Same waiter came to our table asking for desserts 5 times disrupting our conversation. What kind of service is that?

Stopped here before going to a Lakers game. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Drinks were delicious. I'll be back!

Broken Spanish was a very big disappointment. Our waiter was terrible, we had to signal him several times to take our order, and then for him to return to take our order for a wine bottle. The food was served before the wine arrived. The waiter never returned to serve the wine when glasses were empty. We had to ask for more water. No one asked us if we wanted drinks before dinner. The food is not very good. In fact, the waiter could have provided greater guidance to let us know that everything we ordered was quite spicy. The best part of the meal were the tortillas. This restaurant took over the location of Rivera but it does not come close to Rivera's service and food. Parking is $9 up to 2 hours, and thereafter $15.00. Our choice for that evening was Rossoblu or Broken Spanish. We should have gone to Rossoblu.

We had a wonderful meal and a great time here. Not sure what changed from others posts regarding the wait staff, but they were super attentive, cordial and courteous. They helped with selections and even discussed the dishes to indicate those that were spicy or not. In fact the food came out quickly and was superb. Somewhat expensive but it was totally worth it. So happy we came here.

The food was excellent especially the whole snapper. Presentation was on point and service was outstanding. Only one thing holding me back was that the drinks are soft. They tasted great but no kick at all. Maybe I’m just a strong drinker but my wife is not and she also said they lacked a punch. But hey you are here for the food and it was excellent.

Major disappointment! Food was not good, over priced (better carnitas at Central Market for $3.50), and service was horrible. Much better options out there - do not waste your time. The beans were undercooked, but sadly the tortillas were the only thing good about our meal.

The flavors are fabulous. Every time I come to Broken Spanish I feel I walk away saying, “that’s some of the best [insert dish] I’ve ever had.” Can’t get better than that. The drinks are delicious as well.

I have heard some much hype about Broken Spanish and live right around the corner. Finally decided to have dinner. I guess my expectations were too high. Food was good, but not terrific and service was fair. Somewhat pricey evening.

It's hard to imagine that this restaurant can get even better but it does. Had a fantastic meal and great glass of Spanish wine while my date had a well made, creative and tasty drink. Try the cauliflower "ceviche." Amazing! As was the unfried chile relleno

Went to dinner after a game at the Staples Center. We had reservations and got there early for drinks at the bar. EXCELLENT cocktails. Fantastic bartenders. We got to see some awesome food coming out of the kitchen! Table was ready on time. When we were seated we got great service, wonderful food, good suggestions and full stomachs. Broken Spanish smells great walking in the door and does not disappoint. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a terrific meal.

The dining room was very chilly and the tables were too high for the chairs where we were
first seated. The room when it was Rivera was much more comfortable and attractive.

The food was very good although the duck was toooo spicy - not moderate as we were told.

Wait staff were excellent.

Menu formula difficult to understand, bar in the centre was loud and it made it difficult talk with others on our table, quality sauces could have accompanied the meal.

Food was very good. Cocktails were unique. Bar service was delayed relative to food service. Order drinks often, but early. Service was otherwise quite good. Our waitstaff were attentive and offered food and cocktail suggestions. They were attentive to clearing dishes and utensils. The restaurant has an open format, and it was packed on a Sunday night. That made it noisy, so not a great romantic place. Definitely worth checking out. The restaurant was very responsive to my constantly changing party size, which I truly appreciated.

I had to show up about two hours before my reservation and they were very accommodating, food was excellent, the chicharrón plate has got to be one of the best things I have ever tasted, along with the homemade tortillas and the cabbage it made for excellent tacos. Also ordered the oxtail quesadillas and for dessert I had a choco taco which was just to die for!! The cocktails were very well crafted as well.

The price was a bit steep for normal everyday dinning I believe my check came out to be almost $130.00 for just one person and that’s not including tip, but at the end of the day you get what you paid for and I did not mind the price one bit!!!!

Wow!!! We had a most delicious late night dinner after a Lakers - Cavaliers game. Every dish we ordered was layered with flavor and beautifully presented. The homemade blue corn tortillas had the perfect chew & thickness to hold spoonfuls of the delicious “refried” black lentils; the succulent, rich lamb tamale was otherworldly; & Broken Spanish’s interpretation of barbacoa is brilliant- the brisket was falling apart tender surrounded by smoky pink beans and a rich mole sauce.
