One of my favorites in LA. The food is amazing. I took my son there for a special dinner. We had Brussels, octopus, and the red snapper. All exceptional dishes.

The server was absolutely the best. We both had dietary restrictions and she made suggestions and adjusted some ingredients to fit our needs. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name otherwise I’d suggest you always ask for her.

Broken Spanish is a must when you’re in LA.

I give this placed slight lower marks because the busboy lied about not having sliced serranos and I found it disturbing that the waitress right away said yes we have them. Then another assistant to the waitress dropped silverware on my back never apologized and left food on my back without saying anything. This place is not cheap and we expect much netter service than this.

We went for their chicharones, we got upsold the tortillas with lentils and cabbage. It was incredibly expensive and not worth the price. It was $67 for what basically was an appetizer. Chairs were uncomfortable, would not return.

This was my first visit but definitely not my last. Four of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience. All food and drinks were great, but the Papas stood out. Like the biscuits at Everson Royce, this simple dish is out of the park good.

It is a fun place, with phenomenal food. I can't even tell you what one thing I liked the most, although my husband raved about your short ribs. I would just recommend that you find a way for your tortillas to stay hot and they were a tad dry for my liking but maybe that is what blue corn tastes like.

Great margarita!! The almond I has with duck meatballs was wonderful and the tostada was good too. Loved the zucchini and corn tamale and the chuck Ron was Delish!!

I should preface that I'm Mexican, worked in Mexican restaurants, a devoted amateur chef, and a big foodie.
Arrived for reservation on time and offered a great two-top by a window. Waiter came to take our drink order. Two tables were sat next to us. About fifteen minutes later, we had no drinks and the other two tables did. We asked about them and they were brought out five minutes after that. We ordered three appetizers including the cheese pot. We stuck the spoon in to get the cheese on our plate but almost the entire pot of cheese just came out with the spoon. It wasn't melted enough to serve in any reasonable way. Either they served it prematurely or their pots don't retain heat. We had to get up twice to get service over the next hour. We had one of those servers quite amazing at never making eye contact while helping everyone around us. The chili relleno was just okay. The barbacoa was fantastic, rich and flavorful. The meatballs were exceptional. The cheese pot, a mess. The bill was over 250.00!! Two cocktails and two glasses of wine each, three appetizers, one shared vegetable, one shared entree. That's crazy for a less than mediocre experience service wise and a slightly above-average meal food-wise. Though, the cocktails seem to be their strong suit. Highly suggested that you have a drink to make that price tag bearable. Oddly, valet was atrocious. Took something like twenty minutes after taking our ticket to find, return our car. Probably unrelated to restaurant. But they should look at that partnership if they can.

Every item we ordered was terrific -- well prepared, well thought out, delicious. The waiter helped with many suggestions and even got one member of our party a special non-alcoholic drink that wasn't on the menu. Can't wait to try it again.

The food and drinks were excellent, making up for the unfortunate fire alarm experience. The dining room was on the loud side, requiring us to speak loudly. Even so, we had a great time. Highly recommend the barbacoa.

The food was good but there were a couple issues that made the visit less than ideal. The biggest issue was with the noise level. We asked to be in the main room bc the back room is typically so so loud. There was a large and extremely loud party sitting in the middle bar seating that made it impossible to hear. I understand the difficulty of the situation for the wait staff but I would've hoped the wait staff or management would've addressed the party. There were several other tables looking at the party and turning around bc of the noise.

Also, we asked for our food to come out all together, it did not; our tortillas came out before our mains; and our water glasses were not re-filled even though we put them at the end of the table and kept trying to get the wait staffs' attention.

Food, as always, was outstanding. But the service was bad. Courses were not well planned, and we had to wait and wait and wait for food to come out. They actually forgot one course until we reminded them. This is the first bad experience we’ve had in many times coming here, so hopefully they were just having an off night.

My boyfriend and I love this restaurant, we’ve been coming here since 2017, when we had our 1st date. The food is clean, uncomplicated, and delicious. It will leave you satisfied and thinking about the next time you return. You can taste the passion and see the great teamwork.

Food was wonderful, had a great time. We drove pretty far in to get the happy hour which on the website says mon - fri. When we arrived our server told us there is no happy hour, a bit of a bummer since we planned specifically for that. But beyond that everything was good

My daughter, grandson and I frequent this restaurant for special occasions. The food is excellent and so is the service. We think this restaurant is one of Los Angeles's best. We always look forward to returning.

First time there off a recommendation and it was well worth it. Slight learning curve to ordering the food as it is meant to share but I gave it 5 stars because I will return and because I would have no problem recommending this place to my mother or my boss.

The service and attention to detail was great. Drinks were crafted well and very balanced to pair with the rich food. Their take on Mexican food was interesting and delicious. Ultimately , we went to try the desserts from Chef Marquez. We saw his creativity on the show Chopped and it did not disappoint in person. We would go back again as it was a very delightful experience overall.

Service and ambiance was excellent. We had two drinks and two appetizers so I can’t comment on the entrees. I must say it was very expensive and you have to order/pay for tortillas separately from an appetizer that requires them. Our bill came to $74 for the order. The entrees were even higher so be prepared.
The ratio of high cost to value is the only reason I won’t return.
