice change of pace. You guys are great. Keep doing what you’re doing and we’ll keep coming back. Thanks
The restaurant was very nice. Service was great. Food was great. I have highly recommended this restaurant to everyone.
Awesome food nice atmosphere
Great staff and even better food. Go here! You will not regret it!
Brooklyn and The Butcher is a great place to celebrate a special occassion or have that special date night. The food is outstanding and the service is spot on. We had steak and it was fantastic. Do not miss a chance to order the Lobster Mac and Cheese it is a winner. We shared the dessert, it did not disappoint. Highly recommend Brooklyn and The Butcher for a wonderful, memorable night out.
Our first experience here was outstanding. We had some corporate persons down for a visit and we took them there and our overall experience was remarkable. From the time we walked into the front door and was seated to our first interaction with our waitress (and all interactions with her were great), to the food and the ambience (which was quiet enough you could chat without yelling or really raising your voice. Our waitress was superb, very knowledgeable on the wine list, menu, deserts, etc. she really did a great job.
Great service and drinks, steaks and sides were delicious and you’re doing yourself a disservice to not check them out.
We loved Brooklyn and The Butcher from the moment we entered the doors. It felt like you were in New York itself! The atmosphere was relaxing yet classy! Our server was excellent and met of our needs. The food was delicious and served promptly. We will definitely be back. We want to try the Sunday brunch sometime soon.
Brunch was delicious. My waffle was one of the best I’ve ever had!! We will definitely be going back.
Noise level too much
