Every item we ordered was terrific -- well prepared, well thought out, delicious. The waiter helped with many suggestions and even got one member of our party a special non-alcoholic drink that wasn't on the menu. Can't wait to try it again.

The food and drinks were excellent, making up for the unfortunate fire alarm experience. The dining room was on the loud side, requiring us to speak loudly. Even so, we had a great time. Highly recommend the barbacoa.

The food was good but there were a couple issues that made the visit less than ideal. The biggest issue was with the noise level. We asked to be in the main room bc the back room is typically so so loud. There was a large and extremely loud party sitting in the middle bar seating that made it impossible to hear. I understand the difficulty of the situation for the wait staff but I would've hoped the wait staff or management would've addressed the party. There were several other tables looking at the party and turning around bc of the noise.

Also, we asked for our food to come out all together, it did not; our tortillas came out before our mains; and our water glasses were not re-filled even though we put them at the end of the table and kept trying to get the wait staffs' attention.

Food, as always, was outstanding. But the service was bad. Courses were not well planned, and we had to wait and wait and wait for food to come out. They actually forgot one course until we reminded them. This is the first bad experience we’ve had in many times coming here, so hopefully they were just having an off night.

My boyfriend and I love this restaurant, we’ve been coming here since 2017, when we had our 1st date. The food is clean, uncomplicated, and delicious. It will leave you satisfied and thinking about the next time you return. You can taste the passion and see the great teamwork.

Food was wonderful, had a great time. We drove pretty far in to get the happy hour which on the website says mon - fri. When we arrived our server told us there is no happy hour, a bit of a bummer since we planned specifically for that. But beyond that everything was good

My daughter, grandson and I frequent this restaurant for special occasions. The food is excellent and so is the service. We think this restaurant is one of Los Angeles's best. We always look forward to returning.

First time there off a recommendation and it was well worth it. Slight learning curve to ordering the food as it is meant to share but I gave it 5 stars because I will return and because I would have no problem recommending this place to my mother or my boss.

The service and attention to detail was great. Drinks were crafted well and very balanced to pair with the rich food. Their take on Mexican food was interesting and delicious. Ultimately , we went to try the desserts from Chef Marquez. We saw his creativity on the show Chopped and it did not disappoint in person. We would go back again as it was a very delightful experience overall.

Service and ambiance was excellent. We had two drinks and two appetizers so I can’t comment on the entrees. I must say it was very expensive and you have to order/pay for tortillas separately from an appetizer that requires them. Our bill came to $74 for the order. The entrees were even higher so be prepared.
The ratio of high cost to value is the only reason I won’t return.

Amazing meal!! We came here on a recommendation from Chef Mario Christerna, and we were very impressed! Great meal, ambiance, the drinks and the food were both superb. And we loved all the authentic decor with the blown glass and terracotta lights, it was very unique and modern while still paying homage to the authentic culture. 5 stars!

The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is nice. Service was very slow. We were seated for almost half an hour before the server came over to finally take our meal order. However, the food and beverages were mediocre and overpriced. The drinks that we ordered were mostly ice. The drinks were probably 75% ice--very overpriced for drinks ranging from $15-$20. As to the food: extremely salty, lacking flavor, and not well presented. We ordered the cheese fondue appetizer, which was greasy and salty. The octopus appetizer was very salty and lacking flavor. The lamb shank and short rib were decent, but they also were too salty and didn't have an appealing presentation. They were placed on a large bed of beans, without much else. I would say that the best part of the meal was the arroz con leche dessert-tasty, flavorful, and well presented. For a meal that cost almost $250, it was a waste of money. Poor value. I wouldn't return to this restaurant ever again.

The service was terrible. It took forever for us to eat. We ordered the chicken and the waiter never notified the kitchen. This caused quite a delay. Once the chicken finally arrived, it was tasteless and undercooked. It had some green sauce that must be very expensive because the chicken costs over 30 dollars! Total waste of both time and money.
In regards to the drinks, w had to return one back. We ended up just ordering wine since it’s a safe choice.
The one highlight was the chicharron. However, overall the restaurant is not one I would recommend. One plate is not enough to rate a restaurant as a good one.
I never write reviews and I felt the need to write this one. That should tell you everything.
